After the war between Avians and Serpiente ended, many moved to Wyvern's Court where many types of shapeshifters reside. Even the Dancer's Guild decided to make this new place their home. Though animosity between Avians and Serpiente still remain, times have been peaceful in Wyvern's Court.

Maya Evergreene walked down the streets of Wyvern's Court, her Alistair walking next to her looking tense and preoccupied. Dart was more than likely uncomfortable around all these Serpiente. It made sense, not too long ago her Alistair was fighting in the war, killing many Serpiente men. "Dart, they're not going to jump out and attack you."

"Huh?" The young man looked down at her in a bit of surprise before rlaxing, "Right, sorry. I just.. don't trust them..."

Addaline strolled down the street, looking around. This was her first time to Wyvern's court and so she was just taking in the sights for today.

She came across a young couple and nodded towards them in greeting as she passed.

Kumar was dancing in the street. Why? Because he wanted to. No special reason, no real need. A few people were watching as he performed seductive moves and dance techniques. Nothing he was doing was all that special. Easy stuff quickly learned. However, it was enough to astound several Avians who've never seen the Serpiente dance before.

With the busy streets full of various shape-shifters, it was easy to miss the lithe Serpiente girl, except for her characteristic white hair which stood out against the blandly colored buildings, as did her colorful attire. She moved swiftly through groups of people, keeping up a steady pace as she jogged down the street.

Rounding a corner, the girl was moving fast enough that she didn't have time to move out of the way of an Anvian man walking alongside another dark-haired girl. She wasn't moving fast enough to slam into him hard or anything, but enough that it made her cry out in surprise and stumble back after the impact. "Sorry!"

Out in the forest surrounding Wyvern's Court, and young Lion girl was collecting herbs and putting them into a self-weaved basket. She was currently in her human form, the bangs of her black hair getting into her eyes as she leaned over to pick something up, and she had to swiftly brush them out of the way as she continued her search.

She was looking for the ingredients to create a simple medical salve that you could put over most wounds and reduce the pain. it was a useful medicine, especially when she accidentally cut herself on a wayward branch.

The young avian suddenly reached towards his belt at getting bumped into, only to realize he had no sword with him. Maya had insisted that he leave it at home. When he realized the one who bumped into him was just a woman, he visibly relaxed. Beside him, Maya only shook her head at Dart.

"It really is a good thing I made you leave that sword Dart, you're so jumpy," Maya said.

Dart flushed slightly in embarrassment at the mistake he almost made and coughed before turning to the Serpiente, "Ah... well... I am sorry about that miss, do you need help up?"

"Oh no! I'm fine.. I really should pay attention when I'm jogging like that," She chuckled at her own expense, pushing herself up to her feet and brushing off the blanket that she was wearing around herself like a cloak. She hadn't noticed his movement as if he was reaching for a weapon, and it probably wouldn't have bothered her if she had.

"I'm really sorry about bumping into you.. ah.. you. I'm Amisi, by the way." While she was talking, she had taken a strip of cloth off of her wrist and used it to tie her hair into a low ponytail, as it had been whipping in her face a bit when she was running.

She looked between Dart and Maya, then ended up looking back at Dart. "You two new to Wyvern's Court? You seem a little.. uneasy." She smirked and shrugged. "Not that I blame you, this place is big.. I was scared to death when I first come here from my old home."

Meanwhile, a short distance away, in that same forest, Moira stomped on the groin of one who had been foolish enough to challenge her.

"I wish you had taken my advise, and refrained from challenging me, fool," she said, as she kicked him in the ribs. "However, I'm offering you a chance at redempton..."

She then kicked his ribs several more times, till she was sure she'd cracked a few of them.

"If you can make it into town by tomorrow in your condition, you'll be welcomed back into the pack with open arms," she said, as she walked away. "Good luck, you'll need it,"

The man groaned in pain as she turned her back on him. She wanted to look back at him, and make sure she hadn't killed the guy; but she kept walking.

She hadn't enjoyed the fight at all; it was a means to an end. If there was one thing the pack understood, it was strength; and to back down from a challenge was to show weakness.

Jafari lifted her heard a bit, swearing she heard fighting coming from nearby and a few yells of pain.. but she brushed it off when it stopped and continued with her task. As she kept searching, though, it became increasingly obvious there had been a fight when she saw a man limping through the forest toward where she was.

Instantly going into nurse-mode, she ran over to him. "Sir! Please wait! You shouldn't be moving around in your condition!" Grabbing his arm, she tried to stop him, her basket of herbs and such sitting nearby. "Please, let me help you, alright?"

