Loli Defense Force GO!

Kasamatsu Izanagi was on a walk. Specifically, he was on a walk to the local bookstore. While he didn't read a lot-not to say that he didn't read at all, but he was satisfied with the small amount of books he owned and he had many other pastimes-his younger sister, Kasamatsu Chika, had a great liking for manga, especially manga that featured little sister characters of 8-10(or characters who looked and acted like that). Izanagi wasn't sure why she liked them so much, last time he asked her she said something about them being adorable and wishing she had a younger sister as well, but nevertheless he was the older brother and her fourteenth birthday was tomorrow. Considering he had yet to get her a present(and felt rather guilty about that fact), it was his responsibility to pick up something she would like. Plus, it was Sunday, there was no school. Chika was out with friends and it was the perfect opportunity to get her the best present he could.

Little did Izanagi know, soon Chika would be getting a present she had always asked for.

Jinbei sighed. The latest volume of this manga was so exhilerating.

Having read it in the store instead of buying it to save money, he had just shown his ability to read manga at an incredible rate. Yes, this manga about a loli with magical powers was the best he'd read in a while, and this Volume opened with a fight scene and ended with such a serious question that he couldn't stand the idea of waiting for the next volume.

And so, it having been so good, he decided to buy it anyway, and walked over to the cashier.

Tachibana Akio navigated the crowded parking lot, hunting for an empty space. While technically, he should've been finalising his lesson plans for the week ahead, the latest volumes of Warfighter Z and Gundam Sousei had come in and he had to get them now. He wasn't really sure why, but getting manga while they were still new had always seemed important to him. And he would work on the lesson plan afterwards, even if it took him all night. Even if he was putting manga before his students right now, he wouldn't let them down. After all, they looked up to him.

Eventually, he found a parking spot, closed the door of his tiny, rundown sedan and stretched. It's a miracle the police let me drive it in this condition. he thought as headed off towards the bookstore.

Zanzai skimmed through a shonen manga. His eyebrow raised at the feats displayed within. Monks couldn't do that... or that... or that... really, since when did monks have super strength, the ability to fly, or... laser blasts? That was just silly. Sighing, the elderly man placed the manga back onto the shelf, before hobbling over to the counter with a different manga that he had picked up before. A seinen, something about a Buddhist monk and a western priest that lived together. A neat little way to pass the time between appointments.

He clasped his hands as he waited, and murmured a chant under his breath.

Eien stood behind the counter of the bookstore, scowling minutely at the people who were standing around the manga section of the store. He wondered why they would risk lowering their intelligence (not that he believed they had much intelligence to begin with) by poisoning their minds with dribble such as manga. There were more useful books around, like encyclopedias and other reference books. And why would anyone make manga anyway? It's such a worthless ambition, something beneath him at least.

Not that working in a bookstore was any better. Still, it was the only place that Eien could stand working in that didn't have such a loud environment. He could only stand being a waiter for so long.

A boy who looked around Eien's age approached the counter and placed a manga book down. Eien scowled at it, but rang up the purchase anyway. He might dislike manga and those who read them, but their money was his paycheck so who was he to argue?

Alisa approached the counter with a few book on biology, and a rather odd manga she'd found about magical lolis fighting giant robots.

She didn't really NEED any of these books; but she figured they'd make some nice light reading.

Izanagi opened the door to the bookstore and looked in. There were a few other people her noticed in the bookstore, one guy at the front counter, he'd passed a guy with sideburns heading inside, the guy behind the counter... he recognized an elderly Buddhist monk he occasionally saw in the market district as well. He was near the manga section... which was kind of entertaining when you thought about it. There was a few other people he'd seen in passing, and one of the girls from his high school. She was graduating, wasn't she?

Whatever, it wasn't too important at the moment. Izanagi made a beeline for the manga section, when...

I'm going to have to apologize in advance for what's about to happen to you all, but it's necessary, you must understand.

What the hell...?

"Ehh?" Izanagi blinked. Unbeknownst to him, several other people he'd seen in the bookstore had heard the same voice in their heads as well. It was about then that he noticed that time had stopped, well, everything but himself and several other people in the shop.

