Code Mystic: A New World

There was a King. This King truly and without exception owned everything on the planet of Earth.

This King stood upon his balcony, his short golden hair blowing in the breeze of the wind that blew at fifty stories up. From this spot that was his own, on this castle that was grander than any other, the King looked upon his glorious capital city of the world: Babylon.

This RP is set in a SteamFantasyClockPunk kind of world, where pretty much any tech and any magic can exist. There are many magic systems that have their own rules based on their own teachings and beliefs, and there are individuals with special powers. There are inventers who use all kinds of materials to create all kinds of technology.

Now, I say "Any", but you can in fact break my world if you have too much power, or bring in something that is too threatening to mankind (And other races) in general. I'll just be doing this on a case by case basis, since there is no such thing as a reliable scale to use. Though I can say for sure that reality benders, Mechas as big as a moon, Aliens(Most of the time), or space travel will all be denied. Well, space travel is an option but no farther than Mars, and no life exists on Mars currently (Most likely).

It is very easy to think that since your character never existed in this kind of world, they don't fit, but they can! Just like in the first Code Mystic, you simply have to change their backstory a bit to fill in the blanks. In a few cases, the backstory may change quite a bit, but even then they can be the same character in most if not all other regards.

In any case, hopefully everyone can follow these rules easily enough, ported over from the previous RP:

1. OCs are allowed due to how this setting works, but they'll be reviewed very closely to keep out sues and game breaking powers.
   
   
2. Power of any claimed character will be viewed carefully to make sure they can't just simply break the whole setting by being able to blow away the whole army. If you want to use a stronger character, you may have to nerf their powers a bit unfortunately. I'll have to base who's allowed as things go along, so bear with me since there is no reliable list, even if I were to try and make one.
   
   
3. Beings such as Shinigami(Bleach) who are spiritual in nature, where them being spirits isn't the main advantage they have (Some ghost characters can stay ghosts) will be played as if they were human, or at least touchable. This of course will require a bit of creativeness on the backstory, but we're all writers here anyway.
   
   
4. You can claim from ALMOST any source, but setting demands a bit of change, unfortunately. As I've said a few times, at this point I'm just beating it into your head to make sure you don't make a mistake and have to redo your character, the world is a weird place but is shaped similar to Earth (For the most part) (...Most likely, subject to change).

Name: Morgy Morgonson

Appearance: A large giant who could wear the universe as an earring. In fact, he does so. Other than these two differences, he looks about the same as his younger brother, Bigfoot.

Abilities: All abilities, including the ability to control non-fictional characters.

Personality: Calm and thoughtful most of the time, Morgy is a generally nice fellow. Becomes very party-hardy and much more outgoing when drunk.

Backstory: Once, he went to a party and got totally smashed. In fact, he got so drunk that the next morning he had a hangover so massive that it completely shattered his mind. Every mind and consciousness ever to exist in the past, future, and present is/was a shard of his own. His hangover eventually went away after the end of time (which was actually a just a few hours to Morgy). He has since become a bit more careful about getting drunk at parties.

Name: Hieda no Akyuu

Appearance: "Eh? But I did the research directly..."

Abilities: Absolutely nothing, aside from the ability to remember everything that previous "Children of Miare" recorded. This really isn't particularly useful.

Personality: Akyuu takes her position as a scribe and scholar very seriously. She wants to make sure everything she writes is accurate. However, there are some problems with this. For one thing, she is extremely gullible and tends to believe anything that people tell her, taking it as the truth even if it's an absurd lie. Akyuu also refuses to do direct research on things she finds frightening, and instead uses rumors and hearsay(again, not quite understanding that these are terrible sources of information). Sometimes this paints bad pictures of people in her articles. However, she's also a happy and pleasant child who doesn't have any ill will towards anyone, aside from fear at most.

Backstory: The Ninth "Child of Miare", Akyuu's duty is to record information, as much as she can. So far, she's tried fairly hard to do so and been fairly successful... only she has used rumors and lies as truth, not knowing an better.

Name: Satsuki Yumizuka

Appearance: I.. I'll do my best!

Abilities: She has a Reality Marble, Depletion Garden, which rapidly decreases the mana of the area where the Reality Marble is expanded. It drains and dissipates the mana in the environment rather than from a target.

Additionally, she is a vampire. Making her stronger and faster than normal humans, though she needs to drink the blood of humans in order to survive.

