New Age RP

Totally lame title, but it's the best I can offer. And yes, there are slight spoilers here for my fic, but I can't wait any longer for posting this.

This RP is based on my Titan story. This is basically a zombie apocalypse RP, but it's not your ordinary zombie apocalypse.

A virus has broken out and spread throughout the world. New forms of life are popping up due to the virus and humanity has to adapt to the change and accept that they are no longer on top of the food chain.

No plot as of yet, but we'll make it up as we go along I guess. The RP takes place in America (yay!) fifty years after the actual outbreak.

• Human - Exactly what they are. They are uninfected, but will be if they are bitten or somehow ingested bodily fluid from any infected. They are of average strength and speed, though may pull off amazing feats if pressured enough. They can handle any kind of weapon be they firearms, blades, or even a rusty pipe, they can use it. Can easily be killed through any means but they have unique survival instincts that may make the task difficult.

• Undead - These are humans who let the virus completely take over their mentality. Their primary goal is to eat any kind of living flesh that appear in their midst. They are slightly stronger and faster than humans, but not so much that they seem superhuman. A side effect of the virus leaves them essentially incapable of intelligence. They are not much of a threat if alone for they can easily be killed by shooting or decapitating their heads but when in large numbers (known as Droves) survival rate is low.

• Feral - These are mostly mutated animals made more deadly but when a human becomes a Feral not only does his body mutate into something animalistic but his mindset becomes more animalistic as well. Ferals can and will move in groups and have an alpha that rules them. They are also the only form of the virus that can procreate.

• Titans - These are humans who have essentially become superhumans after becoming infected. There is a slim chance a human can become a Titan and only one out of ten thousand infected humans can become one. When a human becomes a Titan, he or she forms a fleshy "egg" around them and incubates in it for an indefinite amount of time, which differs to each human. When the new Titan hatches, he or she retains a largely humanoid appearance but gains a unique mutation (wings, extra appendages, tails, etc.) and have enhanced strength, speed, and senses. They are much harder to kill for they retain their human intelligence as well and can heal their wounds at high speed. But unlike Undead and Ferals, Titans don't eat humans. Instead they eat Ferals for they need the virus and the high amounts of protein that Feral meat contains. They are still capable of eating human food even though they don't need the nutrients.

• Gods - These are a step above Titans and are much rarer. They have the same foundations as Titans, but the difference between them is that Gods gain unique supernatural abilities such as manipulating elements or other such phenomenon. Also, though they retain human intelligence like Titans, they have no memory of their lives as humans even though they know basic things such as eating, speaking, etc. And unlike Titans, who need a "parent" to help stabilize their fluctuating mutations, a newborn God is, for lack of a better word, perfect and have no need for any stabilizers. A surefire way of differentiating a God from a Titan is the color of their sclera; Titan sclera are white, like ordinary humans, while God sclera are black.

Note: We need more humans than Titans and the limit of Gods is five. Also, we still need bad guys so whether they be mad scientists, Gods who are on a power trip, or Titans who just love killing, we need them.

Name: Ruby Red

Age: 66 but looks 18 (she was sixteen when the virus broke out and eighteen when she was infected)

Personality: A little indifferent, a little sarcastic, a little energetic from time to time. She has her own territory in Southern California but likes to travel when she gets bored at home. She enjoys reading books and likes to collect them on her travels, even the new-age ones that the human colonies managed to print. Being a former peaceful girl as a human, she now has no qualms about a little violence and doesn't hesitate to smack people on head when they annoy her or are generally causing a ruckus.

Weapons & Abilities: She uses a sword as her main weapon, but she also has a few combat knives on her person and her tail (her mutation from turning into a Titan) was proved useful for combat. Her abilities is the usual Titan ones; enhanced speed, strength, and senses.

Backstory: Ruby was a refugee from another country who had come to America with her family. She lived in a safe zone for two years before Ferals managed to attack it. She lost her parents in the chaos and had managed to drive away from the safe zone with her brother. Unfortunately, in an abandoned convenient store they spent the night in, Ruby discovered that her brother had been infected, though he was able to stave off the mutations for a couple hours. At her brother's begging, Ruby killed him with a shotgun she pilfered, but not before she became infected herself from her brother's bite. She was too cowardly to kill herself and thus succumbed to the virus and turning into a Titan. To this day she's guilty about not being able to protect her brother and being too cowardly to kill herself when she could easily pull the trigger against her bro.

Ruby got her name from her Titan parent, who had left her years ago once she was able to survive the world on her own. Her parent said that her eyes looked blood red and that was originally what she was going to be called. But she refused to be called Blood, so the name was changed to Ruby Red instead.

Name: Arthra Murder

Age: 53 (Infected at and looks 3)

Gender: Female

Race: Titan

Appearance: A toddler, usually wearing pink, with eight long spider legs protruding from her back. Her mouth has long fangs sticking out like mandibles, and she has two extra, smaller eyes off to the side of her head.

