War of Us - A virtual Reality Role play - signups - workingsubtitle

Two of the admins of a particular website were talking one day and realized they had the technology to create a virtual reality, and so they began their work.

With failsafes installed that free you of the system if you die and special customization options built into the system, the project was ready to play! They made it possible for one to simply jump in through the website they had established. With this, they hoped to have an adventure like nothing they've journeyed before!

The goals will be simple: Villians are added to the system by each of the players, and these villians will work independently or in a group, depending on their own individual personalities. The players will be given missions relevant to slowing or stopping the villains' plans, from which each player (And likely, each non-player 'hero') will choose which missions to go on. Missions will have a limit of how many people can go on that particular mission, so people will have to team up appropriately.

...Ok so I don't have all the details worked out perfectly, but hey, that just leaves room for suggestions.

Self insert RP, yes I know, but hey, it's been popular twice in a row here! And we aren't killing each other for no reason this time, nor are we turning into fluffy animals (Though I was under the impression people would like that)

Characters added to the "Program" by the Players are controlled by the RPers, but in-game work as "Independent AI" and therefore the players have no control or knowledge of their actions. These characters don't know that they're programs and will act as if they are really the characters they're programmed to be.

There are also various glitches that can be applied to the system for fun, drama, or plot, depending on RPer decisions.

(Don't feel the absolute NEED to make a self insert, by the way. If it isn't your thing and you don't mind others doing it, just join as someone else. Playground RP, this is)

SO! Power rules (Apologies for the length):

1) Power choices are fairly simple here, you can choose to take on the powers of a canon character (With restrictions placed sometimes, see other rules) and either a second character's powers or you can take on a custom power or two of your choice to work with that canon character's abilities. Or instead of taking anything from a canon source, you can pick up as many as five custom powers of your choosing.

2) You can go further than what is restricted by other rules by picking lesser or weaker abilities, and I may ask you to limit yourself if you are too powerful. As stated, this Rp will have heavy amounts of combat so I have to keep things balanced.

3) Speed abilities will be balanced out in some cases. If "Speed" isn't their actual "Power" (Like the Flash for example), then they may be slowed down to match people from other series. Some characters known for being faster than others in their series may get to keep that aspect here. If this comes up in your character I'll point it out, and try to explain directly to you, since it'd be impossible to cover every single example.

4) Speed beyond a certain point combined with other powers may not be allowed, depending on case.

5) Physical strength beyond that of normal humans is it's own super power, keep this in mind when customizing.

6) Permanent Power Copying cannot be used as a custom power in addition to a canon character's powers. (This is the only limitation in place for this power, as of this moment. Depending on case by case, may have to add more. This does not restrict you using a canon with power copying plus your own custom, necessarily.)

7) BE REASONABLE! I don't think I'll have to actually change anyone's powers here, unless the speed issue comes up, and I hope I'm right. Though I'll let you know if you went too low (if I notice).

Name: Flame "Flam" Hazel

Appearance: Normally looks like this.
But can become this.

Gender: Female by default, but can become male

Powers: Typical for her name, Flame has alot of fire based powers. This usually takes the form of infusing items and weapons with the fire element causing them to have flaming and burning properties. Which is why she carries around broad sword with her everywhere. She also can cause her own body heat to skyrocket unconsciously when angered making her impossible to touch without getting burned. While she doesn't have much control over it, she can even use a fire known as holy fire which can exorcise evil.

While the AI is in control, her powers change drastically. Now his powers are more psychic in nature. He becomes able to make weapons and items out of psychic energy, such as a sword and shield. He can also create a mind link between him and others making a sort mental communication system. Though he cannot read minds outside of the mind link and even then it's only the thoughts the person is allowing to be transferred. While very weak and uncontrollable, he can project his thoughts into reality. Because of his little control, it's more like a hologram or illusion. If he ever gained more control it could possibly take a more physical form, but that is not gonna happen unless he's had many, many years of training.

Personality: Pretty laid back and lazy most of the time, she does have a bit of a temper and when triggered you better watch out. She's friendly and nice most of the time, but she can be pretty mean when you've done something she doesn't agree with. She's also stubborn to a fault and trying to get her to change her mind about anything is near impossible, it's best to distract her with something else if that's the case.