Personality: Satsuki tends to be very shy and timid with a minor inferiority complex. She has a huge crush on Tohno Shiki, but he never seemed to have noticed it. After getting infected by a vampire, she started having slightly blood thirsty tendencies where she'd kill indiscriminately to sate her hunger. However, she has been learning to control herself and pace her bouts of hunger.

Backstory: Yumizuka Satsuki started off as your teenage girl. However, on one fateful night in which she went out in hopes to spot Tohno Shiki at his rumored hang out spot, she was attacked by a vampire. Unlike most, who usually die when bitten, she was immediately turned into a vampire. One with an extraordinarily rare ability.

Name: Fiona Farwell

Appearance: "I'm not going to stand around and deal with you, baka!"

Abilities: Fiona has two main abilities. The first is simple, a basic magical manipulation of thermodynamics. While she can't freeze things or light them on fire unless they're already very vulnerable to freezing or ignition, but she can burn things if she focuses on a spot enough, or make them uncomfortably cold. The second ability is somewhat more complex. Fiona can form temporary magical contracts with others, if they agree to the conditions. The conditions being:

• The contracted must use the contractor as a source of mana.

• The contracted may not harm the contractor.

• The contracted must protect the contractor with their life.

• The contracted will die if the contractor dies.

The contract magic is sealed with a kiss to the forehead, in most cases. The temporary contracts can last a day at most, and the contracted usually gain a massive boost in power and regenerative capabilities, provided the contract was executed properly. There is also a permanent version of the contract, which makes it impossible for the contracted to die as long as the contractor is alive, but they must remain within a hundred feet of each other. Fiona has a high amount of mana, allowing her to supply anyone she contracts very well. However, overuse of her mana will cause her pain, and she will die if she completely runs out. The contracts are extremely difficult to break, even Fiona herself cannot void a permanent one, but magic designed to specifically break such contracts will do so.

Personality: Fiona is vocal. Mostly about things she doesn't like, or people she thinks are stupid. She is blunt and does not hesitate to talk about how she feels about such things or people, which usually includes a lot of different words for "stupid". She is somewhat spoiled due to her rich background, and she has an incredibly short temper. This occasionally results in explosions of physical violence, but it's usually just a lot of yelling. And when it does end up with physical violence, she generally feels bad about it even if she doesn't show it. Deep down, she isn't so bad and can actually be pretty nice and kind. Deep down. Fiona is sensitive about her lack of a chest and her all-around small size. Bringing it up will make her angry, teasing her about it is liable to make her deeply upset. This also results in her being jealous of those who have a more mature body type.

Backstory: Fiona was born into the rich Farwell family. For most of her life, she was spoiled with toys and other possessions by her loving parents, but she was left with very little social interaction. This has lead to her current attitudes and lack of acceptance of people, as she doesn't know how to deal with people attempting to get closer to her.

Abilities: Superhuman strength and speed, as well as an enchanted clergy outfit which heightens his defensive capabilities. Carries a set of Black Keys with him at all times which he uses like MOTHERFUCKING WOLVERINE
Personality: Kirei is calm and reserved at all times, something which gives people around him the chills. Nothing seems to spark more than a mild reaction from him, and it's hard to tell what he's thinking or feeling most of the time. Kirei is prone to sarcasm and has a sharp wit, one unfortunately dulled by his almost eternal deadpan. He's loyal to his King, although this doesn't stop him from getting his digs in now and again.
Backstory: He has been the King's advisor for as long as anyone can remember. Beyond that, it is a mysteryyy~

Appearance: Bow before your king, lowly peons.

Abilities: Possessing the massive amount of mana output of Hayate and Reinforce and healing and regeneration capabilities of Shamal, Dearche has the power to back up her boasts. Her devices Yersinia Kreuz and Tome of the Purple Sky, are very similar to Hayate's. Except her Tome lacks the ability to copy spells or suck people into the book. Instead she relies on her own pool of spells that she based on Hayate's.

Personality: Dearche is vain, arrogant, brash, and hot-tempered. She believes herself to be King of all and everyone else is her lowly servants. Despite this, she seems to deeply care for her retainers, Levi and Stern, and her Sovereign, Yuri. Harming them is the quickest way to invoke Dearche's wrath.

Backstory: Once another program hidden in the depths of the book of darkness, she and her retainers managed to escape one day and tried to reek havoc on the land. After their first defeat, they took time to regenerate their bodies before returning once again. Except all they wanted this time was to revive their sovereign. However, things didn't go as planned and once again havoc was reeked. This forced her and her retainers to join the sides of their ex enemies to stop and save their sovereign. With their combined efforts, they were able to save the day once again, and the Materials and their Sovereign decided to live the rest of their days helping people. Albeit, Dearche does it reluctantly.

