Ragna the Saviour wrote:Touma reeled back from the kick. Something 'snapped' under the force of the blow. "Aggghhh." Berserker took a few steps back. He fell to a knee. The throat flexed. Saliva and vomit splattered onto the ground. "Gegh... you.. what?" he did it simply to get to him? He did it just to GET HIM mad? "You're a LUNATIC!" Touma quickly recovered from the hit from the powerful Senator and threw a hay-maker right into his jaw.

The sound echoed.

Did it work this time?

Did he actually manage to injure him?
The hit echoed like cannonfire, but the Senator remained unmoved. However...

"Hrrrrrgggg..." A large bruise had blossomed where Touma's fist had connected. He'd hit paydirt. But it hadn't been enough. The Senator growled, and responded with a right hook of his own. Not even bothering to see if he'd hit or how much damage he'd done, he began massaging the massive shiner, hissing as he drew breath the whole time. Like a photo being edited, the ugly purple bruise started to shrink, receding until it was invisible altogether. Patches of gunmetal grey rippled through the newly repaired flesh before returning to normal, leaving no evidence of even the most insignificant injury.

Alibaba's expression revealed a bit of shock before he reacted. He moved his blade into the path of the projectile, and parried it into the air, sending it flying off away from the fight. He was anxious about this fight for some reason. Was he worried about what the others could do? Well the only thing he knew about them was he didn't know what their full abilities were. No, he was worried about his allies. He couldn't let them die here, so he had to do everything he could.

Archer was way too intent on taking out Shiho, but he couldn't do anything to help her since the other Saber was right in front of him. For now, he'd have to fight her, "Oi Saber, I'm sorry but I can't hold back, you know?" He then jabbed his sword forward, firing off a huge pillar of fire at Saber. His hopes was that he'd at least incapacitate her, if not outright burn her down, so that he could help Shiho as soon as possible.

Issei was suddenly way out of his element. He knew some martial arts, that's for sure, but there was no way that'd work here... right? "Craaap, I knew nothing good would come from this," What should he do? At this point in time, he was actually separate from the fight since Shiho had dodged a different direction than he had to avoid any attacks. At first he thought this was a mistake but it wasn't not long before the other Archer had his own completely surrounded by weapons he had no way of identifying. But... that Tohsaka was separate as well. Should he attack her? What would that even accomplish? In the end the amount of time he spent trying to think of it was enough for everyone to do their next move.

---------

Ryner was tired of this. It was time to just drop the opposing servant right into the water. Saying yet another magical chant, he sent a flood of water into the Senator, with enough force to send even an elephant to the ground. Hopefully, this would send him flying into the river below.

Shiho fired at the two swords Kuro had threw at her, either finally breaking them completely or sending them off course from her. The other Archer wasn't finished with her yet though, as Kuro formed three swords that orbited around her. She guessed that the other girl was trying to prevent her from shooting so she could get in close. Little did she know Shiho had a trick up her sleeve. Quickly as she could, she released the wires from her gun and wrapped around one of swords, swinging then pulling to simultaneously knock the other swords away while bring the one she had caught to her. Once the sword was in reach, she grabbed the handle, had the wires detach from her gun and then lifted it up to parry the blow from Kuro.

"You're going to have to do better than that," While she was blocking Kuro's blades, she lifted her gun and fired point blank at the servant.

Re: Fate/eternal cross

Alibaba let loose a pillar of fire with the intent of knocking Tohka out of the game. He didn't know what she was capable of and that was already an advantage. A sphere of transparent, kaleidoscope energy formed around the Saber of Red. The fire dispersed as it contacted the newly produced shield. It melted away into the air as she plowed straight through it to continue her attack on Saber. The sword Sandalphon ripped down vertically. The blade, if it continued on its path, would cut Alibaba's head, stomach and down to his legs.

I don't want to fight but, I can't just let this happen as it is now.

Tohka thought back to Arika and that little showdown. That look in her eyes. Did Lancer want to fight too? No, that was apparent from the first fight. The only person pushing that fight was Lancer's Master.
----------------

Using her superior agility, Kuro easily maneuvered away from the firing zone. "Alright! Let's see what I can do about that." The Archer of Red performed a backhand spring while throwing her remaining swords straight at Shiho. Two more swords projected.

"Overedge."

Electricity went erratic. The blades covered themselves in jagged spikes. Their length increased more than two times normal. A powerful dash that threw Archer straight at her opponent. It looked more like Kuro was skating along the ground rather than running. A powerful slash with the white jagged blade aimed straight at Shiho's head. If that had been parried, she would pull back, leaving an opening at her side.
----------------

The right-hook tore through Touma's jaw. An audible crack was proof that the hit connected. Berserker flew through the air, skipping along the surface of the Metal Gear like a rock through water. The young boy's left arm hung lifelessly over the side of the metal beast. "Ughhh." Touma moaned in pain. Blood dripped from his mouth down from his disjointed jaw into the body of water below.

Wait, the body of water came to life. It formed into an attack aiming straight for the senator.

Touma looked up to see Ryner at the bridge, performing a spell.