"... Ehhhhhhh?! What the hell just-"

There was a blinding light, engulfing him. Incredibly bright, enough to completely obscure his view of what was going on. If he could still see, he'd be able to tell that the other people who had remained unfrozen where being engulfed in similar lights.

"Aaaagh!"

A voice spoke into all of their minds.

You are the only ones with potential that we could find.

Izanagi's vision returned and he saw that rings of light, circles filled with intricate patterns and symbols, had surrounded him.

Again, we apologize for what's about to happen, but there's no time for explanations now.

Izanagi looked down at himself... was... was he shrinking?! His clothing was growing loser... he was shrinking! He could feel his body growing smaller, even!

The elderly Buddhist man paused upon hearing the voice. As time stopped and the light surrounded him, he sat down, legs crossed, and began to meditate, listening to the voice, and noting the word 'potential'. He remained calm and continued meditating even as he began shrinking...

"What the fuck..." said Alisa, before the rings of light suddenly surrounded her. For a second, she thought she was shrinking; as her clothes suddenly became looser, and the room around her seemed to grow larger.

However, when the lights abruptly stopped, she found that she was only a few feet shorter than she'd originally been.

"Huh. If I was hit by some kind of shrink ray; then it must have been a pretty shitty one," she said.

She then looked around, and noticed something odd. A moment ago, she'd been the only female in the store; but now she was surrounded by little girls. The males in the room also seemed to be completely absent.

She began to examine herself for other changes. She was relieved to find that she still had two arms, and two legs. However, as she was looking at her feet, she realized something else was missing.

She quickly brought her hands to her chest, and realized to her horror that she was now flat as a board.

"Uh...does anybody have a mirror?" she asked.

Oh, what a stupid question I just asked. surely noone here is narcisstic enough to carry a mirror with them. she thought.

Akio paused as he heard the voice. "What the..? What're you talking about?!"

He glanced around, looking for the source of the sound, only to be greeted with a blinding light. He winced and rubbed his eyes. Then the voice came again.

Potential? Potential for what? Oh, this is like in an anime! We've gotta be the heroes then! AWESOME!

"Alright, bring it on!" he yelled, grinning. He watched the patterns moving, too excited to notice as his clothes became looser.

Eien was normally a calm type of person. He always thought things through before doing anything and he always kept his emotions in check when dealing with stressful situations.

But being surrounded by rings of light and shrinking did wonders on his stoicness. He really wanted to scream his head off now. At least he had the presence of mind to take note on the voice in his head, even though he was close to panicking.

When the light show was over and Eien saw that he was still alive, he would've whooped for joy. But then he took a good look at his body, noticing that his clothes were more like rags on him, and his body felt lighter. Not only that, but his only longish hair was even longer now.

And when he ran a hand along his chest, he could definitely feel some protrusions. Not big ones, but they were unmistakable.

"Oh... shit..." he muttered and, to his horror, found that the low voice he had was now replaced by a softer one with a higher pitch.

Oh shit indeed.

Jinbei noticed a not too happy look from the cashier. He would have said something about how he surely was NOT a lolicon, when the voice interrupted him.

"Hrm? Apologize for what..." THe light blinded him and he cried out. THen he somehow managed to feel embarrassed for crying out.

When the voice mentioned potential, he hesitated... "Uhm... not so sure I want to get into something..." As he said the sentence his voice grew smaller and smaller, and he was noticing his body was too.

"Uhm..." As he looked around the store, he noticed that... Lolis. OHgawdtheLOLIS!

"Dear Kami... is this... did I die? But I'm not into that terrorist stuff..." He then shook his head. He realised he was still in the bookshop.

In that case... "LOLIS WOW!" Then as he tried to jump for joy he tripped on his clothes. "Oops..." He tried to manage himself back into a standing position.

Izanagi had... pretty much no idea what was going on at this point. He'd stopped shrinking, though he was definitely smaller then before, but he felt... odd... he quite literally felt his limbs grow more slender... his entire body was shifting! He couldn't really tell what had happened, but now he felt... it was hard to say exactly how he felt. Then, suddenly, something violently shifted inside of him. His eyes briefly bulged, and he winced, going to his knees awkwardly in his now-oversized clothes. His hair... he just realized it, his hair was longer. That... what had just happened?