She started tugging on his arm, trying to leave her over to where the basket was. She was wearing a bag that was full of already-prepared salves and strips that she used to cover and wrap wounds. She reached into her bag, already feeling for one that she knew contained a pain-killing agent.

"L-leave me!" he said, trying to resist treatment. "I-I have to make it back to town! With my own strength! Or...I won't get...back in...."

He fell over.

Jafari was, surprisingly, able to catch the man, which was probably aided by the fact she had turned into her stronger Demi form. She pulled the man over to where her basket was and laid him down, kneeling down next to him.

From there, she proceeded to remove his shirt and fold it up, placing it under his head like a pillow. From his bruises, she could tell that the man's ribs were fractured. Searching in her bag, she found a paste she had made that turned cold when it was applied to skin. She poured a good amount onto the bruised areas and rubbed it int, the put the bottle away.

She got out the bottle she had been reaching for before and lifted the man's head, pouring it into his mouth and rubbing his throat to make him swallow it. He was covered with other, smaller injuries as well, which she quickly patched up at needed. Smiling when she was finished, she laid the man's head on her lap, lighting patting his head as she did so. "There we are."

While she waited for him to wake up, she got her motor and pestle out and proceeded to start making more salves and liquid medicines with the herbs she had gathered, softly humming an old lullaby her mother used to sing to her.

"You should have left him," said Moira, from behind the girl. "I won't be able to let him back into the pack like that,"

Jafari leaped in shock when she heard the voice, quickly whipping around. Her gaze traveled up until she met the eyes of the Wolf woman and her ears drooped slightly as she cowered a bit. "Why not? He was badly injured.. he needed to be taken care of.. that's the normal thing to do, isn't it?"

There was no way she could have left the man behind, not when he needed her help. Glancing down at him, she frowned, wondering how he got in this condition. Turning her gaze back up to the woman, she tilted her head slightly. "Wait.. 'let him back in the pack'.. are you the Alpha? How did he get like this?"

"He got like this because he thought the pack needed new leadership and refused to accept a compromise," said Moira. "And yes, I'm the Alpha,"

"Did.. did you do this?!" Jafari looked shocked. Why on earth would a leader abuse one of their subordinates like this? Sure, the leader of her old pride had punished those who disobeyed with this like short-term exiles and small beatings, but never something to this extent. "That's.. pardon me but.. that's just stupid! Attacking him will only make him dislike you more.. and who knows what he would be capable of if he truly hated you enough?"

She huffed softly and patted the man's head. "I almost don't blame him if this is a regular thing, Miss Alpha." Shortly after she finished speaking, she was certain she had said too much. She quickly turned away from the other woman, eyes wide, ears perked and tail bristling in fear. "B-but that's just my opinion.. and.. I-I'm just an unimportant Lion.."

"I didn't attack him," said Moira. "He challenged me to a fight for control of the pack, and I lead him to a spot that we agreed upon beforehand,"

She looked down at the unconcious man.

"My other options were to let him win, or step down as leader," she said. "And if I'd done that; it wouldn't be long before someone with less mercy than myself challenged him; so really, I did him a favor,"

"Oh yes, I'm Maya and this is my Alistair, Dart," The young raven said gesturing toward the brown haired man next to her, who only nodded in acknowledgment, "We got here just yesterday."

Unlike her betrothed, she did not hold the prejudice of other Avians. While flustered by some serpiente ways, she was truely curious about the culture. Well she wasn't completely trusting either, but just because she didn't fully trust them didn't mean she shouldn't be on friendly terms with them.

Dart on the other hand, chose to let Maya do all the talking. He didn't trust himself not to say anything stupid. He already tried to stab the poor girl for bumping into him. Maybe Maya was right, he needed to calm down and not be so jumpy.

Addaline happened upon a Serpiente dancing. She was surprised by how... risqué... it was. It was surprising for her as an Avian to see something like that for the first time. She couldn't help but stare... some might have thought she was attracted to him.

Kumar continued his dance, increasing the difficulty as he went along, performing not necessarily any traditional dance but random various moves that happened to work together. He like making things up as he went along...

Jafari still didn't like it, and she turned around to look at the Alpha, frowning as she was unable to hide her displeasure. ".. I suppose I understand, though I still don't like it. It's probably because I am far from being a leader.. and certainly not sure how Wolf packs work."