Yeah, that was what he needed.

"Crap." Touma pressed his right hand against the surface of the cold, metallic beast. He had to get up to continue the fight. If this attack didn't hit - he'd still be at risk so... he has to help Ryner.

"Ah...ah." Berserker breathed in and out. He managed to get himself up to a knee though that wasn't enough. He collapsed again, right down onto the cold, wet floor. There was no footing and not strength left but he continued to push until he got to his feet. "I'm... I'm not done yet, Rider!"

Alibaba was definitely surprised that Tohka was able to completely block his attack like that. Seeing that she wasn't going to let up, he immediately put his blade above his head, blocking the attack but not directly. For just a second he'd let her feel like she was able to push through and cut him, but then he maneuvered in such a way that used her own force to throw her behind him, possibly knocking her off balance depending on her swordsmanship.

He immediately put a bit of distance between them, and held his dagger in front of him yet again. Did fire just not work, or was it a matter of persistence? Maybe if he used extreme magic... but he was sure that using something like that in the middle of town, even in a deserted area like this, would be dangerous and would reveal their war to normal people. Ahhh, what should he do? For now, though, he'd try striking back with his blade. He jabbed at her chest, aiming to stab directly into the heart.

Shiho once again parried the swords by shooting them before they reached her. Keeping her eye on Kuro, she noticed her preparing a more powerful weapon and charging for her. The psycho-meter reacted quickly, leaping to the side as she continued to fire on Kuro. She didn't stop there, however. She continued to leap back while firing in order to keep her distance from the girl. She knew she wouldn't stand a chance in close range without a better sword. She needed to find a way to get one of the swords out of Kuro's hands or wait for her to summon something else stronger than the generic sword currently in Shiho's hand.

Re: Fate/eternal cross

Kuro continued advancing straight at Shiho with one thing in mind - defeating her. With that gun constantly forcing her on the defensive, there wasn't much Kuro could do except parry. This increasingly frustrated her.

Tch, alright, let's see how she handles this.

Kuro's blades continued to dance, parrying the bullets Shiho fired.

Shiho caught the first sword using her natural abilities with the wire. The sword that she caught wasn't moving that fast in comparison to what she could do. Why not kick it up? Beat her at her own game. Kuro's foot dug into the earth. Dirt burst up from the ground under Archer's kick. She lifted into the air. This was risking injury but this fight had to end.

The Archer of Black continued to move - which was good enough for her. Immediately Kuro threw the Overedged white sword straight at Shiho. The sword let out a piercing cry as it swooped down to where Shiho was and is headed.

Another cry.

Kuro let go of the second sword. They closed the distance from the sky to the ground in just under a second.

Bullets packed with prana drilled into her unprotected midriff. Kuro grunted as blood spewed from a now open wound.

"Work, dammit." she mumbled in pain.

Kuro formed more swords and started flailing them at the same speed. They were less like boomerangs and more like missiles. Their speed was insane - much higher than the first wave of swords that Kuro dished out toward the rival Servant.
________________________________________________

Tohka's weight threw itself against her. No, wait, it was Alibaba's throw. "Ah!" her heart raced. One wrong move - one wrong move and she was dead. Frantically she recovered. She landed lightly on the ground with her feet. The distance that the Saber of Black placed between them was a split-second of breathing room.

He's coming in close.

Wait a second, Kuro was doing something against the enemy Archer? Tohka raised her sword to block Alibaba's incoming strike. Sandalphon grazed against Alibaba's blade... and he decided to take note from his own maneuver.

She redirected Alibaba's blade to the right by pulling herself backward.

Sandalphon was held in her right hand. By using it to direct Alibaba's blade away, she brought up her left hand which was brimming with purple energy. If her right-arm was a suspended bridge, her left was the roadway below. The trigger had been pulled. The orb of gravitational energy blasted straight forward in an attempt to hit Alibaba's chest.

Stupid! Magic Resistance, Archer's have it, remember!?

Rin thought to herself as she took a few steps back, gradually pulling herself from the battlefield. Rin knew that she had to do something. Oh, right.

Issei was still nearby. Did Rin really want to kill him? No, not really.

1) He should have had nothing to do with this.
2) He's Shirou's best friend.
3) Shirou is a guy that she actually...

Ah.

Rin shook her head in thought. Ghandr shouldn't be enough to kill Issei. It'll give him a pretty bad head cold but it should be enough to have gain in this fight. He IS still a Master. Rin then raised her hand toward Issei - letting a few Ghandr shots blast straight in his direction.

The Senator regarded the incoming pillar of water with as much concern as someone brewing their morning coffee. To someone with his fortitude, even a spirit-crushing attack like that was nothing more than a hindrance. He'd survived worse before. After all, he'd played college ball.

"What, you serious? This kind of bullshit is why I hate kids. You all think the world can keep on spinning if everyone just hugs and makes up. Well I've got one hell of a fucking newsflash for you, kid. Nothing in life is free. You can't get through life thinking anyone's gonna be doing you any favors because they're not. They couldn't give a flying fuck about what you want! What you need! If you want something, you have to take it from someone else. Death is the high price of living. Or in other words, the strong rule, and the weak are purged. Those are the rules of nature itself!"