Meanwhile, the AI is by far, alot more agreeable. He's a sweet little boy who looks up to his elders and sometimes hangs on their every word. He'll sometimes agree too easily to their suggestions in order to please them. He dreams of being a great hero and can sometimes act recklessly and join in the fighting unless told otherwise.

Misc.: Because of a glitch that happened while creating the game, Flame's avatar gets changed and taken over by an AI when certain things trigger it. It's hard to tell what exactly triggers it since it seems to happen randomly and never at the same points in the game.

Brief summary of abilities: Black Battler can encase his fists and feet in a black sort of energy similar to Battler's blue truth. He can also summon an evil Kyrie and Rudolf who will shoot and kill without mercy. Finally, he is able to fire a beam of black energy that varies in size depending on how much power he puts behind it.

Appearance: Mostly looks like this, but must transform into this (imagine they look about ten) in order to use any powers.

Powers:

• Disarmament Magic: Takes a while to charge beyond an avoidable bolt, but she can eventually charge it to 'disarmament AoE spell'. Get hit, you'll be lucky to keep your underwear. At least it's all scattered around your surroundings.
  
• Transformation Magic--Become Loli: Applies to herself, to get at the rest, but she can also charge it like the above.
  
• Transformation Magic--Become Minigirl: Same as the above. Good for dodging purposes. Takes a bit longer to charge, though.

• Peerless Weapon Mastery: Anything Rain views as a weapon may be wielded as one, perfectly, and also becomes a magical weapon if it isn't already--so even a twig is pretty dangerous, though a sword is still much more lethal. This somewhat compensates for being about four foot tall whenever she's wielding anything.

Personality: Probably not entirely sane, she's irritable and will use her spells as vengeance on anyone that bothers her too much, friend or foe. At least Rain's generally friendly at first...

Personality:
Quiet guy that loves to snark in the background, make stupid suggestions, and becomes a raging fanboy when certain things are mentioned. Or an unlike-able, obnoxious hater with certain other things.

Misc.: Summoned OC's are known to express their displeasure at being his creations, and make sure any orders given are twisted in a way to annoy the utter hell out of him whenever possible.
Also, someone with Makoto-level powers would be dismissed before they could even finish their summon animation, what with them being a bit on the overly-powerful side.

Name: White Pulse

Powers: To create monsters no larger nor stronger than elephant from drawings and summon blue ethereal short sword, giving shock with each strike which connects to targets skin. The drawings do not limit to monsters , but can act as attacks also, applying a drawing to own clothe, for example, draw a wing to shoulder for flight purpose which will last 1 minute before vanishing.

Personality: Bit timid but eager artist who get's agitated easily when provoked and always accepts commissions except on certain cases. Fears of being disliked by others and is not so confident on himself sometimes but keeps cheerful side up. Friendly and helpful.

Misc.: Seems to get teased by others very often.

Name: Tachi

Powers: The skills available to Hayda, or phrased differently, the skills of a Paragon (or the ones that can be made to make a degree of sense at least); shouts and songs infused with power to strengthen Tachi and his allies and weaken his enemies, impressive spear throwing skills, some with seemingly impossible effects (one of them randomly bursts into flames, another turns into a lightning bolt and yet another glows with holy energies) and the ability to have his spear teleport back into his hand after it's thrown. Embarrassingly, whenever he enters combat, Tachi's clothes seem to change into the armour of a paragon.

In addition, he has Inverse, which lets him invert things like momentum, determination and sex. That said, he needs something to invert, so walking slowly or not being entirely interested in killing him kinda completely screw this power over. Also, there seems to be a cooldown time of several seconds between each use.

Personality: How to describe this..? Can I just say it's me and leave it at that? No? Damn. Well, ocassionally snarky, sometimes comes up with weird ideas, generally a nice guy though.

Appearance: With brown hair, blue eyes, and, um.. pretty pale... usually reds and blues for clothes colors so yeah, eh-heh.