Abilities: Stern possess the long range abilities of Nanoha, the melee power of Vita, and the endurance of Zafira. Her device Luciferion is similar to Nanoha's Raising Heart, however Stern has a fire element for her spells and her device will flame up when used.

Personality: Stern is normally very calm and polite, never the less won't hesitate to attack someone who stands in the way of her King's goals. She is the most mature of the Materials being the symbol of wisdom and as such becomes easily exasperated by her comrades antics. She even manages the occasional snarking at their expense.

Appearance: Can we play? Can we? Let's play! Pleeeeaaaaase?

Abilities: Combining Fate's speed and Signum's weapon finesse, Levi is probably the best combatant of the three. Her device Vulnificus is much like Fate's Bardiche. Her abilities are probably most similar to the original, though the color of her magic tends to be aqua blue instead of the yellow of Fate's magic.

Personality: Levi is childish and outgoingl, always looking for someone to "play" with her. She can be a bit dim and easily fooled or bribed, especially when candy is involved. She has a bad habit of getting too into her fights which makes her come off as blood thirsty, but she's really just a good girl who doesn't know how to hold back.

Name: Kurosawa Kagami

Age: Well, she's been a retainer of the Farwell family since before Fiona's birth, yet doesn't appear to have aged a day. She's actually several centuries old, at the least, and misses the days where people would start wars for no good reason.

Gender: Female

Species: Human. Well, to start with. It's... hard to say. Demonic insect swarm with a human soul?

Appearance: "Behave."

Abilities:

• Insect Control: She can exert control over them. In the case of opposing control, they'll probably keep going back and forth--but anything under the surface of her skin will never submit to another. Good for her, that.
  
• Regeneration: Short of torching her, which she's been VERY careful to avoid, the only means to kill Kagami quickly is to obliterate most of her body in one go. Insects are everywhere. Even if she's not able to be as selective in a pinch as she would like, there's no shortage of raw material.
  
• Implausible Flexibility: She can stretch, too. Given that, beneath various surfaces (anything a person could reasonably get at seems normal), which quickly repairs itself unless severely damaged, it's (to start with) a host of scarab beetles and leeches... just shift things around a bit and bingo. Severely confuses enemies.
  
• Demon-Possessed Nodachi: It's exactly what it says. It improves the wielder's physical capabilities, at the cost of forcing the body to move with forces it's not meant to take. Not a problem, here. Instead, the demon settles for trying to corrupt her and take things over... but she replaces things far too often for that. It's a pissed-off demon for sure and it can be seen in any silver surface or silvered mirror.
  The sword also dissipates some of the force in magical attacks if used to block. This is actually linked to the degree of corruption: the more that Kagami allows it to corrupt before replenishing her swarm, the more the demon can manifest. If she leaves it up to the line, it can also fire somewhat intimidating energy blasts, though it can do that to a degree before reaching the last point. Of course, injury slowly whittles away this ability, since the corrupted insects get replaced with fresh ones.
  
• Swordsmanship: Combines with the above stuff.

Personality: A playful tease, though aside from a tendency to panic around sources of fire she's not really got any other flaws at her job. Loves to fight, hence why she became a bodyguard, but wishes people would hurry up and make attempts on Fiona's life already. Something of a perfectionist, she still practices a lot and is exceedingly picky about certain things.

Backstory: She was once a normal girl with a strange affinity for things people didn't notice or were revulsed by. This turned out to be the first indication of an ability to control them. One thing lead to another, and...

Species: Bakeneko/Nekomata

Appearance: "The kitten's my baby..."

Abilities: Shapeshifting between human and cat--or just stopping halfway--talking to the dead (as well as, unsurprisingly, seeing them), and summoning ghostly fire. It tickles.

Personality: Flighty and absent-minded, Nekomi is prone to switching between first and third person in the course of a sentence and can be easily distracted by putting something shiny, something edible, or a ball near her. At least she's more friendly than most of her kind, tending to wait until people are dead before deciding they might be edible. She prefers, fish, though, and after an unfortunate incident the first time she tried, has sworn off eating humans.

Damn not-quite-dead vampires...