Re: Fate/eternal cross

Post by Simply David on Wed 27 Nov 2013, 12:16 am

Alibaba's eyes widened at having his own trick turned on him, as it seemed like she was surprised by it. He knew by now how to counter it, but as his blade went to the side she rose her free hand to his chest, and fired off some kind of gravity magic into him. He went flying backwards, landing on his back. He coughed from the pressure of it hitting his chest, but he quickly recovered, standing to his feet.

"That's some trick you have. I guess regular sword dueling isn't going to be enough, huh?" He breathed in deeply, and let it out. Focusing his magoi, he held his dagger forward again. He lunged forward again, striking this time for the face.

-----_-

Issei took notice of how Rin turned her attention on him. Ah, it seems she was attacking him with magic, "I KNEW YOU WERE A WITCH!" He cried out in anger, dodging shots as best he could with the reaction time of someone who trained in martial arts. These shots seemed pretty lethal too, leaving holes in the ground wherever they hit, "Grrr, if she's trying to kill me, then I guess I have no choice...!"

He ran at her. At this point all he could hope to do was incapacitate her. Despite their differences, he still had his teachings to lean on. He absolutely wasn't going to allow himself to kill Rin. Servants... he could accept. They're already dead, according to Archer, and for now he was going to be letting Archer do that dirty work anyway. But he couldn't make archer do all the work, could he? "That's right, THAT SHE DEVIL CAN'T SHOW ME UP!" it seemed as though Issei suddenly had a burst of energy as his speed doubled. He almost came off the ground as he ran at Rin, dodging around the magic bullets best he could.

-_----------

Ryner was starting to get irritated at this guy. Not only was his magic simply bouncing off of him, but he just kept on talking about bullshit, "Who are you to tell him what he's been through, what he knows, what he believes? Why don't you just shut up already!" Ryner called upon some sort of god, and fired off a beam of energy at the Senator. This light would pierce an ordinary person's body, but would probably do crap-nothing to this guy. What Ryner was aiming for, however, was his face. He simply needed to blind him for a second.

"Oi, Berserker, this is over. We're retreating," Without waiting for any agreement, he went over to Touma and proceeded to nonchalantly pick him up, minding his wounds best he could given the circumstances. He had confidence that he could at least outrun the senator if he gave chase, his speed was hard to match.

From the corner of her eye, Shiho noticed that idiot master of hers going for Tohsaka. Dammit, she can't spare any time worrying about him. There was two swords coming for her. She moved, trying to dodge the two swords. But because of the slight distraction caused by her master, she couldn't dodge it completely and it gashed into her thigh, bringing the girl to her knee. She could see even more swords being formed, no this couldn't end here. Even if it did, they had to know the truth of the grail before it was too late.

"Wait!" She yelled in a desperate plea, "The grail! It's not what you think it is! It'll only bring death!"

She lowered her head, ready for the swords to impale her. She hoped beyond hope that someone would believe her. If they didn't, then there was nothing else that could be done and many lives would be lost.

--

X-23 watched the fight between Red Berserker and Black Rider. Rider was such a peculiar servant, fighting for democracy was it? No, that wasn't quite right. Rider's ideals didn't fit what she considered democratic. Then again, maybe democracy was open for interpretation? In any case, Rider was causing a massive disturbance and her Master was quite displeased with it. She didn't like the idea of taking out a teammate but Rider was not someone she was particularly fond of, so it would be okay. He would soon become another name on her kill list. If you could really call it killing since it would only send them back to where they came from. At least, that's what she assumed. She really didn't want to think to much on it. Thinking made you feel guilt. And guilt made you hesitate.

Rules of nature itself?

Alright, that kind of does it. This guy is BATSHIT INSANE. "Rules of nature...?" Touma steadied himself despite his gruling injuries. "That's wrong. Huff." he heaved in a deep breath. He ignored Ryner who told him to retreat. This had to be done and done now. "The rules of nature? Don't act like everything is predetermined!" he clenched his hand. Touma stepped forward, his right hand bleeding from strain. "Who gives you the right to decide that, Rider? You can't get through life without thinking anyone will help you? Nothing in life is free? Yeah, I know that but you know what.. you're sad. That's no way to live. That's not way to live! You're not living your life correctly!" Berserker ran as fast as he could straight at Armstrong.

Wait, that blinding strike.

This was Touma's chance.

Anger seeped in.

Ryner tried to pick him up but Touma powered through, out of his grip. "C-caster, I have to do this... I have to do this NOW!"

Touma ran as fast as he could with Mad Enhancement active.

"I'LL BREAK THAT ILLUSION OF YOURS, RIDERRRR!!" The empowered right hand smashed right into Armstrong's face after the impact of the blinding light.

____________________________________________________

Issei ran as fast as he could straight at Rin. He was dodging bullets too. Well that's probably from the fact he was trained in the art of fighting. But here's something Issei didn't know.

