Superhero RP
Ambrose City, one of the many areas in the USA where you can find heroes and villains alike fighting for its territory. Due to the sheer immensity of the city's crime rate, a new team of superheroes were formed to combat the various threats. Can this young and inexperienced group of heroes learn to band together or will the villains succeed in reeking havoc in the city?

Name: Serial Code; AL-120 N-series, later given the name Alison Marley, only gives the name to her closest friends.
Hero Name: Technorogue, commonly just called Techno amoung her teammates.
Age: Unknown, appears 16
Appearance: Minus the bandages. Her costume consists of the hat in the picture, a purple eye mask, and a black body suit. On the waist of her body suit is a belt with some gold plates spread around it and pouches to keep her gear.
Affiliation: Good
Powers: Techno is an android created by Gilliam Industries and thus has superior strength and speed to that of most humans. She is highly durable and thanks to the sound wave analyzers placed where her ears should be, she can detect sounds from several miles away and quickly identify it. She can also connect herself with electronics like computers to hack into their systems.
Abilities: She was specifically designed for stealth and infiltration based missions. Thus, she has versatile knowledge and experience in getting places without being seen or heard.
Equpiment/Weapons: A small pinkish laser knife.
Personality: Techno is a surprisingly casual and fun-loving girl. Very sociable and open to interactions, she's far from what you expect from a robotic creation. She tends to act goofier than her high intelligence would indicate, possibly as a way to fit in better with others. Additionally, the girl tries hard to be very helpful to others but she sometimes ends up doing more harm than good.
Bio: One of the first androids created by Gilliam Industries, she was designed as a weapon to be used by the highest paying bidder. However, there was an error in her programming that gave her much more human personality than anticipated. One of the lab workers noticed this and knew they had to get her out of there. Because, they couldn't have a faulty product that could possibly disobey orders, she would have to be deactivated and reprogrammed. When she was freed, she was given a new identity and the surname of the kind lab worker who helped her escape. In order to return the kindness shown to her, she decided to work as a hero and protect the innocents on this city.

Powers: Addie is an even stronger and faster android than Techno. Her arms are made with a shapeshifting alloy that allows it to look perfectly human one second then alter into a variety of lethal weapons like the bladed fingers pictured above or even a gun arm.
Abilities: Where Techno was designed for infiltration, Addie was purely designed for assassinations. Her fighting style is highly lethal as she can identify the various lethal points in most organic bodies.
Equpiment/Weapons: Her body.
Personality: Addie is usually very calm and calculating. She is a silent observer up until the moment it is time to kill. At that time, her more sadistic nature comes out as she gleefully mutilates anyone she can. This side of her isn't only triggered by thought of killing, but can also appear if angered enough or if extremely bored.
Bio: A recent creation of Gilliam Industries, fixing the mistake of AL-120, AD-311 was stripped of any human traits and only given that which would be suited to killing. The perfect killing machine and designed to always obey the orders of her master, she was recently sold to a villain located in Ambrose City.

Equpiment/Weapons: He has an entire arsenal of weapons he took from lower-tier super heroes. The ones he uses the most often would be a mask that allows him to teleport (when no one is looking at him); a pair of gloves that give him super-human strength (but only in his hands); and a pair of wrist-mounted grappling guns.
Personality: Greatly dislikes super-heroes; and considers bullying and humiliating them to be the best job in the world. However, he's begun to grow tired of fighting a bunch of D-list wannabes; and would like to begin challenging more dangerous heroes. After all, they'd probably have much better gear. Extremely sarcastic.
Bio: His backstory is so amazingly tragic. Man, you don't even know.

