Super Human

Many men are finding that they have strange powers suddenly. These powers can be anything, from breathing fire to super strength to flying to turning into steel.

There are only two things in common with each person gaining powers:

1)They're all men.
2)They're all gay.

It seems that being gay has it's advantages lately...

Name: Levi Jones

Power: Perfect Cat-like reflexes and even claws.

Personality: He's very intelligent, but very shy. He lacks real social skills and has always outcast himself for being gay, refusing to get too close to friends in fear of being rejected.

Bio: As he has always been too afraid to make friends, and has always kept a distance from his parents, the most interesting thing in his life is the fact that nothing interesting ever happens.

Recently he grew cat-ears and a tail, and because of this he has been in hiding. He's been wearing a hat and hiding his tail down his pants but he can't sit properly like that, so he stopped going to school.

Eventually his parents discovered his secret stash of gay porn mags, and they shouted at him and when his father slapped him his hat came off, and they were shocked to see his ears. He was promptly kicked out. Ever since he's been living on the streets.

Power: He can manipulate gravity on himself and other objects or people.

Personality: An average guy, fairly friendly, fairly social, though he doesn't show much emotion. He can't help but help others in need though. He's not exactly in the closet but he doesn't shout out his sexuality to the world either.

Bio: He is a a college student majoring in literature and English and is a student teacher in a high school. He only found out his true sexuality when he tried to sleep with a girl but found it uncomfortable and revolting. Then he tried sleeping with a guy and fireworks erupted (in more ways than one). His parents were understanding but still uncomfortable about it. He doesn't have many close friends, despite his friendly demeanor, so not many people knew he was gay. He recently discovered his powers when he suddenly began to float through the air along with the objects around him. He was quick to control it though and hides his powers in fear of discrimination and being experimented on by the government. He still uses it though for small things, like lifting heavy objects or being quick on his feet.

Levi was sitting at a park. He sighed deeply at seeing so many other happy people around.

Currently to hide his appearance he was wearing a small and warm hat and his tail was wrapped around his waist like a belt, having discovered that he could do so.

Gerald was walking through the park with a group of classmates. They dragged him along for some reason and he just couldn't say no. He was currently chatting with a classmate, discussing a project they had to be doing. He was scribbling down the things they need on a spare piece of paper, but suddenly a hard wind blew and the piece of paper flew from his hands.

Startled, Gerald chased after it.

Levi looked around, wondering what he should do today. He wasn't into the superhero thing like a few guys on tv seem to be doing. Not that cat powers were that useful.

He saw a piece of paper flying on the wind and caught it, looked at it for a moment then noticed someone coming towards him. He blushed a little, because this guy was cute. But he contained himself, "U-uhm, is this yours?" he asked.

Gerald let out a breath and nodded once he approached the young boy that caught his paper. It would be such a pain to write everything down again.

Then he did a double take. The boy... well the boy was adorable. Small, slender, and shy it would seem considering the blush on his face and the slight stutter in his words. It had been a while since someone truly caught his eye, but it was never someone younger than him.

"Thank you," Gerald said as he reached out to take his paper. He couldn't stop staring at the boy though. He wondered just how old he was...

The boy nodded a little. "You're wel-" suddenly another big wind blew while his head was bowed, and his hat flew off, revealing his ears.

His reflexes kicked in and he grabbed the hat, putting it back on instantly. However, he knew he wouldn't have been fast enough and blushed so hard that his whole face turned red.

He held out the paper expecting the other boy to call him a freak and walk off after taking the paper, or possibly not even want the paper...

Gerald's eyes widened when he saw the ears on top of the boy's head. His first thought was if they were fake, but guessing from the boy's reddened face they probably weren't.

But then another thought struck him. Was this boy... like him?

"Are those real?" he blurted out without thought. He mentally chastised himself though. Subtlety was never his thing.

Levi's blush somehow got redder. He had indeed seen it. He knew it, this guy was going to call him a freak.... or maybe even hit him. He really didn't want to be hit...

"N-w-well, yeah, they are," He almost lied, but that'd be stupid. He closed his eyes tight, bracing himself. Oh gawd he must look so stupid right now being all afraid...

Gerald felt near elation. He had felt that he was alone in this world with his weird powers manifesting but now he had met someone just like him! Well, maybe not exactly like him but close enough!

"Hey Gerald! Are you coming or what?" one of his classmates called from a little way away. They had been waiting for him but he was taking his time talking to the short boy.

"I'll meet up with you guys later!" Gerald called back at them before turning to the boy and holding out his hand. "Will you come with me, please?" He really wanted to talk with the boy and see just how alike they were.

Levi looked at the hand.

The boy looked up to the other boy's face, and realised. He wasn't being pushed away. He wasn't being punished for being different. He noticed the other boy was happy even. Was he joking with him? Playing with his emotions?

No, he was sincere, and the realisation made Levi so happy.

"S-Sure!" He said, grabbing the other boy's hand happily as he stood up.

Name: Caleb Younghusband (*shot for stealing the name of the famous half-Filipino soccer player*)

Age: 17

Power: Light manipulation (as opposed to my usual shadow manipulation. LMAO)

Personality: Cheerful, friendly, feminine, loves making friends, loves to shop, just your basic flamboyantly gay male. But though he may seem ditzy, Caleb is a very independent and hands on (*cough*) person. He also won't back down from a fight.