The Tohsaka Magus stopped firing Gandr shots as soon as the monk was close enough. Measuring distance with her mind, Rin pulled her body low to the ground.

Reinforce the body.

Just enough to knock him out.

Her muscles hardened. Magic coursed through her body.

She threw a powerful punch straight at Issei's stomach. If it hit him, he'd just fly back straight into the wooded area of the park. If not, well it was time for kung-fu fighting.

____________________________________________________

Wait, what did Archer of Black just say?

It would bring death?

That was something she already experienced first hand in the past. When the Fourth Holy Grail War blew out. If Archer of Black knew, why didn't she say anything!?

The enemy Saber was already attacking her. What could she do? Oh right, she was already faster. With the addition of Prana Burst... "Sorry!" Tohka apologized before throttling it into the air at the swords that Kuro had thrown straight down at Shiho. Sandalphon slized through the projectile blades like butter. Each was parried or destroyed with each strike.

"SABER! What are you doing!?" Kuro was a little more than pissed. The way she raised her voice made her hunch over as she fell to the ground, grasping her stomach.

"I-I'm sorry!" she apologized to her teammate before looking at Shiho. "You... you knew about 'it', didn't you? Then why did we have to fight...?"

"Bring death...?" Alibaba was left by his opponent to go save who should have been her enemy, because of what she had said. He had wanted to help Shiho but he thought he was stuck.

He made his way over to Shiho, so he could stand next to her. He wasn't putting away his blade, but he did put it to his side. If they could avoid fighting, while it wouldn't get him his wish... he couldn't deny that he didn't want to kill anyone.

"Archer, what do you mean?" he was standing next to her now, slightly in front of her to protect her from further attacks in case the Archer of Red was still hostile.

--

Issei's face showed shock. What his servant said caught his ear, so he lost focus for just a second and had allowed himself to be struck by one solid punch from Tohsaka. How... could she be this strong? He had no idea that she could pack such a punch...

He found himself back at square one, far from Tohsaka, and his body in pain. Well... damn.

--

Ryner's face betrayed his feelings, "Your determination..." Ryner looked at his own hands for a second. Why was he here? Was he not ready to show this level of determination for the sake of others? For the sake of his allies, or even those ordinary people on the street. There were surely children down there... "Dammit," He turned back to Touma, just in time to see his fist collide with the enemy servant.

What was he doing in this anyway? Just powering up Berserker, that's his job, "Fine, if that's what you want... THEN HERE WE GO!" He held his right arm with his left, and the shape of a wolf spirit sprinted through the air towards Berserker. His whole body would find itself doubly invigorated, ready to back up that crazy arm of his.

Shiho struggled to stand up, pain shooting through her leg. She gritted her teeth, doing one final push to rise. The pain was enough to make her cry out but she managed to suppress to a low kiss. Finally standing, she gave Alibaba and Tohka grateful glances before continuing on with what needed to be said, "It might be a little hard to explain. I'm not as completely enlightened on it as I liked to be. Thought I do have a clear picture of what's going on."

Shiho took a deep breath, preparing for what she was about to say next, "The grail is corrupted. There's something... wrong with it. If you were to use it, then it would cause countless deaths. I'm not even sure you'd get a wish out of it."

"I wasn't..." She sighed, "No, I thought you couldn't be trusted. If I got you out of the way, then it would be one less person after that grail."

Tohka started to think. Shiho must have just realized what the Grail was. Probably from this place because... "This is the place that was covered." Tohka looked around at the dead trees. The feeling of death was just as strong as it was then. "This is where the last battle of the last Grail War was held." The Saber of Red gripped her sword as tightly as she could.

The Archer of Red narrowed her eyes. The grail was corrupted? Wow, same shit as back home. Wonderful. "This one's corrupted too? Well dammit." Ilya's doppleganger stumbled on over toward Alibaba, Tohka and Shiho.
____________________________________

While all of this was going on, Rin had found herself back over on the main battlefield - half-expecting for a dead Archer of Black to be sprawled out on the grassy ground. "Eh?" Let's just say Rin's expectations weren't met.

Did Archer just say the grail was corrupted? Wait, no, she said 'this Grail'.

Kuro was already strange because she looked exactly like Ilya. Now there was another grail? "Archer, what do you mean by that exactly?"

Archer just clammed up while looking off to the side.

"Archer." Rin narrowed her eyes to daggers.

There was silence.

Alibaba was getting more confused, "Why? Have we been lied to?" He has to admit that a magic wish granting machine had sounded odd from the start, but the fact he was here at all had been enough to convince him, "Who did this? Was it our masters?" he looked at Rin, not really intending to look accusing but it probably couldn't be helped after what he said. He looked back to Shiho to try and cover that up. Rin looked as if she didn't know anything either.

Issei finally caught his breath, and got himself up off the ground. He realized that the fighting seems to have stopped, and let out a deep breath. Wait, but neither side seems to have won. Oh right, Archer had said something about the grail being evil. Well that was no surprise to him. Nothing good can come from magic, he figured. It's just like women. Deceitful.

