Hogwarts RP

I figured I'd make a Harry Potter RP that didn't exist soully for twilight bashing. Forgot to mention earlier, we're aiming to make this mostly wizards with very unique characteristics. (half-giants, werewolves, morphimagi, animagi, etc)

Name: Erika Barkhorn.

Age: 17

Appearance: tall. Has short black hair, and blue eyes.

House: Hufflepuff.

Skills: broom riding; though not really a Quidditch fan. Claims that given a minute of preparation, she could fly anything.

Spells: disarming spell, stun spell, fire spell, and a few transfiguration spells.

Other Abilities: she's a bat animagus.

Personality: Is obsessed with flying, and with Muggle culture (Particularly muggle aircraft). If you leave anything that flies where she can get her hands on it, expect it to disappear. but don't worry, she's nice enough to give it back. If she doesn't crash it. Tends to tease the people around her, particularly fellow Hufflepuffs.

Bio: she comes from a wealthy "pureblood" family; though one that was encouraging and supportive of her. she'd always found the high life to be boring; especially the etiquette training her parents put her through. when she was around 7 years old; she ended up in a muggle movie theatre due to a strange accident involving a floo powder malfunction and a banana. while she was there, she watched a muggle movie several times, thus resulting in her obsession with muggle culture. After her parents managed to get her back; she asked them for books regarding muggle aircraft, and muggle history. She had decided she wanted to be an ace pilot; and she wasn't going to let the wizarding world's lack of airplanes stop her...

Name: Jonathan Silvarbak

Age: 14

Appearance: Average build, hair reaches past the ears behind the head and is short from sides. Hazel colored eyes and brown hair

House: Ravenclaw

Skills: Skilled at Herbology

Spells: Ice spell, stun spell, repairing spell and few others

Other Abilities: Expert at launching spell's without words needed.

Personality: Laid back and friendly, sometimes using weasley's shops items of mischiefs for....well, mischiefs. Can be creative with spells and has obession for salty snacks.

Bio: From half-blood wizard family which have much better understanding for muggle items than other wizard familys, since his mother worked at muggle section at ministry of magic. When his older brother and sister went year ahead before him into Hogwarts, he became lonely and began to
develope his own ways to keep him self occupied.

Name: Benjamin Gartheze

Age: 16

Appearance: Absurdly tall, with ragged brown hair and brown eyes.

House: Hufflepuff

Skills: Very knowledgeable about plants and animals alike.

Spells: A water conjuring spell, a deflection spell, and quite a few stun and sleep spells.

Other Abilities: Is half-giant. Do not challenge him to a fist fight.

Personality: Though kind, if a bit shy, most of the time, Ben will not hesitate to try and crush anyone who hurts someone or something weaker than themselves. He's highly protective of animals.

Bio: A half-giant raised by wizards, Ben was... out of the ordinary. He was insulted, of course, called things such as "oversized half-blood" and ridiculed. He still has a strong dislike of Syltherin to this day, and often helps out Hagrid after classes.

Name: Vanessa Mulciber

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Appearance: Average height, about 5'4" - 5'5". Dark brown hair in dreadlocks with a slight widow's peak, high, arched brows. Blue eyes. Slightly muscular; toned, pale skin, arm tattoos. Img.

House: Slytherin

Skills: Skilled in Occlumency, is surprisingly good with animals, decent chef.

Spells: Occlumency, most of the simple stunning and disarming spells, basic utility spells like Lumos/Nox, Accio, and Alohomora.

Other Abilities: Is a werewolf.

Personality: Vanessa was put in Slytherin for a reason, with a cunning mind and ambition to become a pivotal figure in history. As if not wantign to deter too much of Slytherin's reputation, she makes a point of coming off as.. kind of a bitch. She has a tendency to act high-and-mighty, especially around half-bloods or Muggle-born students, though she doesn't particularly hate them to be honest. It may be that she's just a stickler for tradition, or she finds it all kind of humorous, and really only means it in good fun. She often insults people with a smile on her face and a chuckle, which usually serves to piss them off further when she really means it to prove she's joking around. She highly competitive when playing Quidditch, and even off the field she often taunts the members of other teams, threatening them with her Beater bat, that she always carries around in 'secret'.