Personality: Highly intelligent, and also a bit batshit. She likes to play games of cat-and-mouse with prey, or as she calls it, spider-and-fly. She dislikes pretty much any other living thing except spiders - and scorpions, whom she considers close cousins and fellow arachnids - and thus will not show mercy to them.

Weapons & Abilities: In addition to the standard increased Titan strength, speed, and senses, Arthra can speak with and command spiders (her power works on scorpions as well, but to a smaller extent). She also can climb objects easily, spit incredibly durable web, and inject venom into people by biting them. Since her venom comes in larger amounts, it is deadlier than an ordinary spiders.

Backstory: Jenny, as she was once called, was infected at the age of three when her parents tried to escape their now-infected hometown in the American South. A massive black widow bit her, and she, by some miracle, became a Titan. The black widow that bit her was the leader of a Feral pack of spiders, that she became a part of. She knew that she was different, but the spiders accepted her anyway and gave her a home. When she could survive on her own, she left to find Titans to feast upon.

Name: Kevin "Kid" Taylor

Personality: An easy-going, trigger-happy, fun-loving son-of-a-gun with a southern drawl. Some say he's an expert on weaponry, but he barely knows anything about guns except how to point and shoot them. He loves his guitar, which he affectionately named Lucille, and when he kicks back to relax he'd usually strum a nice ditty on it.

Weapons & Abilities: Practically every firearm under the sun and them some. He's also prone to improvise weapons and keeps some daggers with him for close combat since he can't always rely on firearms.

Backstory: He's a new age baby, meaning he was born after the virus outbreak. He was born and lived in a human colony named Colony 51 (which used to be Area 51 and no, it didn't actually house aliens much to many people's disappointment). His father was a military man and taught him self-defense. By the time he was old enough, Kid joined the security force that protected C51. He found it to be a rather boring job, until one day there was suddenly an attack by a pack of Ferals. They were able to defend the colony and strike down the pack before any damage was done, but Kid loved the thrill of narrowly avoiding death and infection while gunning down the infected. He soon packed up his bags and traveled the country, shooting down Undead and Ferals along the way. He is now notoriously known as the Zombie Hunter and it isn't far from the truth.

Name: Delilah

Age: 20, looks about 17.

Appearance:

Personality: Never talks unless absolutely necessary. This has lead some to think that she's mute, though she conciously chose not to talk anymore. Hates eating ferals, but considers it a necessary evil. Believes that the purpose of the titans is to keep the feral population down, and usually goes out of her way to kill as many ferals as possible, usually more than she can eat.

Weapons & Abilities: She prefers her combat knife for when close ranged fighting is needed. Her mutation is that her mouth doesn't just open up. It unfolds into four parts, two of which have (non-venomous) stingers. In addition to the normal Titan abilities, she has the ability to spit acid.

Backstory: She used to be a very talkative girl. She and her older sister travelled by boat for the most part, occasionally docking on remote islands and coasts that didn't have too many zombies. However, one day, a feral somehow managed to get aboard their boat, and forced them to hide in hopes that they would get a chance to get the drop on it. Their plan failed when Delilah thought something was grabbing her and screamed. This lead the horrible right to where they were hiding. It bit her, right before her sister sacrificed herself to push it off the boat. She heard her sister scream as it dragged her down with it, and saw blood rise out of the water. She knew her sister was dead. All that was left for her was to sit alone aboard an empty boat and wait for death. But death didn't come. You can probably guess what happened after that.

Personality: Formerly a sweet and homely girl, she had now become.. basically a monster. With sadistic nad msochistic tendencies, she enjoys ripping people apart just as much as she likes being injured. Her body is littered with scars from healed wounds, some of which look self-inflicted. She tends to act like a rabid dog, prowling and snarling at everyone, yet she tends to screech like an agnry bird or a banshee when threatened. Sometimes it seems she's clung to some shred of sanity when she speaks, but most of the time she comes off as basically batshit insane.

Weapons & Abilities: Tears people apart with claws and teeth; increased strength and speed.

Backstory: 'Sufferer' was born with the name Ameila Artez. She was the daughter of a stay-at-home mom, and a genetic researcher trying to combat the new spreading infection. Despite her mother's protests, the young girl was used for a few tests. Simple blood tests as first, but eventually they began testing small strands of the ifnection on her. At first, it seemed like her body was able to combat the illness, and her father and his collegues were astounded. But, when the dosages increased, it became obvious that the girl was losing her humanity, especialyl after she slaughtered one of the doctors. She broke completely, and escaped by carving a path through all the scientists, including her father. Soon after escaping, she managed to run across another Feral, a dog-based one, and adopted it after beating it in a fight.

Backstory: Started off as a family pet, infected by the virus and began running amok. Picked up by Suf, became her loyal pet after being beaten, has a scar on his jaw from the fight.