Affiliation(Good or Bad): Good
Powers: As a dragonborn, Quint is able to turn into a large dragon at will, but is also able to use various dragon abilities while in human form. For example: His strength and athletic ability is superior to peak human capabilities, he can breath fire, and he can grow only the wings which allow him to fly, or he can change out his human skin for the far more durable dragon scales (though less durable in this form). There's many other minor abilities that dragons have that only matter to each other as well (Such as telepathic communication with each other). While in dragon form, he also has claws and far more strength than his human form, and his flight becomes more impressive.
Abilities: Growing up around Dragons has taught him how to fight, making him exceptional in hand to hand combat despite having a power that would suggest he didn't need it.
Equipment/Weapons: None, relies on powers and transformation
Personality: Quint has a very forward personality, as Dragons naturally have nothing to hide among each other. His straightforwardness and general attitude makes him a great leader socially, and due to training to become a leader he's also capable of tactically maneuvering around a battlefield. When things are more casual, he has trouble interacting with humans. He finds the lack of telepathic communication hard to deal with, and generally this ends up making him quite distant. However, there are exceptions, such as when certain romantic based series come on the TV. He watches these with a fury, and will discuss them with people emphatically.
Many dragons have an urge to hoard up objects, and Quint is no exception. He actually has a case of kleptomania ever since he joined human society. While he never really steals from people he doesn't know, he may pick up objects that don't seem to have much value to others, and sometimes he'll borrow things. He'll have a place where he piles it all together in his room as well.
Bio: Originally, Quintin was born to become the leader of his group of dragons. His father had led them before him, and he was next in line. However, there was a falling out and his father was accused of crimes against their kind. As per the law, if a dragon is proven to have committed certain types of crimes against dragonkind, all of his kin is to be slain as well. Quintin's father told him to run, told him to live. And so, he did.
It was a great deal of time that passed with him initially in hiding. However, he had ended up hiding in a city that was full of terrible villains and crimes. He ended up taking to the streets while wearing a mask to hide his identity, so that maybe the other dragons wouldn't find him. He rarely transformed while out and about so this made it even easier to hide himself, even though he was frequently seen in public while fighting with dragon-esque abilities.
Now that he has a team, he's taken to leading them and hopes that together they can clean the streets of the horrible evil that humans seem to have hiding among them.

Powers: Teddy has enhanced strength, speed and reactions that augment supernaturally strong instincts. He has incredible free climbing and parkour skills augmented by his absurd finger strength allowing him to cling to the smallest of ledges, as well as extremely high jumping. Furthermore he can control an adaptable robotic tail as if it were a limb.
Abilities: Genius level intellect, particularly in regards to inventing. He's also a free climbing and parkour master. Uses a fighting style that involves lots of movement.
Equpiment/Weapons: A robotic tail that operates according to Teddy's will. It isn't connected electronically but rather responds to him due to his powers as compensation for his lack of a real tail. The tail can have its attachments changed and Simius isn't adverse to creating other things to help himself.
Personality: Happy-go-lucky and free spirited but mischievous, Simius is deceptively smart, possessing genius level engineering skills -having invented the robotic tail- and being rather clever otherwise. Does pretty much everything for fun, which includes inventing and backflipping off of buildings. Deeply irresponsible, Simius likes to take what he wants and whilst never committing any awful crimes he does like to casually break the rules and make a general nuisance of himself.
Surprisingly likeable for a villain, heroes tend to overlook him in favour of battling more dangerous villains and usually only go after him when he pranks one of them or they have nothing better to do. Although he likes to be called Simius, people - friend and foe - often call him "Teddy" which annoys him. Likes video games, sports and reading, and especially likes playing fantasy sports games in newspapers.
Bio: At school, Teddy excelled at everything with little effort. This led to him getting extremely bored and instead of winding up teachers or students, him committed various crimes to entertain himself or obtain the latest video game. His parents didn't care much for for him and eventually abandoned him when his troublemaking became too much hassle for them. At this point he dropped out completely and focused on entertaining himself full time. He'd often pull off heists and then leave the loot lying around as he doesn't have any real need for money. Recently he has taken up the hobby of pissing off super heroes and making them break stuff, assigning things points according to monetary value and difficulty.
His powers were present from his birth, however Teddy is unsure as to whether they are hereditary.

Powers: Mass/Volume manipulation: Moose can alter his mass and his volume independently of each other. Too much of either in the wrong space can be disastrous, but it essentially lets him be super-strong and durable at normal size, or light enough to move around at giant size. He can't make himself weigh less or take up less size than his default form, however.
Abilities: Moose hasn't really learned too much of anything to help himself, since brute force usually gets the job done. Anything that requires more is what teammates are for.