In any case he made his way over to the rest of the group, hoping to hear what else she had to say. He was also visibly wincing from the pain in his gut but he was too proud to let himself tend to it.

Shiho shook her head at all the questions Alibaba were giving her, "No, I don't think the masters know. At least, a majority is probably unaware. I would have read it from one of them sooner. I... don't know how it became corrupted, I just know that it is, but from the sound of it, maybe my fellow Archer can enlighten us on the details."

At this, she looked expectantly at Kuro. While she waited for the other archer to start giving some answers, Shiho moved closer to her master, limping slightly from her wound. She gave him a once over, noting his disheveled state. "Your glasses are crooked," She remarked in a low whisper, a smirk tugging at the corner of her mouth.

Kuro cringed because she was being pressured physically by the wound and emotionally by the eyes of her peers. "Alright, listen up." she said that loud enough so that everyone could hear. "I'm from a similar world to this one. A world where the true Holy Grail War never took place." Kuro looked at Rin and Tohka. "I mean, you two didn't find it strange that I looked exactly like Ilya?"

"I knew it was odd, but..." Rin started to mumble.

"Um." Tohka scratched the back of her head, blushing. "I-I mean I thought it was strange!" her defense instincts kicked in.

"Hah," Kuro smirked, "Anyway, let's get down to it. There's another Rin in my world, a Luvia, an Ilya, a Bazett. You're all there. Since the Holy Grail War back then never happened, the vessel of the Grail was still in tact. The other Ilya, me, and everyone else ended up doing battle against that vessel. It was ... PROBABLY the hardest thing I ever had to do in my short-life." Kuro sighed. "But yeah, since this Grail War is completely different, I was going to wait til my suspicious were confirmed." the Archer of Red looked to Tohka. "But it seems like there's someone more familiar with the problem at hand." Kuro shifted the topic of conversation to Tohka.

"That's right," Rin pulled herself into the conversation. "You were acting strangly around Sakura, weren't you, Saber?"

Tohka locked up.

Memories swarmed back.

This place was already terrible enough with the past constantly haunting her. Now that the fighting had come to a close, the feeling returned. She tightly gripped the sword in her hand while organizing her thoughts. "Yes... I was in the war but not as Saber but as a Berserker." Now it was time for the clincher. "Kariya Matou was my Master."

If someone were to look at Rin, there would be no difference. It was still the same placid expression she wore all this time. Almost as if she was feigning interest in the entire thing.

"She was Sakura's uncle. I knew his pain and his wishes so it was-" tears started to well up. "Hard seeing the future that he fought to prevent... happen to a girl like that." she sniffled like a child. Tohka had her fair share of pain. The pain of never being held by someone. The pain of loneliness and never being understood, just deemed a monster instead. That was nothing compared to the suffering that Sakura, a child, had to experience for the rest of her days.

Alibaba frowned. If one were to look at him you'd easily tell he was deep in thought.

With the Holy Grail corrupted, he now knew that there was no way he'd get his wish. If he had to admit it though, he knew deep down that a magic wish granting machine was too good to be true anyway. Balbadd... will have to find some way to take care of itself.

But that wasn't the only thing on his mind. He wanted to know what was happening to Sakura that he didn't know about. What could she have been hiding from him by saying her family doesn't know about the war? Something was very wrong here, "Saber, what's been happening to Sakura? She's my master, I should be allowed to know right?" he needed to find out more about her, and maybe it would lead to finding a way to fix this grail war situation as well.

Issei, on the other hand, was visibly uncomfortable. He adjusted his glasses and cleared his throat at Shiho's comment, "Ahem, uh, thanks..." he didn't really know what to add to this. He felt like he should be worried about what was being said about Sakura as well, as student body president, but he knew this was beyond anything he should be interfering with. This whole war was beyond him to begin with.

--

In the shadows of a tree in the park, there was a woman in a suit. She let out a small sigh, realizing that the fighting would not continue. Well, her side had been winning so this wasn't exactly a good thing for her. On the other hand, considering what all these servants were suddenly coming out and saying, it probably was a good thing. There was a small thing that kind of bugged her though. There was another Bazett... another HER... in another world, where this servant came from. And in that world they fought over a Grail too... sort of. She needed to keep on her toes from this point forward, this Grail War is going to get rough.

Shiho nodded as she listened closely to both servants. She had nothing further to interject into the conversation. She would need to do further investigation to get more information first. However, the mention of Sakura did catch her attention. So the Red Saber was once a servant of the Matou family, "There really is going on in that household? I assumed as much. That sleezy Shinji Matou gives me such chills. I don't like it when others give me chills. I'd much rather be the one causing fear and disconcertion."

The girl glanced at Issei. Maybe she should feel grateful that she gained him as a master instead of someone else. Mutual disgust in eachothers body's was far more preferable than some unwilling molestations.

After Alibaba had left to save Archer, Sakura had lingered for a moment before deciding to go on home on her own. She trusted him to handle himself and there was honestly nothing she'd be able to do to help. She'd just be in the way. It didn't take her long to reach the desolate place she called a home.