Backstory: Grew up in a decaying building, being pretty much a feral cat. She gained an owner for a brief period but, when he decided that renovating it would be too much of a hassle, she went back to living with herself. Apart from becoming more intelligent and gaining a kitten, she's not really done much.

Misc.: As a cat, her eyes change colour... to blue. It's not entirely surprising that her hearing's still incredibly poor as a human, is it? Either way, she mishears things a lot.

Name: Darc

Species: Deimos Wannabe Half-Deimos

Appearance: I will save the deimos!

Abilities: Darc as a half-deimos is physically stronger than most humans as well as able to cast powerful wind magic when he has spirits stones in hand. He recently took up the sword and while an amateur in it's use, he uses his deimos heritage to more than make up for it. Darc also has two traveling companions who help him during fights. A young girl he summons from a bottle and legendary beast known as Pyron who doubles as his mode of transportation.

• Choco - A magic user who can use various elemental spells as long as she has enough spirit stones. The link provides a video of most of her attacks, but I mainly linked for appearance purposes. There really is no good art of her.
  
  
• Pyron - The legendary creature of the sky, Pyron is a long thought extinct species. It's capable of changing it's sizes and carrying many people at once as it flies across the world. He can also shoot balls of magic from his mouth, it's properties and order of attack changes depending on what he eats. Would you believe it used to be an adorable ferret creature?
  

Personality: He appears to be a broody and temperamental young man, having every right to be after all the persecution he endured. However, he can be surprisingly compassionate in his own way and trusting to a fault, to the point where he forgave someone who made an attempt at his life... twice. Because of his experiences, he believes power is the only way he'll ever get the Deimos or anyone else to listen to him, so he seeks it out, gathering followers and searching out anything that can increase his power. He doesn't like humans very much and can come off slightly antagonistic to some of them because he always felt he and his father was abandoned by his human mother, not knowing the whole story.

Name: Ryuuzaki Kotori

OC or Canon Source: OC

Gender: Female

Species: Human

Appearance: Ryuuzaki is rather tall for a Japanese girl, standing taller than even most of boys of her age. As befits her traditionalist tastes, she generally only wears kimonos, her favourite being a lilac one with a beautiful floral print. Her somewhat muscular and boyish frame is off-put by the aura of grace and elegance that seems to flow from her, causing no-one to doubt her femininity despite her mannerisms. She has waist length and perfectly managed dark purple hair and somewhat dull brown eyes. At all times she carries what she claims to be the cursed sword Daikyouken, Blade of Calamity, although it's clear to everyone that it's just a simple bokken... Right?

Abilities: Insanely skilled with her sword. She practices Shinken Densetsu style kenjutsu, an ancient style mostly forgotten by the world that holds great power in its techniques. Most notably, she is able to use the legendary Tsubame Gaeshi technique. She's also generally atheletic all around, and possessed of far greater strength and agility than one would expect from a regular human. She wields the cursed sword Daikyouken, Blade of Calamity, what looks like a simple wooden katana but is in fact nigh-indestructable and capable of slicing through solid rock. As a cursed weapon, it is able to harm spirits, ghosts and other incorporeal entities. Ryuuzaki is also a somewhat skilled cook; whilst she's not exactly the best cook around, her food is still usually delicious and edible.

Personality: Ryuuzaki sees herself as a modern day samurai of sorts, and is something of a traditionalist as her clothing choices seem to imply. She applies herself to any task she performs with utmost seriousness, and can come off a little intimidating at first, but she is a well meaning, honest and loyal to a fault. She dreams of becoming a "Samurai of the People", not bound to a single lord but pledged to help mankind as a whole, and as such tries her hardest to trust the word of those she meets completely, her staunch belief in the better nature of people often coming off as a naivety at odds with her otherwise serious demeanour. The complete trust she has in people also stems from a need to become strong; the lone wolf never thrives as the pack does, after all, and she realises she will never become stronger on her own. Her urge to prove herself sometimes causes her to act rashly and impetuously, and she will run off to fight by the side of someone in trouble without a second thought. Since she could walk she's been trained in kenjutsu, and will show some level of frustration at anyone who mistakes it for kendo. All in all, she seems as though she was born a few centuries too late, and would've been much more at home during the time of the samurai; she's not at all comfortable with the modern world and finds it difficult operating most appliances. She can come off as somewhat tomboyish, and were this being written in Japanese she would refer to herself using masculine pronouns. Ryuuzaki hates her given name, Kotori, and prefers to be called by her family name, Ryuuzaki.