While he was mostly a nobody before he gained powers, his new body allows him to gain a following that he couldn't have had before. He is considered to be an idiot, and even he acknowledges this; but to him, brains can only get you so far, and overwhelming force can get you even farther.
Bio: When anyone was asked to describe Mack, "big dumb bully" often came to mind. He got himself into all sorts of trouble, but it was when he killed his wife that he finally got cornered and put into prison. His powers awoke while in prison, and he broke out, along with several other criminals. He is considered highly dangerous and the law doesn't mind if he ends up dead... if he's even capable of dying anymore.

Always carries some kind of purse or satchel for hir current projects, but like the scarves it seems like ze has one in every color and style and never wears the same one twice in a row. Keeps hir hair pretty short for simplicity's sake; It's very thick, curly and hard to manage when it's longer than a few inches. Hir family originally came from the Caribbean and it shows in hir coloring (Latino, with a little black mixed in several generations back).

Powers: Magic, specifically anything to do with thread or knotwork. In practice it come out to be a mix of enchanting and manipulating the thread itself. Powers: He's a living, breathing radio tower. Radio waves, wifi, tv signals - he can pick up and transmit it all.
Abilities: Technical genius, master programmer/hacker, etc. Suspected to have at least one degree in computer science or radio technology. If he can get close enough to a signal for his powers to pick it up he can use it against someone. Whether or not he has any physical skills is currently unknown. So far he hasn't needed them.
Equpiment/Weapons:his massive brain presumably a wide array of impressive computers and radios.
Personality: He's a genius. Far, far cleverer than you pathetic little trolls. With his power he'll have the world cowering at his feet! Yeah, the guy kind of has an ego. He's the type who sends taunts to heroes when they try to stop him. He also seems to be a bit of a coward - every time someone finds his secret base and shuts it down he's long gone. Or possibly a tactical genius who knows when to cut his losses? Either way he's kind of scummy. He's a big fan of blackmail and he's not very good at sitting on any dirt he uses his powers to dig up.
Bio: He was housed in the same prison facility as Mack, much to his disgust. No one really knows WHAT he did to get in there. He keeps changing his story. His favorite seems to be that "Heartbleed" wasn't a bug in SQL, it was a feature - one he put in for his personal use. Most people don't believe him....but he IS good at what he does.
Something about the accident that precipitated the breakout caused him to develop powers, but whatever it is, he's not telling if he even knows himself. Regardless, his power was a major factor in so many criminals breaking out at once, as he was able to use it to hack into the prison's security and just walk out the front door, along with several others. Of course, then Mack had to go put that big hole in the wall and raise the alarm....

Or so they thought. After he and his parents managed to escape Castro and get to America, they moved to Ambrose City. As he grew, he began to study politics and grew angry at the incompetence of the American government. He began to go to socialist rallies, but even this did not satisfy him. And then his powers awakened. Now armed with a way to fight the power, he set about building a criminal empire that could take over the country. And then, possibly, the world, if they would not unite the people as he wished them to.

Powers: He can summon his scythe back to his hand with a flick of his wrist, and can spin the weapon rapidly to create a magical barrier. He can pull his bones back together if he's broken apart (though he's by no means invincible, he is quite durable). He's also stronger and faster than a normal human, able to catch speeding cars on foot and throw his scythe hundreds of feet.
Abilities: Can wield his scythe, obviously. He is very well read on English classics like Shakespeare, due to his age.
Equipment/Weapons: His magic scythe, which never needs sharpening, and despite this is so sharp its cutting edge extends two feet past where the blade ends. Also a necklace that acts as his magical disguise.
Personality: A jovial old man, Edgar enjoys company and books. He always has a story to tell, and is always willing to lend an ear, figuratively speaking, to those in need. He's incredibly patient and kind, but doesn't quite understand modern technology (he recently went to a car dealership and tried to buy a horse) and can get a bit cranky, especially when people call him the Grim Reaper.
Bio: A hapless young Englishman in the 1600s was lured into a dark forest by a coven of witches and used as part of a dark ritual. The witches successfully killed and revived him, turning into a servant of their dark powers. His flesh rotted off as he did their bidding. For 50 years he served them, until a group of soldiers came and killed the witches in the name of the Church of England. Edgar was freed from their control, and managed to escape the soldiers. He came to America on one of the first English colonial ships, and for a while roamed the new continent. He has been through most major conflicts in American history, secretly helping whatever side he considered to be morally right, but only recently has he publicly begun to fight crime. When not crime-fighting, he runs an old bookstore.