Bio: This Pureblood Witch was born into a long-standing family, most of which has been part of the Slytherin House, though there were a few in each of the other Houses as well. She had a rather normal childhood, regardless of her heritage, with her family not particularly outspoken against mixed-blood families, nor outstandingly wealthy, though her parents do believe that Muggles should mostly be kept out of the Wizarding world. As a small child, she would often play in the woods around her family's home. One day, she wandered too deep into the woods without her parent's knowledge, and ended up getting attacked by a werewolf, who was a criminal on the run from the Ministry. Thus, she has since been infected with lycanthropy, and has been trying to brew the Wolfsbane Potion in secret for years, though she isn't very good at potions, and has failed many times due to the complexity of the potion and the ritual.

Name: Jack Sullen

Age: 15

House: Gryffindor

Skills: He's an excellent duelist and seeker for his age.

Spells: He has a fairly wide arsenal of combat and survival spells.

Other Abilities: His instincts are great, mainly due to his developing paranoia. He carries around a stock of bezoars. He floats like a butterfly and stings like herpes a bee, learned from his father.

Personality: Jack is an arrogant arsehole with a mild case of paranoia. He is pretty much the Gryffindor all haters imagine. Despite this, he's fairly nice to first years, and is much loved within his house due to his Quidditch heroics. Outside his house, he is universally hated by Slytherin and anyone who likes Quidditch. To his credit, he has the positive Gryffindor traits too and can be quite charming. He's rather aggressive and often goes looking for fights to test himself, and usually ends up in prank wars that become rather vicious by the end of the year.

Bio: Jack was born in London, his father being a muggle boxer who passed down the aggression Jack displays; his mother, a witch living in muggle society as a housewife (she was talented with non-combat spells which assisted her in housework) who passed on her paranoia, these traits, combined with prodigious dueling skill, creating a definite Auror candidate for the future.

Upon revealing she was a witch, Jack's father attempted to run away, but was obliviated. He took it much better the second time. Jack's family was rather well balanced, as his mother was discreetly paranoid and his father released his aggression in the boxing ring. Jack himself only reached the age where he grew more agressive at Hogwarts, leaving his home life intact for the most part.

Jack discovered the Room of Requirement in his second year, but only thinks it is a room to practice duelling. He has racked up a grand total of six weeks in the hospital wing all together, mainly from doing stupid things or being jumped by wronged Slytherins.

Name: Violet Horwood

Appearance:

House: Hufflepuff

Skills: She enjoys riding a broomstick, possibly because of her avian ancestry. She doesn't play Quidditch because this would attract attention to herself. She likes to think she is good at hiding, but this is only true when it comes to hiding from girls.

Spells: She prefers charms and transfiguration, as these can aid her in not standing out.

Other Abilities: As a part-Veela, male humans feel an overpowering attraction to her. This is useful if she needs to provide a distraction, but she is far too shy to actually WANT to do this.

Personality: Violet is a very, VERY shy girl. She does not like the idea of having any attention brought to her at all, and is constantly embarrassed by all the stares she gets from guys. She wishes she could just be an average person, but her Veela-ancestry prevents this. She purposefully misses some questions on tests because some teachers like to announce who has the best grades. She is least-shy around her friends, but is still very quiet, even at her most outgoing. She treasures her friends greatly.

Bio: Violet comes from a fairly well-to-do Wizarding family. Her grandfather was a man capable of having a Veela fall for him, and her father, a half-Veela. Violet has been very aware of the effects of Veela-blood, and whether she liked it or not, has always had men to serve her every need. She's been trying very hard to keep men away from her, though a lot of girls also don't like her simply because they are jealous or judge her character based on what she is and not who she is.

Name: Shirley Mackenzie Walterson

Age: 25

Appearance: red hair, blue eyes, large bust.

House: Slytherin (back when she went to Hogwarts, anyway)

Skills: Very skilled duelist. Is also very much a combat pragmatist; having no problem with putting an opponent in the hospital, or killing them if necessary.

Spells: Disarming spell, fire spell, stun spell, slug puking spell, and various nasty curses.

Other Abilities: None.