Izanagi finally took notice that the lights were gone.

He felt... lighter. And like a lot of things had shifted and changed, and... a number of other changes. So... really, what had just happened?! What the hell was going on?! Sitting back on his knees(partially to help keep his pants and underwear from falling off, they didn't fit anymore. None of his clothing did), he looked around. "What the-"

Izanagi's eyes widened, and he covered his mouth. His voice... that wasn't his voice! The pitch was higher, it was... girlier... it was the voice of a young girl. Ten, maybe eleven... that's what it sounded like...

"Wh-what...?"

Akio felt a rather similar series of sensations to Izanagi, brushing all of them off as the immense power flooding into his body. Too transfixed by the symbols to glance down at his body.

After the lights cleared, Akio noticed something. Well, several somethings. For starters, the shelves had gotten much taller. And everyone else had been replaced by giant little girls. And then he glanced down. Akio let out a scream, before staggering and falling backwards.

"Wh-what the..?" she quickly covered her mouth. There's no way that was his voice, it sounded like it belonged to a young girl, maybe...eight years old. "What happened to me?!"

"We appear to have been turned into young girls. Strange." Zanzai stated logically, rising from his - her? - meditative position. Adjusting his robe, he pulled an acupuncture needle from his pocket (he'd been forgetful in his [now nonexistant] old age) and stuck it in the collar of his garment to keep it from falling off.

"Now then, perhaps we may discuss this logically? ...as much as a voice in my head turning me into a child of the opposite sex makes logical sense, at least."

"Is there a logical response to turning into a loli? I don't think there is one," said Alisa. "Oh fuck, my girlfriend is not going to be happy about this,"

"I believe the logical response is gaining an intense fear of pedophiles and squids." Zanzai said, bemused.

Eien had no idea what had just happened. One minute he was a young man, the next he was now a little girl who only stood a head over the counter. Scowling impressively, he gathered up his loose clothing and walked around the counter, stumbling a bit along the way.

That was when he noticed there were other girls there wrapped in way too big clothing. He put two and two together and got the inevitable four; somehow, for some daft reason, he and some of the other people in the bookstore got turned into little girls. Why? Well, wasn't that the universal question!

Catching the tail end of what the girl in monk's clothing said, Eien couldn't contain his ire much longer and snapped.

"Fear of pedophiles and squids? What the hell have you been reading?!" he hissed, glaring icily at the monk. "We've just been turned into little girls in some magical, fucked up way! Am I the only one who thinks that there is something completely wrong with this picture?!"

By the end of his sentence, Eien's voice had grown even more high-pitched and he snapped his mouth shut when he realized it. Placing a hand over his mouth, he muffled the cursed he hissed and closed his eyes in horror. The last time he had lost control of his emotions like that was when he was a kid. He hated losing control.

Akio shakily got to her feet, quite understandably shocked that she was a little girl now. This sort of thing wasn't supposed to happen in real life. It was like something out of a manga he'd read once, although if it was like that manga, they had still ended up as the heroes.

She adjusted her way-too-big clothes and spoke up, addressing Zanzai. "You-" she winced at how high pitched her voice was now, "You said you heard a voice in your head when this happened, right? Did the rest of you hear it too?" She glanced around at everyone, and promptly came to the conclusion that she was the smallest one there. She wasn't sure why that mattered, after all, they were going to find out what happened and get turned back as soon as possible, right?

Pedophiles... and squids? What...? No no no, there was no way this was really happening, right? Izanagi looked down at his... herself again, taking in the shirt and pants that were now baggy enough that they were likely to fall off if she stood up unless held in place. It... it certainly didn't feel like a dream... Izangi tried to stand, and nearly lost her pants. She quickly caught them and stood up straight, looking around in what could best be summed up as panic. This was crazy. And there were other girls! Girls who were all similarly young and draped in clothes too big for them... they'd all been affected too, hadn't they? By that voice...

Wait, one of them was mentioning the voice!

"I-I heard it too!" Izanagi spoke up, wincing. Her... her voice certainly fit her body now, that was for sure.

"Is there a chance that whatever it was is listening to us at the moment?" said Alisa.

She looked up at the ceiling, and began to yell.