Personality: A girl with a good heart that's always lead her to do things for other people. This is why she ended up becoming a hero in the first place. She has discipline from her long hours of practicing in her father's dojo and the family line. She's creative since she's fooled around and ended up creating entirely new sword techniques. Some are even applied to exorcism and destruction of the otherworldly. She doesn't adhere to traditions like the rest of her family does since she sees the world as a whole rather than just one 'section'. Other people inhabit it too and she can't ignore that. There are other ways of thinking that don't go along whatever that 'tradition' is. At her core she's adventurous, someone who's always willing to go the extra mile into the unknown just to see where it will lead her. Doesn't take well to betrayal

Her original 'superhero' name was something along the lines of 'Kisaragi' as a reference to the month she was born. The Katsumoto family's rival, the Tadakatsu, were participating in an underground 'war'. They had influence in the Yakuza which means they were already knee-deep in the darkness of Kazumochi City. Taking the name 'Kisaragi', Katsumi fought to keep the corruption from spreading. Unlike some heroes, she fights to kill and rid the world of darkness.
In the final confrontation with the Tadakatsu heir Sishimori, Katsumi as struck down and critically injured. Her body was recovered by the tech corporation Gijutsu. They are a benevolent corporation who have helped heroes in the region long before then. Realizing Katsumi's technique and her prestige, she was revived with special cybernetic enhancements. Now - there's tell that the Tadakatsu Clan is looking to expand its influence beyond Japan's borders and now they're getting involved with the American Market. Katsumi has been sent to take them down. This is a journey of both vengeance and justice!

- High Frequency Blade - Seiryū; A High Frequency Blade that's capable of easily tearing through steel. It's likeness is that of a katana It's a fast, versatile weapon made for primary offense.
- Tearing Blade - Suzaku; A black blade with 'teeth' like a chainsaw that's meant to tear away at defense. Slightly heavier than Seiryū, but can move just as fast.
- Shearing Blade - Byakko; A balde made similarily to Seiryū rather than Suzaku. It's a sword designed to be used for intensely powerful swings. It stores up energy in the sheathe connecting to Katsumi and releases all of the energy in one powerful slash. The heat from the slash expands outward to deal damage and burn away anyone who surrounds Katsumi during the attack.
- Pulsing Blade - Genbu; A blade made of pure concentrated energy that's capable of burning away flesh and metal from just touch. Much less of a direct offensive weapon than the other three swords. Capable of extending outward to attack more targets like a snake or a volatile serpent. The longer it stretches out, the weaker it becomes.
- Vulcan Cannons - Kōryū or Ōryū; Two powerful vulcan cannons that serve as Katsumi's primary ranged attacks. They're stored with powerful tank-piercing rounds that are capable of tearing away at a tank or a building with relative ease.
- Burst Boots; The special metallic boots that are now Katsumi's 'feet' have thrusters in them that allow for even quicker movement and flight.
- Rheid Engine; The power source and life support for Katsumi's body and techniques. A powerful generator that blasts out with unknown energy. Appearance: Rod is half-Mexican, half-Zapotec Indian -- thus very dark of hair and skin. Before the accident he was quite handsome, blessed with height and health. After the accident, Rod's body is almost skeletal; skin clings to sinewy muscle and protruding bone, while his eyes turned fiery orange and his face became a skull misted with sickly flesh. He hides all of this by wearing a loose, earth-toned robe that drapes over the sides of his automated wheelchair.
Affiliation: Good
Powers: When angered or emotionally compromised, Rod acts as a channel for Tlazolteotl, "the eater of Sin" -- better known as the Aztec goddess of Filth, Vice, and Lust. When channeling, Rod can either heal his friends of their maledictions or inflict disease on his enemies. The possession also grants him levitation and the ability to read minds.
Equipment/Weapons: Rod's wheelchair is automated and could cause serious damage to one's toes should they stray too close to the wheels.
Personality: While often withdrawn and quiet, when Rod is around trusted friends he can be amiable, even funny sometimes. He struggles with his self-image, especially around the opposite sex; this frustrates him as he remembers what it was once like to be desired and admired by others. His struggles have given him a fatalistic and sarcastic edge, which ironically alienates him further from his peers.
Background: Rodrigo was once an aspiring musician and famed mariachi. He would play the biggest venues in Mexico, wooing thousands of fans with his guitar and his angelic voice. The local Cartel boss wanted Rodrigo to enter into a binding contract, so whoever really wanted Rodrigo, would have to pay a hefty sum to null the contract first. Rodrigo responded by fleeing the cartel and seeking asylum in the U.S -- sadly, he wasn't able to take his younger sister with him. The Cartel took his sister Marcella and enslaved her in a bordello, where she would spend her entire life servicing the Cartel's enforcers.