Gender: Female

Powers: Able to draw forth Gray Judgement, a massive eight-foot-long two-handed sword from this symbol(which she can cause to appear on the ground or in mid-air). Gray Judgement is light in Anno's hands, and does not appear "real" to observers, its unnatural nature displayed by its strange appearance. Anno is very fast and light on her feet. She can also use her magic circle to produce other items, like knives or brooms. She can even fire knives from it. Aside from this, she is unskilled in magic.

Personality: Shy and somewhat reclusive, Anno spends most of her time reading or on the computer. She is a fan of action and slice of life works, as well as comedies. She is also a fan of yuri. She likes cute things a great deal and is very, very much against seeing children hurt for any reason.

>> Used 733T H4XX0R 5K1775 to program a Final Smash into the game wherein he uppercuts someone into the Moon and then rides the planet Phaaze into the target's crater at a high velocity. However, he forgot to program Smash Balls into the game, so it's pointless.

Personality: Phazon could be described as being too lazy to describe his personality to people who talk to him daily.

She is able to sprout cybernetic wing-like jets from her back allowing her to briefly fly at great speed during battles, and can also sprout chainsaws from her arms. Also, she has been recently learning to do a rocket punch, the only problem is getting her fist back after it is fired.

Powers: (Note: Yes, all these abilities are very similar, if not straight ripoffs, to Soul Eater abilities)

• Soul Force: The ability to control one's "Soul" so well that David can shoot it into another person with an attack. What this basically does is it takes his only-slightly-better-than-you'd-expect-when-looking-at-him punch, and adds a great deal of damage to it that damages the target directly. Can also do this type of damage with a palm thrust, and a much weaker version of it can be done through a kick.
  
• Soul Resonance: With David's "soul" being so flexible, he is able to resonate souls with anyone around him. By doing this, he can improve the power of any individual that's connected to him. However, David can only do this with one target since doing it with more would require THEY resonate with each other. This resonance also powers him up.
  
• Demon Weapon: Allows David to turn a person he's in physical contact with into a weapon, should they comply. The weapon they turn into is entirely based on them and their personality. The weapon has a sort of "Power" related to their own powers, usually, and also assuming they have powers. They can still talk in this form (no need for a mouth). They can also change back whenever they want. This does, however, require that David resonates his soul with them.
  
• "Lets go SOUL RESONANCE!": Requires a sort of closer connection to the person David turned into a weapon. What this is, quite simply, is a "Super Form" for Demon Weapon, which is also somewhat draining on energy and is more difficult to use. Usually comes in the form of a large blast of some sort.
  
• The power to turn anything pink with a touch. A bright hot pink. Stops being pink when not being touched. Has used this on his black hair for so long it's become permanent. While it may seem useless in battle....... nah surely it's useless in battle.
  

Personality: FABULOUS! Because he feels like it, he often performs grand gestures and makes bold moves, showing off as opposed to doing things intelligently. Not to say he isn't intelligent, as he often thinks his actions through before performing them. It's just that he always seems to make room for being... grand!

Misc.: I can't believe how easy it was to pick my start out abilities once I remembered Rokushiki and also my avatar. XP

Name: Emotive "Emo" Gothika

Appearance: Short black hair, red eyes, lightly tanned skin, five-four in height, average body size, wears a black and red short sleeve hoodie, red jeans, black shoes, and thick-rimmed glasses with little lights on them that can be switched on and off. [Picture pending]

Gender: Female

Powers:
> Can manipulate shadows; make them into tangible "tentacles" and extend them to twenty feet. Not weakened by light, but can be cut, sliced through, and affected by the elements.
> Has the uncanny ability to force guys to have the strange impulse to make out with the nearest hot guy. Can only be used once a day per male (i.e. If the ability has been used on Male1, it can not be used on him in the next 24 hours, but can still be used on Male2, who hasn't experienced it yet) and only with eye contact.
> Has a scythe that can throw out dark energy (ala Tensa Zangetsu's Gestuga Tenshou).
> Has an arsenal of specially bred Devil's Snare seeds, which grow rapidly once they touch the ground and instantly try to wrap around the nearest living thing. Can only be destroyed by fire.
> Has an Aphrodisiac Kiss and it's exactly what it says on the tin.