Closing the door behind her, she crossed her arms over her chest ad began to walk through halls. The house emitted such strong, dark emotions. Just entering it was enough to rip the joy right out of her. Part of her wished she could have Alibaba with her, at least as a small form of comfort even though there was really nothing he could do to help her. It would only cause him to look at her differently. She really didn't want that.

Armstrong reeled. How? How was this little shit hurting him? The senator spat blood, wiping the shimmering smear off his face. "I'm done fooling around. Time to end this."

Armstrong leapt forward. His fingers curled into a mighty fist, an immovable object moving with the momentum of an unstoppable force. One way or another, this was going to end. Fuck the speeches. History would decide who was right and who was wrong. He just wanted him dead.

Re: Fate/eternal cross

The impact of Rider's punch resounded through the night.

Snap.

Something broke. A bone, perhaps? Either way, Touma felt immense pain. Like his entire body was burning. His mind screamed 'STOP, RETREAT' but Touma's body had different plans. "Haaaaaaah!" he threw out another powerful punch. Armstrong pulled back as it hit the Senator square in the face.

Both boy and man grunted as they exchanged punches.

Cross-counter.

Body blows.

Waist punches.

Haymakers.

Both continued the dance of fisticuffs. Blood rested on the ground after each successful hit. "Hah... hah." Touma took in a deep breath.

The Senator smashed him in the face again, "Come on, son!" he bellowed as he tossed Berserker onto the top of the downed Metal Gear Exelsus.

"AGghhhh." Touma struggled to stand but he managed it with his remaining strength. The teenage boy looked at the veiny, humanoid monstrosity that was his opponent.

Like before, Armstrong threw himself forward to Touma. This time, however, Touma didn't throw himself forward. Instead he waited for that right moment-

1 second.

Armstrong halfway closed the gap between himself and Touma.

2 seconds.

Armstrong was just an inch away-

"RIDERRRRRRRRRRRRR!" Touma screamed at the top of his lungs.

His right hand dug itself into Armstrong's face. The combined power of Armstrong's jump, Touma's powerful right hook and Mad Enhancement did what shouldn't be done. Rider went spiraling over the side of the mechanical monstrosity and into the waters of the Fuyuki River. That should do it, right? For now, anyway.

"A...gh." afterward, Touma fell to the ground from exhaustion.

"SENATOR!" Samuel cried as he looked over the side of the embankment. "Get up here! By the power of the Command Seal I-" something was amiss. It felt as though something was watching him. "What?" he turned around to see...

Rin went silent for a second. Her sister was a Master in the Grail War? Of course, what luck.

"Sakura..." Tohka recalled the image of the basement, the countless crest worms that violated every 'hole' in Sakura. "Sakura was violated by Crest Worms." the hideous name of those disgusting insects makes Tohka want to vomit. "From what I'm able to tell..." she wipes the tears away from her face. "It's been going on for years since Kariya wasn't able to save her." It was 'training', said Zouken. It was 'necessary' to preserve the Matou lineage. No one should ever have to go through something as ridiculous as that.

When Tohka spoke up... that means she knew what happened in the Matou household. The hell that her kid sister had to go through just for the sake of the Tohsaka family.

'Something' opened up inside. Something unwelcome, something that caused her stone cold face to falter for that single instant. "I see." she put a hand to her chin while pondering on what course of action to take now that she was sure the Grail had been corrupted. Anything to get her mind off of the dark past of the Tohsaka and Matou family.

Kuro was now completely lost in the conversation since she didn't have much of a relation to this 'Sakura' person. "So what's the plan now?" Kuro said as she looked to everyone in the circle.

Alibaba was having trouble understanding the situation. Was Sakura in trouble in her own home? Should he do something about it? The other Archer asked what the plan to do right now was, and he didn't really have an answer to that at all. He looked at the people on his team, Archer and her master, and then to the other side. There wasn't anything to be gained from standing around here at least.

"Are we going to try and call a truce for both teams? Will your team agree to that?" Alibaba wasn't even sure everyone on his team would agree, so he doubted the other side would be easy to convince.

Issei looked over at Shiho, noticing her glance at him. He adjusted his glasses and gave her a questioning look, as if asking why she was looking at him like that. But then he turned towards the rest of the group, "I will say this now: I never wanted to be a part of this war. I don't believe in wishes being granted for free, and I don't believe in killing to get what you want. If your side agrees to a truce, then I will be happy to agree as well," he looked at Shiho, wondering if she'd fight him on this one too, "The sooner we get rid of this 'corrupted' grail, the better off our town will be, I think,"

------

Ryner couldn't interrupt this fight any more. There was no way that this was a fight he needed to join in on any more. Touma would either win, or he'd lose and Ryner could find a way to beat Rider himself. In the end though, Touma sent him flying off into the water.

Ryner sighed and smiled. Well, that's that, for now. We should get out of here, Ryner thought, "Hey, Berserker. Can you still walk?" They were still on top of the mecha, so it'd be smart to get off quickly before it falls or something.