Personality: Usually very friendly, and helpful to others. But if you piss her off, she will make you wish you didn't have the ability to feel pain.

Bio: Meh. Maybe later.

Name: Micah Dewhurst

Age: 14

Appearance: Variable, though typically about 5'5" and on the skinny side. Her hair is generally somewhere between chin and shoulder length, usually dark with streaks of whatever unnatural color strikes her fancy at the moment. Her eyes also tend to be dark, oscillating between black and brown most of the time. Routinely switches gender for no apparent reason.

House: Ravenclaw

Skills: Espionage, smooth talking, above average flier

Spells: Mostly utility spells, stunning and disarming spells, several spells related to sneaking around

Other Abilities: As a metamorphmagus, Micah can take any shape she pleases.

Personality: Despite her love of espionage, Micah tends to be rather loud and boisterous. Though she's an avid collector of other people's secrets, she keeps very few of her own. She takes an almost vicious gee in dropping subtle and not-so-subtle hints about what she knows, which has lead ot the destruction of more than one friendship in her early years at the school. She also has a tendency to do somewhat...unsettling things with her abilities and a love of hatching elaborate schemes to solve other people's problems, whether or not they've asked for her help.

Bio: Micah is something of a mutt on all accounts. Her father is from a rather obscure wizarding family, one which according to her grandfather's stories was once quite well known but fell from grace for reasons even they don't care enough to remember. Her mother is a bit of an odd duck, what muggles call a "hippie" from the Unites States. They are one of the few mixed couples who neither keep secrets between them, nor argue over their differences. Micah's mother was the one who insisted on giving her a unisex name upon finding out about her gift, and encouraged her to grow up as whoever and whatever she pleased.

Though raised in a mixed household, Micah doesn't understand all that much more about muggle technology than your average wizard. She does, however, share her mother's love of muggle literature and music. Her somewhat obnoxious behavior has managed ot alienate most of her house, a good portion of whom are convinced she should have been placed in Slytherin, despite her generally friendly and well intentioned demeanor.

Name: Laarni "Arni" Clemington

Age: 16

Skills: Dueling (which she learned at Hogwarts), divination, and special Asian curses. She's also a decent flyer.

Spells: Basic spells (alohomora, lumos/nox, wingardium leviosa, finite incantatum, etc.), dueling spells (expelliarmus, bombarda, tarantagula, serpensortia, petrificus totalus, etc.), some minor hexes and jinxes invented and used by kids, and some spells and rituals that are only known to her Asian culture.

Other Abilities: She's a decent hand-to-hand fighter, especially with knives.

Personality: Quirky can possibly be what describes her. She's friendly to everyone, even the Gryffindors, and doesn't believe in blood purity. This makes her somewhat an outcast amongst the Slytherin house, at least among the pureblood blood purists (yes, there's a difference). But beneath that friendly exterior is a somewhat complicated interior. She knows how to manipulate, not hesitating to do so to get her way, and she has a habit of placing a curse on those who have done her wrong. She's a true Slytherin to wear a friendly mask to make others underestimate her.

Bio: She's the daughter of a British pureblood wizard and an Asian witch who is classified as halfblood by the British wizarding society. She was born in her mother's home country and spent most of her childhood there. But when she was nearing her eleventh birthday, she and her family moved to Britain so that she could attend Hogwarts, since her homeland does not have special magic schools and her father wanted it. She adjusted pretty well, though she still has somewhat of a culture shock syndrome, especially when it comes to the strict laws on magic. She doesn't really care though and continues practicing her magic, some of which can be classified as illegal in Britain. The only reason she knows how to fight decently is because most witches and wizards are considered as dark in her home country and have many enemies who want to get rid of them.

Name: Alona Jordan

Age: 26

Appearance: tall. dark hair, brown eyes. Somewhat flat.

House: Ravenclaw

Skills: Transfiguration teacher.

Spells: Don't feel like listing them.

Other Abilities: None.

Personality: Very stoic, and snarky. Somewhat of a kuudere.