Personality: Lazy, a little random, loves cute gothic/emo things, a yaoi fangirl, a fangirl in general, gets annoyed easily, a little violent, but still quite friendly once you get to know her.

Misc.: Never get between her and yaoi or she will rage.

Powers: -She can control the weather to a point. She can throw tornadoes/send them a distance of thirty feet maximum away from herself. She can also create small hurricanes with lightning.
-She can read minds, but only one at a time and for five minutes at most.
-She has a bazooka (named Happy Bazooka) that fires missiles.

Personality: Coffee is life to her. Without at least one cup of coffee, expect her to be dazed, unresponsive, or prone to sudden bursts of incoherent muttering about someone who screwed her over in her most recent dream. She has been known to misinterpret entire situations and irrationally scream like a wild turkey. If she is in a silent space, she may suddenly burst out into unexplainable laughter, only to quiet down a few seconds later. 50% of her thought processes end in confusion.
If she doesn't have a reason to be angry with you, she'll avoid starting or getting involved in any arguments or conflicts with you. Ignoring all of those issues, she's usually very quiet, but, if you do end up talking to her to the point that you exchange more than ten sentences on a daily basis or she comes up with a stupid nickname for you, you'd find out that she never shuts up and can go on forever about topics you could really care less about.
She's also easily distracted.

• Martial Arts: A master, so long as she doesn't wear clothes and start throwing her knowledge regarding range of motion. She's at the peak of human fitness as a result.
  
• Magical Imbuing: Two buffs at once, max. She can choose between doubled speed, strength, fire, ice, electricity, and overkill but fun concussive force.
  
• Effectively Clothed: Those charms? They keep her warm and dry. Even in a blizzard, Zero is quite cosy.

Personality: Has no shame. Likes girls. Finds men less interesting, except when they're 'playing' with each other.

Bio: Totally has a brother called Stay-Night Extra.

Personality: Not actually all that malovent towards humanity. However, he really wishes they'd stop putting those damned buildings in his way, and then getting pissed when he smashes them.

Brief summary of abilities: (Links to the wiki on each item will be added) In addition to Link's swordsmanship skills and general abilities with anything else, he also has a shadowy imitation of the following items: Double Clawshot, Gale Boomerang, a Bow, and various bombs.

His sword causes the opponent to feel fear if it lands a blow, and otherwise bears none of the abilities of the Master Sword, despite having the same shape and lenght (And it appears as a black shadow on the air).

His shield reflects no light, rendering it perfect black, but will show an image of something that the person looking at it fears. This is similar to looking at a Television, however, in that it is just a reflection on the shield. Might appear more realistically if one is struck by the sword first however.

No special amounts of physical strength or speed, as he lacks the boots and gauntlets that Link sometimes obtains on his quests.

Name: Ghosty Kage

Appearance: Has curly brown hair, brown eyes, and is wearing white sweatpants and a white longsleeve shirt with white shoes.

Gender: Male

Powers: As a ghost, Kage can ignore gravity, walking walls and levitating through the air. He can move objects with his mind , up to the size of a monster truck, but his powers don't work on the living and thus he can't move people. He can also turn invisible and he phases through solid objects, though hitting him still hurts him. Finally, he can 'possess' inanimate objects, granting him a physical body temporarily while retaining his levitation and telekinesis. Destroying the object will eject him from it, slightly worse for the wear.

Personality: Kage frequently claims haunting people when he follows them, and will attempt (and usually fail) to scare whoever he's 'haunting'. He's a bit nuts, but also mostly harmless towards friends, aside from throwing things at them. He also says he's very evil, but does little to prove this, being an annoyance at worst. He has a large sense of humor, and is very difficult to offend, or even insult, taking everything in stride with a laugh. A not-so-sane, demented laugh.

She has good reflexes and sharp hearing as well. She has rocket boosters in her feet for flight and her arm was equipped with a laser cannon and force-field generator. In addition she is skilled in hand-to-hand combat, which was only enhanced by her robotics.