Shiho nodded in agreement with Alibaba and her Master. Possibly the only time she would ever agree with the man, "For now, let's just call a truce between the six of us. Then we can try talking to our teammates. Not about the truce of course, we must find out their stance on the corrupted grail and if they want to continue pursuing the wish or help destroy it."

She shifted on her leg, wincing at the pain that shot up it, "I think we should take our leave. Us Archers at least need to go lick our wounds. Let's meet here again tomorrow and possibly bring along anyone willing to join us."

---

X-23 moved out of the shadows into Samuel's view. She moved without a single word, swiftly unsheathing a single claw and just as quickly, piercing it into the man's jugular.

Another name to add to her kill list.

Retracting the blade, she stepped back and turned. She didn't need to stick around to know that he was a dead man, so she left to return to her master's home.

Like that, the man's life had ended.

Samuel was dead.

Re: Fate/eternal cross

Post by Simply David on Sun 02 Mar 2014, 8:44 pm

The next day, the Emiya household was quite the same as it has been for a couple of days now. There was a rowdy breakfast, Shirou going to the market to get lunch and dinner products, and then a rowdy lunch as well. After lunch a few people scattered and a few people stuck around.

Bazett in particular was looking for Rin. There was an important topic that had yet to be broached by her or any of the servants that had been present the night before for the agreement.

"Tohsaka," She approached the room Rin had been staying in, and knocked on it. This ensured the two of them would be alone, at least, "I need to speak with you about last night," she said after Rin opened the door. She didn't intend on beating around the bush about this one. She'd give Tohsaka a second to respond but then it was right to the point.

--

Shirou was currently sitting in the living room, the TV on but he wasn't watching it. He was more trying to think what he should do with the rest of the war at this point. His servant, Saber, had gone out the night before without him knowing and when she came back they didn't seem to have defeated anyone. He wanted to be more involved, but at the same time he didn't want to kill anyone. What kind of contradiction was that?

While he was busy sulking, Ilya was pouting over her servant, "I can't believe you let yourself get so beat up like that!" she was shocked and scared when she saw how hurt Touma had been. Even though he could end up healing, it had been so bad that he wasn't healed yet, "You shouldn't go into a fight like that, what if I need you?" she was being selfish but she couldn't help it. She didn't like seeing him all beat up like this.

Rin opened the door with a serious look on her face. "What's wrong?" she said in a low voice. There are a lot of things that Bazett would want to talk about. What happened the previous night, the revelation that the Holy Grail is corrupt. What would be on her mind at the moment?
______________________________________________

The powerful Saber Class Servant. What was she doing this fine morning? After the intense fight the night before, the only thing that was on her mind was Sakura, the past and Matou Kariya's death. This spurred her on TO... become more docile, quiet in the morning. The lively girl that would always demand food sat there at the dining room table with her eyes focused on its surface. If anyone were to walk by, touch her shoulder, she'd like respond in a startle.

Touma smiled awkwardly at Ilya as he leaned against the wall. "It wasn't like I got into the fight on purpose. It was a surprise attack." he sighed. It was just HIS luck to be the target of an ambush. It was so out of nowhere. A gigantic mecha monstrosity blasting out of the harbor just to attack him. If there was such a thing as overkill, that was certainly it. "But I won, right? Isn't that what matters...?" he baited for Ilya to find some sort of silverlining in this situation. He was VERY close to dying if Caster hadn't assisted him when he did. "But..." he looked up at the ceiling.

Back home, he was never the type to kill another. He's never done it before. He would always do his best to help his enemies, reform them, become friends. But right now it feels strange. For a fact he knows that he didn't kill Rider. He was able to withstand his attacks before hand, but now? That one well placed hit was enough to send him into the harbor. That COULDN'T have killed him. Then on top of that there was the presence of another Servant he felt just before blacking out. "There had to be another Servant that offed that Samuel guy." he said as he looked toward the albino Master.

Re: Fate/eternal cross

Despite it only being late in the afternoon, the two rowdier members of Team Red had spent the entire day having fun at a local stripping establishment. Who would have thought Fuyuki city would even have one. Leave it to Ingrid to be the one to actually find a place like that in the city. It was like a moth to a flame known as trashy corners of the metropolitan area.

The blonde stumbled a bit as she exited the club, cackling madly at every little thing as she did so. It was safe to say she was more than a little tipsy. She leaned back, using her partner in crime and servant as a crutch for her intoxicated fumbling, "Heyyyyyyy, Deady, have you ever seen tits that great before? Fuck, it was like a goddamn oasis of tantalizing milk sacks. It was -HIC- a buffet of choice ass cept you ate with your eyes and not your mouth. Man, did my eyes get so full. So. Fuck-HIC-ing. Full."

It was at that moment, her stomach decided to let known it's need for food.

"Woah, speaking of full, lets find some shit to stuff down our throats," She then proceeded to drunkenly drag her Servant only to pause a minute later when she realized something, "Er... not literal shit, that's fucking sick."

Unbeknownst to her, another servant was lazily and absent mindedly walking down the street with his Master.

Deadpool staggered out of the strip club; drunk off his ass.

