The Crying Penguin of Drama
The Crying Penguin of Drama, or shortly, the C-POD, is an old warning issued by yours truely that a character is going to get...pretty dramatic throughout the course of the story or RP.
What does the Crying Penguin of Drama look like you ask? It's a simple symbol, designed by me.
<(;)
Please, do not confuse this smiley with the Happy Birthday Smiley of Joy, which can be portrayed as so: <|:D
How to use the C-POD:
1. When making a character profile, you may want to insert the C-POD before the 'Personality' section of a profile, if not specified, then you may wish to put it in front of the 'Bio' section instead,
Ex:
<(;)Personality
OR
<(;)Bio
2. Just in case someone is new to the ever building trend of the C-POD, you may want to hyperlink the C-POD to this blog post.
3. Lack of C-POD use in dramatic characters can cause great confusion and chaos, so use it whenever you think your characters' personality will change throughout a story or RP
4. You can also use the C-POD warning if you suddenly decide that your character is going to change for a chapter or post, like a mood-swing warning so that common text is not misunderstood.
Ex:
Pie burst into the room, angry and confused she began to yell at her boyfriend, then collapsed on the floor, shaking.
<(
"Kill me! Kill me!! I can't take this anymore!!" She said.
Without the C-POD, the statement can be taken angrily and can cause the un-necessary death of a character.
5. Do NOT ever use this symbol in the case of a bi-polar character, it will be death.
6. If you have trouble understanding rule 4, please consult your friendly neighborhood Pie, and all will be well.
7. You must disable Smileys on your post before using the C-POD, or else a winky smiley will be substituted instead of your C-POD.
8. THE FINAL MOST IMPORTANT RULE!!
The C-POD is to represent this one disclaimer:
The following character is subject to emotional changes throughout the course of the story and is in no way in violation of any set restrictions pertaining to any particular RP rules. Banning or suspension of a character or person for emotional curveballs when a C-POD is present will result in an aggressive lawsuit.
Use at your own risk.