Bio: He was born into a wealthy family but his parents were very dismayed when he quickly came out of the closet at a young age. Fortunately they were accepting, even when Caleb decided to move out of the house (*cough*mansion*cough*) near the beginning of his senior year. Around that same time, Caleb noticed that light seem to behave funnily around him. Soon enough he discovered that he could manipulate light and he used it to his advantage, usually to make bishie sparkles around him and get himself noticed by guys.

Smiling a little, Gerald pulled the boy away and to a more secluded part of the park. After making sure no one was around to see them, he turned towards the younger boy and nodded.

"My name is Gerald Anderson," he started. Best to go with introductions first. "I'm sorry for acting suspicious, but I just wanted to know..."

He trailed off, looking at the boy's head.

As Levi half walked/was half pulled along, he thought of what the other boy might want.

His blush had died down, but it seemed to grow a tad as he said, "Oh, right... well..." He didn't even know, "Well, I guess I'll give my name too. Levi Jones," he said, trying to delay explaining his... odd condition.

"Levi..." Gerald repeated. He liked the name. It just seemed to roll off his tongue. "I think you and I are the same. Well, not exactly the same but..." He tried to find the words to say what he wanted but stopped short. He thought it would a visual example would be better. "Here, watch."

He raised his hand at the nearest boulder and took away its gravity. A second later the rock began floating into the air but Gerald restored its gravity so it came falling back to the ground. Feeling like he needed to make a point, Gerald turned his attention towards the nearest tree, making it considerably heavier that the branches bowed and the trunk groaned with the sudden weight. He restored the gravity on that too and the tree snapped back into place, some stray leaves falling from its perch.

Levi's eyes widened, "Amazing..." He looked at his own hands. No way could he do something so incredible.

"W-well, I guess we're both different.... but your power is so much cooler!" He said, looking at the boulder again, "Well, what am I saying, what I have is hardly a power, I just have big ears and a tail..." he said, looking down. Well, he had become much more sharp and his hand-eye coordination had increased significantly. But he didn't know how to describe that without it sounding kinda normal. He'd have to demonstrate as well.

A sudden idea occurred to him, "Alright, then ... do you want to see what I can do?" he asked tentatively. He was waaaaayyyy outside his comfort zone asking this question.

Gerald smiled in relief at Levi's understanding and he nodded at the boy's question. He really was interested in seeing what the boy could do (*cough*) and he wanted to see those ears again because really, it made Levi; look even cuter.

Levi nodded, "Alright, then..." He looked around. His power would be more likely to attract attention, so he needed to make sure nobody else saw. He loosened his tail and took off his hat. His balance was much better with his tail out. He blushed magnificently as his tail and ears came out because he had never willingly shown anyone these before.

He then jumped at the tree, his claws out, and caught onto it from halfway up, and climbed it perfectly, and he came back down, hanging from the tree with his head towards the ground. He looked up to see what Gerald's reaction was.

Gerald had to hold back a few chuckles. "Wow, the ears and tail seem really appropriate," he said. "Cat-like reflexes and speed, amazing..."

And he's probably as flexible as a cat... Where the hell did that thought come from?

Levi blushed but this time... it was a good one. He was complimenting him! Oh and maybe some of the blush was from being upside down.

He did a flip and landed on his feet, and then he grabbed his hat, putting it back on. "So... you like my power then?" He asked.

"I think it's cu- quite useful," Gerald said, quickly covering up his near slip of the tongue. "I do wonder though... why did we get such powers? I was very confused when I discovered them, not to mention freaked out."

Levi smiled at the compliment. "Thanks," He said very quietly.

Then he nodded, "Yeah, I was really freaked out too. I thought something was wrong with me, but... I don't know, finding that you have powers too makes me feel ..." better? He wasn't sure what he was supposed to say. Instead of finishing the sentence he blushed and looked around. Some kid had run by. It startled him.

Gerald smiled a little. Levi really looked like a skittish little kitten. It was really quite adorable.

"Not as alone in the world?" he asked, filling in Levi's unfinished question. "Yes, I feel that way also."

(Alright, so to get some plot going I'll take the liberty of introducing a villian. If you don't want a villian to mess with things just ignore the part where he shows up here. I'll make his bio later but for now...)

Levi smiled, "Yeah, someone else like me for a change," He sighed a bit. Things were looking up! This guy could turn out to be a friend! Well, if he wanted to have Levi around anyway.

And on that note, there was a sudden scream. A car was flipped over and the woman inside was screaming.

"Woops, sorry," Said a big guy. He was huge, and clearly not that smart. He turned around, and looked at the car. He picked it up and put it back to rightside up, then tore off the door, "I just wanted your money please," He said, reaching in to grab her purse apparently.

Levi gasped. He didn't expect something like this to happen out of nowhere. He felt bad for the woman, he wanted to help her. But what could he do?

Gerald spun around at the sound of the scream and his eyes narrowed at the guy who was now mugging a poor woman. Not being able to just stand by and watch, he quickly walked over to the scene.

"Hey! Leave her alone!"