"Take my down to the very nice city where the boobs are big and the costumes are skimpy... I dunno the rest!" he said.

At the mention of food, he grinned. There would have to be chimichangas this time! And also the chance of running into the black team. It didn't seem likely; but he had a feeling that it was going to happen.

"Yeah! Lets eat some not-literal stuff! And then we should totally do something plot important like...uh...fight stuff!" he said. "Lets do this before my buzz wears o...too late,"

Sometimes he really hated that healing factor of his.

Re: Fate/eternal cross

Post by Simply David on Sat 08 Mar 2014, 3:07 pm

Bazett had a very serious expression on her face. Well, it wasn't particularly more serious than how she usually looked, "I was there, and overheard the conversation between the two teams, though I suspect you may have noticed. This truce you called, due to the holy grail being corrupt... do you really think that both sides will so easily agree?" Bazett was, herself, upset that the holy grail was corrupted. Seeing as her job was mainly to investigate, however, she was much more willing to believe it to be some farce. She had steadied herself for such a possibility to begin with.

For now, she wanted to know exactly what Rin was looking to try. There was a chance, after all, that she hadn't actually given up on it herself yet. More importantly, if she had, how did she expect to convince a minimum of 28 people to give up on seeking an easy answer to their greatest wishes?

----

Illya's face was all seriousness, but in that way that a little girl would try to look serious rather than her usual blank seriousness, "Surprise attacks from a non assassin shouldn't be so effective... you were lucky Caster showed up though!" she was pretty sure she'd keep going, but then he mentioned that someone else killed Rider's master, "Wait, really?" Was the Assassin of Red not as much of an idiot as she thought? Was he even available for killing someone at that time? "That's ..."

Illya sighed, confusion overtaking anger for a moment, but that caused her to notice Saber again. Why wasn't Shirou trying to talk to her, when she'd been so odd all day? "Oi, Onii-Chan, take care of your own servant, ok?" she prodded Shirou in the shoulder with her finger, hard, before turning back to Berserker.

Shirou flinched from the finger poke, "Ow, what?" He looked at Tohka. Ah, that's right. Today being a bit quieter than the day before hadn't been only because of the absence of Ingrid and Assassin (Though there was still quite a bit of fuss), "Ah..."

Shirou walked up to Tohka, though he wasn't sure what he should say. What might have been bothering her? He guessed he could just ask, "Hey, Saber... are you alright?" he felt really awkward just walking up to her like this though, he was really bad at asking people how they felt.

----

In the city, Shinji had been walking around with his servant. Shinji figured that, if they were going to be missing school for this war they might as well have some fun, so he was trying to find something to do. The problem was, all of his 'girlfriends' were at school and his servant was... well, not particularly fun. As far as he was concerned, he seemed pretty useless.

"I don't know what the fuck kind of purpose a berserker as small as you serves..." despite him saying as much, said servant was actually really tall. Far taller than him in fact, "Hey, what the...?" He saw a man in a weird cosplay and a young girl with him, and the girl was acting incredibly drunk. Neither of these seemed very normal in the town of Fuyuki. Shinji half debated with himself on going the other way to avoid the weirdos.

Re: Fate/eternal cross

The corruption of the Holy Grail. The true purpose was to recreate the Third Sorcery or, rather, True Magus which was a secret of a secret kept within the bowels of the Assosciation. That was the original purpose of the Holy Grail, wasn't it? To make a way to the root, to utilize the power of True Magic? How could it become corrupted? That's another mystery.

The entire point of winning the war was to claim the Grail for herself as the new head of the Tohsaka family. But what of it now? What's her goal now that it's apparently tainted? "I'm not sure what's going to come of it." Rin said while looking Bazett in the eye, "But I have a feeling it's not going to be this easy. After all, if Sakura is a Master..." she now laments on the fact that her sister is part of this fiasco. She immediately rights herself to continue her talk with her fellow teammate. "We can expect to be up against Zouken Matou. That's already bad news." Yes, Zouken Matou. Sakura's 'grandfather'. This is really going to be fun. "For now we should just be on our toes. That's all I can say."

The fire that spread through out the landscape.

The screams of the dreaded, of the dying.

Tohka stared right at the table lamenting the lives lost, lamenting the fact that she perished in that burning inferno with the man that she called 'Master', with the man that she suffered along side. Spiral chaos that started at the reddened horizon and expanded into the smog covered sky. Wasn't there more to this nightmare? Yes, there definitely was.

A struggling man wielding a sheath. He placed it into a boy that lie dying there in the midst of the dead city. Who was he? Who was that man? That's when the memories stop.

Next thing she knew, she had been summoned.

"This story was never meant to have a happy ending."

Wait.
There was more to the memory. There was a single voice with reddened words.

"Huh?" the girl looked up at Shirou as he communicated with her. "N-nothing, Shirou." She wasn't very good at hiding her sadness since she was silent most of the day. "Nothing, hahaha." she laughed nervously to help cover this fact up.

"Yeah, I'm telling the truth. No reason for me to lie." Touma said as he looked over to Shirou trying to talk to Tohka.