Over the next six months Marcella nursed Rod back to something resembling health and then used what money she'd saved up to have him smuggled back to America. Sadly, after being exposed to the massive amount of radiation coming off Rod, Marcella died 2 months later.
Rage and sadness consumed Rodrigo and in his pain he prayed, but not for mercy or grace, forgiveness or anything holy. Rodrigo prayed for a plague to devour the Cartel, and something answered. Hero Name: La Amante ("The Lover")

Appearance: Rod is half-Mexican, half-Zapotec Indian -- thus very dark of hair and skin. Before the accident he was quite handsome, blessed with height and health. After the accident, Rod's body is almost skeletal; skin clings to sinewy muscle and protruding bone, while his eyes turned fiery orange and his face became a skull misted with sickly flesh. He hides all of this by wearing a loose, earth-toned robe that drapes over the sides of his automated wheelchair.

Powers: When angered or emotionally compromised, Rod acts as a channel for Tlazolteotl, "the eater of Sin" -- better known as the Aztec goddess of Filth, Vice, and Lust. When channeling, Rod can either heal his friends of their maledictions or inflict disease on his enemies. The possession also grants him levitation and the ability to read minds.
Equipment/Weapons: Rod's wheelchair is automated and could cause serious damage to one's toes should they stray too close to the wheels.
Personality: While often withdrawn and quiet, when Rod is around trusted friends he can be amiable, even funny sometimes. He struggles with his self-image, especially around the opposite sex; this frustrates him as he remembers what it was once like to be desired and admired by others. His struggles have given him a fatalistic and sarcastic edge, which ironically alienates him further from his peers.

Her aggressive powers scare her sometimes, only once has she slipped to allow a casualty to occur, but since then she's been a little bit of a control freak when it comes to her attacks.
Abilities:
-Send sparks of electricity to supercharge hand to hand combat
-From a small distance, she can shoot bolts and streaks of electricity to disarm or distract opponents
-At close range, can disrupt the circuits in most machinery, maybe even hack it sometimes.
-Occasionally, she uses her abilities to charge the weapons of her allies, but only if she isn’t occupied in hand to hand combat.
-Natural back-up generator -shot-
-She can summon and direct lightning, but refuses to use it to strike people. It also seriously drains her, so it's usually only a last ditch attempt to save her skin or someone else's.
-Given some basic supplies, she can act as an emergency defibrillator
-Currently developing a way to manipulate the charged particles around her, without much success

