Starwish RP Template

RPG Shooter: Starwish is a Web Game that is Exactly What It Says on the Tin — a Horizontal Scrolling Shooter with RPG elements. Specifically, the author describes it as "a unique blend of a shooter, rpg, visual novel and dating sim": this shows ingame, where a lot of the drive of the game is based upon the storyline, the character interaction, and the upgrades and level ups for the main "shooter" game, which is played during missions on various sites of interest on the current planet.

Most humans come from the unnamed 'Home Planet'. Apparently in another galaxy than that of Earth, as Earth is mentioned but not the 'Home Planet' of the main characters.

There are a variety of species, including Pandakind (a species of panda-anthros, typically peace-loving but used to stockpile weapons for defense on their home planet of Bamboo before its destruction), Foxkind (a fox-anthro race skilled in illusionary magic, often used to make them look more appearing, also the only race with cloaking technology), Humans, Enigma (aquatic species). Plenty of other races out there, go nuts.

The more powerful species, the Lucernians, are Djinn (plural: Djinni, with control over air, often seen as manipulative by other races, use their charm and guile) and Efreet (plural: Efreeti, control over heat waves, proud and arrogant, not fond of being wrong or requireing help), and Marid (control over water, proud but not arrogant, tend to avoid conflict, went into hiding due to Djinn-Efreet war). Marid are the strongest, followed by Efeeti then Djinni. Efeeti and Dijnni are mortal enemies due to a century-long war on their home planet of Lucerna. All are capable of lesser or greater reality warping. All are also surprisingly good engineers, capable of building and repairing ships. Any member of these species that give up their powers to another are known as Jann (Janni). The person they give their powers to only gain a small amount of power if the original holder was extremely powerful.

Efeeti, Djinni and Marid require the power of their home planet to survive. Star Fragments (initially useless-looking thing sheet crosses of glowing iron) can be used to amplify their power. There are 7 Star Fragments in total. While they are mostly used my Lucernians, any supernatural ability can theoretically be enhanced by the Star Fragments.

Jobs on the mothership can be anything from Captain, Navigator, Pilot, and Gunner to Nurse, Chef, Mechanic, and Janitor.

Skills: Besides her piloting skills, she's also good at hand to hand combat, the use of small firearms, and knitting. She tends to pick weapons to install in her fighter based on either weirdness, or how cool they are.

Personality: Is a cloudcuckoolander to rival Ralph Wiggum; hence her reason for choosing so many seemingly odd weapons for her fighter. Believes that the universe operates on Rule of Cool; that things with ridiculously low chances of working are most likely to work, and that there's an evil walrus secretly stalking her.

Occupation: Engineer, acts as a part-time nurse.

Skills: Building and fixing spaceships, as well as maintenance on weapons for both the Mothership and the fighters. Knows quite a bit about first-aid. Being a Marid, she has the ability to manipulate reality to an extent, as well as manipulate water.

Personality: Ilay is outgoing for her race, willing to talk to just about anyone. Still, she retains the slightly aloof and calm demeanor her race is known for, often speaking in a voice that isn't monotone, but is nearly there, with an effeminate twist. When it comes to her work, she doesn't mess around, and she doesn't tolerate others doing so either, often reprimanding those that are slacking off or doing things that could harm themselves or others. While she is outgoing by her own race's standards, she doesn't often search for company, at least not like she did in her childhood, and finds a lot of peace in solitude, but as stated earlier, she doesn't mind talking if she is approached. These days, she doesn't really wear her suppression suit unless someone she isn't familiar with is coming on board, though she did wear it when she first joined the crew.

Bio: Like most of her race, she was originally born on Lucerna, and from birth was gifted with the ability to shape reality and bend water to her will. As the Djinn-Efeerit war raged on, her parents grew weary of the foolish fighting, and the three of them left the planet, heading off into the galaxy to find a more peaceful home. Eventually, they reached the human homeworld of 'Home Planet', and the three settled in there, masking their abilities and appearances by using full-body suppression suits. obviously this raised questions from their neighbors, but none of them dared ask directly or try to start anything over, as their presence even while in the suits was immense. Ilayda was at first rejected by the other kids, but that didn't stop her from trying, and eventually she made a few. When she reached her teen years, she began dabbling in the less reputable, buying and selling stolen merchandise. This eventually caused her to turn to piracy, and later join up with the Mothership pirates out of curiosity and necessity, as she is wanted by the Federation.