She glanced down at the man, ears and tail drooping. She lightly patted his head, seeming to deliberate a moment before she spoke. ".. Can you really not let him into the pack? I mean.. it isn't his fault.. I'm the one that decided to help him, so it isn't fair that he's the one that should be punished. I mean.. if you were really doing him a favor.. you must be more kind than you seem.. yes?"

"Alistair..." Amisi repeated the unfamiliar word in a low voice. She'd heard it somewhere when she had learned a little about Avian culture, but she couldn't remember what it meant, exactly. Nothing important, she guessed. Probably 'brother' or something. She quickly brushed it off, now focusing her attention on Maya.

She certainly was more pleasant to look at. Not that Dart was ugly by any means.. he just didn't have.. feminine charms. "Only yesterday then, hm? Well, I'd be honored if you would allow me to be your guide!" She didn't wait for an answer, instead reaching out to grab Maya's hand. "Come on! There's someone I want you to meet, too! He's one of my.. hm.. nest-buddies!"

She started pulling the other girl along, smiling as she did so, a bounce in her step. It was always nice to meet new people.. even if they were Avians. Bringing them along with her, she stopped when they came to another Serpiente, a man dancing. "Kumar!" Amisi called out to the man, smiling cheerfully as she waved. "Looking beautiful~!"

Moira raised at the girl.

"I suppose...that he could not stop you from helping him," she said. "I will give him another challenge to get back into the pack. However, I will not help you get him back to town,"

At one of the Taverns in Wyverns court, Poor looking played his Lute, giving relaxing atmospheare. Jalel moved his fingers from Lute's string to string plaing each cord. He Considered himself as failed Alistair ever since He and his lover were attacked. His Love disapearing and only things left of her were blood and cut off large wing.

He reached the end of the music becoming fast paced and suddenly slowing down. The he played last couple cords which were fitting to musics end. It was time for his break, moving to outside air watching several shapeshifters walk the streets. He took a deep breath of air and exhaled.

A Mistari named Imekar Perfomed on the street, juggling with two ball's which were set on fire, Audience watching how he quickly threw balls of fire into air and catching them. Making grand finish to his juggling. Catching all balls into one hand and bowing to audience. Suddenly acting how ball burned his hand. but catched the againg holding one between his fingers nodding his head with sheepish comical smile, showing that ball was really on fire but didn't burn him, causing audince to laugh at thish sight.

"Fine! I don't need any help, from you or from him. I'll take care of this myself so he won't have a choice but be helped.. and it won't be his fault!" Jafari had a determined look in her eyes as she stood, tail swishing. Turning about, she looked down at the man, and frowned. Even in her Demi form she wasn't the strongest.. but she had to try. For this injured man's sake!

Huffing, she carefully lifted him into a sitting position, thankful he was unconscious or this would hurt, even with the strong sedative and pain medication she fed him. Holding him up with one arm, she walked in front of him and sat between his legs. Then, she reached behind her and grabbed the bottom of one of his legs with one arm and held his back with the other.

Alright. She could do this. Leaning forward, she grunted as she stood up, staggering forward as she tried to hold onto him. Bumping into a tree, she winced as she hit her nose, but ignored it, using it to stabilize herself as she adjusted the man on her back. After a few moments, she finally got him to piggyback on her, and she took a couple shaky steps forward. "Alright... I'm off!"

"Good luck with that," said Moira, as she walked back towards town.

What a strange person. she thought, somewhat hypocritically.

Kumar smiled and nodded, "Heya Amisi!" He switched over to a special move that would have swooned any girl who was into a more masculine type. But to Amisi he knew it was just a playful gesture. He winked at the girl holding Amisi's hand, and continued dancing.

Maya blushed profusely at having her hand suddenly grabbed. Touching was a no no in Avian society so something like this made the smaller girl greatly flustered and embarrassed. Though she tried her best to hide this fact. It was not acceptable to show such emotions in public no matter how un used to this she was.

"O-oh! You shouldn-" Maya's protest died in her throat as she continued to allow herself to be pulled, only half listening to the other girl.

Meanwhile, Dart scowled slightly but said nothing of it. It was just a woman serpiente after all. If it had been a male, Dart would have been quick to pick a fight, but a woman would mean no harm to his betrothed. Being her Alistair, no matter that their relationship was more familial than anything, he felt the need to protect her from any danger. But then again, lots of brothers would do the same for their sister, so that still meant nothing for any romance they should but do not have.

Once they reached the dancing man, Maya blushed even more brightly. Such dancing... no Avian would dance like this. It was unthinkable. Then he winked at her and she felt she would explode, possibly in anger. This was too much for the young Avian. And Dart himself knew the girl was prone to losing her temper when too flustered. He had seen it many times growing up when they were in private. He was unsure what to do, sending a glancing glare at Kumar. Should he take Maya and leave, but then again that would be rude to Serpiente woman. He did not want to be rude.