Some of the treated them well, others were indifferent to them, and others still were unkind to one or both of them. In the time before joining the team, the two relied solely on one another. They trained until they could use their powers to support themselves, but they occasionally had to resort to petty thievery. Personality: Hex is very independent and tends to act cruelly towards most people. If she’s ever not acting cold towards someone, odds are she’s trying to deceive him. Despite her power being somewhat taxing to her, she uses it often, sometimes even solely as an intimidation method; moreover, the fact that shapeshifting drains her energy is only ever evident after she uses the power to alter her shape numerous times.
Bio: Hex grew up an orphan. She was never adopted due to her bad attitude towards any potential families and eventually ran away from the orphanage at which she resided. She got tangled into prostitution around the age of fifteen and couldn’t escape that lifestyle until, at the age of seventeen she began to experience an odd phenomenon. Her body began to change form randomly, and eventually, she was able to harness this ability and manipulate it to an extent. She practiced this power, soon discovering that she could change into practically anything she could imagine. It became easy for her to control, almost natural. She had no idea where this power had come from, but she used it to escape. By eighteen, she had brutally murdered the man who held her into prostitution and dealt her out to random men for years, and she began to wander the streets aimlessly, searching for something to do.

He augments his physical capabilities with air manipulation such as removing the air from in front of his fists to create less resistance. He can also fly. Like his sister, Carter is very talented at adapting his power to situations.
Equipment/Weapons: Metal rods that can be used for stabbing or as lighting rods.
Personality: Serious and ruthless, Carter has no problem 'doing what needs to be done'. He is the complete opposite of his sister and is often bitterly sarcastic. He is not a terrible leader when called upon as he his decisive and shrewd, although calling upon him to lead would probably result in casualties. Doesn't particularly care what other people - apart from his sister - think of him. He is prone to succumbing to his anger.

Equipment/Weapons: A small sabre sword.
Personality: Terin is fun-loving and trusting. She likes to interact with people, despite always being the outcast in school. However, she can get quiet and serious when in stressful situations.
Bio: Terin has always been fascinated with dinosaurs. She would read about dinosaurs every day and played with dinosaur figurines during recess at school. Not long after being released from the institution, she discovered that she now had the power to shape machinery into different things during a certain mishap with her laptop.

While searching for a light switch, she triggered a machine in the room which proceeded to zap her with a strange light. She passed out and awoke later in the hospital. Not long after being released from the institution, she discovered that she now had the power to shape machinery into different things during a certain mishap with her laptop.

Minus the hairclips, and obviously a little harsher around the eyes
Affiliation: Buh-buh-buh-bad to the bone!
Powers: Water manipulation, not limited to just water but also most liquids.
Equipment/Weapons: Carries around a small container of water, usually strapped to his belt.
Personality: Cocky and arrogant, a real prankster. Rather dumb when it comes to personal situations, and very hardheaded in the field. He generally charges in blind and leaves a tidal wave of issues in his wake. On a good day, he won’t get knocked on his ass by an unseen opponent, but since he rarely pays any attention, he doesn’t have a lot of good days. Thankfully, he has keen instincts that allow him to react quicker than he can think. He has a lot of trouble with the team, because he’s very self-serving.
Bio: Andrew follows two things, the money trail, and the fun, since criminal activity is the best way to follow both, he does that. Before his parents passed in a car accident, he lived in the lap of luxury, people waiting on him and in foot. But from age 10 on, he was completely on his own. When he was 13, he wandered his way into an abandoned warehouse to steal what he thought were drugs inside to sell, it turned out to be an underground research facility. He was caught by one of the scientists, who threatened to kill him if he saw anything. Intrigued by what he saw, Andrew instead volunteered to become one of the test subjects in order to barter for his life and the safety of their information. Over the months, he was fed and looked after by the scientists. When the experiments were complete, and Andrew was sure that his powers were permanent, he flooded the entire facility and fled. He wandered aimlessly, pursuing “something new” everywhere he went, and eventually landed with the team of villains.

Personality: Was once a man who wanted to help and become a 'hero' by saving those with magic, now he's only a monster that only knows destruction.
Bio: A man who dabbled into the MAGICS a bit too much and ended up becoming the vessel of a powerful demon. This was in the age of heroes just before this one. The magician now known as Dreadmound fought and killed many heroes while absorbing them into his body. Eventually it took the combine might of a new group to seal the monster away in the Demon Realm for good. Or rather, it would be for good if there wasn't a way for him to break out.