Bio: Her parents were supporters of Voldemort, and fanatical ones at that. When she started dating a halfblood girl; said parents got angry, and murdered her girlfriend. They then put an imperious on her for a whole year. They were later killed by their house elf, who they accidentally gave clothes to. She then went to live with distant relatives, though she was thoroughly traumatized by the experience. After a few years of therapy, she managed to attend a magical university and got her magical teaching degree in Transfiguration; before going back to Hogwarts to become a Transfiguration teacher.

Name: Rosemary Silverlake

Age: 15

House: Gryffindor

Skills: Dueling, jinxing, transfigurations, etc.

Spells: The basics, quite a few nasty jinxes, transfiguration spells, basically as much magic a girl her age should know with a few extra spells thrown in.

Other Abilities: Has a mean left hook, took an interest in boxing from her muggle father.

Personality: Energetic and playful, she can come off as quite tomboyish. She prefers running around, talking rudely, and just plain having fun to being a good and proper lady like her mother wants her to be.

Bio: The youngest daughter in the Silverlake family, her father is a wealthy muggle and her mother was a pure blood witch who had gotten disowned by her parents after marrying the muggle. She spent most of her time with her father, showing many traits that were similar to his own and took up many of his interest, especially boxing, much to her mother's displeasure who wanted the girl to be more lady-like. Both her and her older sister showed signs of having magic and Rosemary started attending Hogwarts a year after her sister.

Name: Rowan Silverlake

Skills: Potions making, botany, charms etc.

Spells: The basic, the spells her age group should know, some useful spells to help in her botany and potion making

Other Abilities: A great cook which went hand in hand with her ability in potions, her calm presence can bring order to those around her especially when she uses a serious tone of voice.

Personality: Rowan is a kind, polite person with quite a bit of patience, though she will chastise her sister when she's being rude, often accompanied with a pinch on the arm. Despite being often mistaken for a boy, she's the more feminine of the two siblings.

Bio: Unlike Rosemary, Rowan spent most of her time with her mother becoming the woman's favorite. Despite preferring boy's clothing, Rowan acted like the proper, well-mannered, and polite daughter she had wanted. She taught Rowan all of which she knew about botany, wanting to share her trade with her eldest daughter. The girl took quite and interest in it and cooking as well. Eventually she had to attend Hogwarts, spending the better part of the year wthout her family.

Name: Maggie Turtlebox

Age: 11

Appearance:

House: Hasn’t been sorted yet.

Skills: She’s read a few books on Herbology, but doesn’t know very much about it.

Spells: None.

Other Abilities: None.

Personality: Once she starts talking, it takes a bit of time to shut her up. She is quite hyper and says things without thinking. She sometimes comes off as rude, irritating, strange, loud, bipolar, and crazy to different people.

Bio: She was born into an ordinary muggle family. Her parents were shocked at first she told them that she accidentally set her room on fire without any matches or a lighter. Nobody could find any reason for her room to suddenly catch on fire like that, so they started to wonder what had made her think she did it. Eventually, more tiny accidents like that began to occur, and they worried about their daughter. When the owl arrived with her letter, they weren’t as surprised as they should have been. They reluctantly sent her off to Hogwarts. They wanted her to be able to control her magic and learn things about other wizards and witches.

Name: Lachina Hambleton

Age: 15

Appearance: red hair, blue eyes. large glasses.

House: Gryffindor

Skills: Good with curses, and binding spells.

Spells: (I'll add in the specific ones later)

Other Abilities: good at sewing.

Personality: very sweet and innocent. Not at all the type who would tie up a random girl, throw them in the room of requirement, and ask it to make an elaborate, and very slow death trap; just to see if she has the guts to kill someone. Nor does she secretly hate purebloods; or have an elaborate plan to reveal the wizarding world to muggles...

Bio: Her mother was a witch from a pureblood family who ran away from home to elope with a muggle man. Her father was a police officer. She grew up completely oblivious to wizards and such, until around her sixth birthday. One said birthday, her grandfather tracked down her parents, and murdered them in front of her. He was about to kill her as well; but that was around the time the ministry showed up to arrest him. She was then informed of magic, and put in a magical foster family that was nice to her...until they found out she was a half-blood. By the time she got to Hogwarts, she hated purebloods with a passion; but hid her hatred well, as it would be a few years before she could put her new plan into motion.