She thanked a variety of gods and goddesses that the city wasn't too far away, as the man began to feel heavier and heavier the further she walked. Still, the soft-spoken Lion was determined when it came to taking care of an injured person, so she wouldn't let something like this slow her down. Gritting her teeth, she breathed hard through her noise as she walked, leaning forward to keep the man on her.

She soon arrived at the city gates and went inside Wyvern's Court, getting odd looks as the Demi-form Lion carried the Human-form Wolf inside. Now.. to find a proper doctor. Asking around, she finally found a healer, and laid the man one one of the beds in the healer's home. There wasn't much more the healer would do except bind the wounds better with more professional tools, so that went by quickly and she left Jafari and the man alone.

Jafari sat by the man's bedside, reverting back to her human-form and shutting her eyes, resting up. It didn't take long for her to doze off into a light sleep.

Amisi released the Avian girl's hand and smiled when Kumar greeted her. The movement was a masculine version of part of a dance she knew of, which she quickly reciprocated in kind, except in the feminine way that would cause most men to stare, with her hips swaying and her eyelids slightly lowered. She, too, knew this would be ineffective in the usual way against Kumar, and it was more like a friendly greeting than any form of flirtation. "You've been practicing that dance, I see. It's coming along quite nicely. If I was more than a friend to you, I would already have jumped you." She chuckled playfully at the other Serpiente, then turned back to her guest, having released her hand.

She seemed a little, flustered. Angry, even. She could feel the hostility coming off on her in waves. It dawned on her that most Avians wouldn't be used to this sort of dancing, would they? She had forgotten that Avians were more.. chaste.. than her kind. She'd have to be more careful of that. Deciding to distract Kumar before this got out of hand, she went over to him and leaned up on her toes, kissing him on the lips in a friendly manner. This sort of this was normal in her society, anyway. "Kumar, this is Maya, and that is Dart, her Alistair.." she trailed of, letting that 'whatever that means' go implied.

She held onto Kumar's shoulders for a moment, her body close to his, but it didn't really bother her much. Contact was the norm since birth, so personal space meant little. She quickly went over to her guests. "This is Kumar. He's part of the Dancer's Guild, the same as me."

Kumar smirked, "And I think I'd have done the same to you just now," he said in response to her comment.

He slowed his dance as she approached, thinking for just a foolish moment she was going to dance with him or something. He smiled as she kissed him and he stopped dancing entirely.

"Hello," He said. He tried to speak in a more ... professional? tone to try and keep things light between him and the avians. He had spoken to one before and had been told very gruffly that he was too playful with his speech. He waved a little when his name was said.

He thought to himself as to what an Allistair was. He honestly knew so little of Avian culture that the reason for him being in this town was to learn a bit about them. He considered asking them.

"Hello, pleasure to meet you Kumar," Maya greeted slightly embarrassed at seeing the two serpiente kiss, but now she had managed to calm and the redness in her face faded away.

Dart in turn nodded toward the serpiente man. Though more distrusting of him than the woman, he would play nice for Maya's sake, "That was impressive... dancing." He said a bit awkwardly. Unsure on how to find the words to praise such dancing.

Amisi couldn't help but snicker at the change in Kumar's voice. Ever since he got told off for it, he'd used that voice around Avians, and it didn't fail to make her laugh each time.

She stood off to the side a bit, letting the others converse and watching quietly. She felt a little bad for the Avians. They clearly weren't used to Serpiente culture. The closeness and dances must seem so foreign to them. It'd be funny if it wasn't so.. almost pitiful. While she stood there, she began to sway a bit, her body and hands moving as she began doing the stationary part of one of the dances, her hands coming together as if in prayer.

She was so used to being in motion and dancing that simply standing still was a bit.. difficult for her.

Kumar nodded, "Thank you very much," He said, smiling brightly at the couple.

"So, I was wondering... you said you're an ... all-stare? What's that?" He asked, a bit sheepishly.

Maya and Dart glanced at eachother awkwardly for a moment. The older of the two then cleared his throat to explain, "Alistair is a term used for an Avian woman's betrothed."

Both Avians seemed to grimace at the word betrothed. Neither of them wanted to be married to eachother. They would both much rather remain friends, but it seems that it was not to be so.

"We were engaged when I was still a baby," Maya continued to explain, the smallest of frowns on her face, before returning to a neutral expression.