"Hey! All-Powerful-voice of lolification! I demand you turn us back this instant!" she said.

"The squids comment was a joke. I suppose the Japanese don't find that sort of humor funny." The Chinese man... girl shook her head. She stroked her chin, scratching at her now hairless face.

"The part I am most concerned about is that the voice stated we have potential... potential for what?"

Akio fidgeted with her clothes a bit, trying to get them into an easier to hold up arrangement, nearly losing her pants in the process. At Zanzai's words she looked thoughtful. "Well, in manga, when a mysterious voice says something like that it usually means we're the only ones with the right stuff to be heroes," she paused for a moment, "O-or we're the only ones the villain can sacrifice for their evil plan and we're helpless to do anything about it now."

Jinbei finally managed to fix all her clothes, and looked around. She couldn't really hear anything anyone was saying.

"I-I-I- I should go," She said, stuttering over her odd high-pitch voice. She didn't want to stay around all these girls, too many around at once. She found that she was... wait, she's a she! She felt around and...

She stumbled towards the door out. As she ran she accidentally let her clothes go and tripped over them dramatically, hitting a wall face first and falling back inside of the store. She grabbed her face, "Oowwwww...."

There's no time for in-depth explanations. I can only maintain this field for a short time longer.

"Ehh?! Wait, you..." slightly frantic, Izanagi looked around. Stuff hadn't looked this big since she'd been... ten years old. And even then, she was a little taller then when she was now when she'd naturally been ten. Also, she'd been male at that time, so that was certainly different.

"What are you talking about?"

Listen very closely: Something horrible is coming. You'll recognize it immediately when you see it. You, the ones we've been forced to change, are the only ones with potential. You are the only ones who can fight it.

"So... s-so you turned us into little girls!?"

It was unavoidable, and on behalf of all of us I apologize. When you see it, focus on a weapon on one will appear. I'll be able to explain more later, I can't maintain the field any longer. I'm sorry. I will speak with you again when I can.

Just then, everything around them unfroze.

Izanagi was left confused more then anything, and a bit upset. That didn't explain anything!

Jinbei stood up. and held his clothes close.

"Heheh... heheheh...." He looked at the other girls, and realised something.... they weren't little girls. They just looked like little girls.

THis made the appeal to them both more and less powerful. Less because they lost the innocence factor, and more because... it wouldn't be a bad thing to...

She shook her head. Apparently she had to save the world, so this was no time to think about such things, "Alright!" She declared, pumping a fist. This revealed her chest momentarily and she dropped to the floor, blushing absurdly.

"That shouldn't bother me so much, right? I wonder if the change altered our personalities a bit..." She thought to herself.

"W-wait! Come back!" Akio shouted. She looked around, baffled. What was that about weapons? And how were they supposed to fight like this?

She tried to walk, but tripped over her own pants, quickly finding herself facedown on the ground. "Oww...stupid pants."

She stood back up, noticing that her shirt seemed to be doing a pretty good job of keeping everything covered, even with her pants around her ankles. She blushed slightly at the thought. "I...I guess I don't really have a choice."

Wait...this isn't even my body, why the heck do I find that embarrassing!?

Eien scowled at the annoying voice that had the gall to change his life so suddenly. And in such a way that made him wonder when someone decided to throw him into a ridiculous manga plot.

"Changed into little girls, hearing voices in our heads, chosen to fight something," he muttered as he shucked off his pants, shoes, and work apron, leaving him in only his sweatshirt and boxer shorts which were both nearly falling off of him. "What next? Dancing pink elephants and getting jumped by Pedobear?"

It's safe to say that Eien was not in a pleasant mood.

"...anyone wanna try to make it to the nearest clothing store?" said Alisa.

She gestured to her overly-large clothing.

"I mean, I'd rather not have to fight whatever horrible, tentacled monstrosity comes after us butt-naked," she said.

Jinbei looked at the one who mentioned Tentacle Monsters, having finally joined the conversation, "Uhm... yeah... I agree about the clothes at least. Seems kinda silly..." she looked around, now watching out for any sign of a tentacle monster. It hadn't occurred to her she might get ....

She shivered, which resulted in an involuntarily cute result.