Backstory: Ryuuzaki was born to a poor family, who somehow always managed to be thrifty enough to maintain ownership of a dojo, which she intends to inherit when she comes of age. Her family are traditionalists, and celebrate the old ways of the samurai and their bushido code, and Ryuuzaki wouldn't have them any other way. Her family were tasked to help keep the creatures of the night at bay and protect the regular, mundane people from the threats they weren't supposed to know about. Currently, however, she has been travelling the world as a rurouni, applying her swordskills where they are needed most.

Misc.: Um... I guess she also plays the ryuteki, and has a wonderful singing voice.

Name: Al Azif

Species: Grimmoir (book of eldritch lore that takes human form)

Abilities: Has great magical power, and can use various magical weapons and spells based on the creatures mentioned in her pages. However, she can't use her abilities very well without a master. Her main ability is to enhance the abilities of the sorceror using her. Several of her pages are also missing; and her deus machina (summonable giant robot) was recently destroyed.

Personality: Despite her age, she can sometimes act very childish and immature. Tends to use her master's as "spare parts"; yet despite this respects them; and feels guilty for how she's treated them. Is driven by a desire to destroy the forces of evil; a desire that she herself doesn't quite understand.

Backstory: Was written a long time ago by a man named Alhazred. When she awoke, he was already dead. Since then, she's been fighting evil with help from various sorcerors; though none of them seems to last very long. In recent years; she's tried to fight a powerful opponent without help from a sorceror, and got her mecha destroyed and her pages scattered as a result. Since then, she's been looking for a new master.

Name: Toyoshima Keiko

Gender: Female

Species: Human

Appearance: The brown-haired one.

Abilities: Able to draw forth Gray Judgement, a massive eight-foot-long two-handed sword from this symbol(which she can cause to appear on the ground or in mid-air). Gray Judgement is light in Keiko's hands, and does not appear "real" to observers, its unnatural nature displayed by its strange appearance. Keiko is very fast and light on her feet. She can also use her magic circle to produce other items, like knives or brooms. She can even fire her knives from it. Aside from this, she is unskilled in magic.

Personality: Keiko is a somewhat quiet and serious girl for the most part. However, getting her to talk will reveal that she has a tendency to ramble, and sometimes go into very odd subjects when she does. She takes her work seriously, and even has a pride in her ability as both a combatant and a maid. Keiko is very patient and willing to deal with most things, though exasperation is not an alien emotion to her. She is afraid of the dark, something she is deeply embarrassed by and would never admit to.

Backstory: Childhood friends with Akira, her friend became a vampire at a young age. The end result is that she's used to waking up somewhat more light-headed then usual. Though she and the other maid entered the same profession, they are currently between jobs.

Name: Mitsuru Sanada

Age: Even he's lost count at this point.

Gender: Male

Species: Human

Appearance: Totally just looking at him through a fishtank...or he's got an underwater room in his house, it's not like he has to worry about drowning.

Abilities: Mitsuru possesses perfect regeneration and total immortality. Because of this, he was able to train his body to beyond what a normal human could hope to accomplish in terms of speed and strength. As a result, he is able to run at speeds up to 70 miles an hour. He also has enough strength to lift a small car. As for combat skills? Well, he was infamous for his prowess in armed and unarmed combat, but that was ages ago, surely he’s out of practice now. Due to having spent so much time enjoying the finer things the world has to offer, Mitsuru can accurately evaluate the age of a bottle of wine after one sip.

Personality: Mitsuru seems to be bored most of the time. Possibly due to the fact that he's been around for so long that he's probably seen something similar to any event that occurs and the personality of any person he meets. That said, when he finds someone interesting, he can become rather flirty.

Backstory: Not much is known about Mitsuru's past and he's certainly not likely to change that. There are two main pieces of information that he's willing to divulge, although even then he's vague about them. At some point in the past, he angered a powerful witch, although he's not willing to say how and was cursed with immortality as a result. Also, he makes reference to a certain event making him lose all interest in combat, rumour has it that he was sick of seeing everyone he was close to killed or that he simply got tired of a life full of nothing but death and destruction, others say it's a combination of the two.

Name: Gin Ichimaru

Appearance: "Bye bye~"

Abilities: Except y'know, replace spiritual pressure with mana or something and it doesn't actually cause people to become incapacitated unless they're just that terrified.

Personality: Gin always has a smile on his face and is exceptionally polite. Although a large amount of his politeness seems to just be mocking and he has a tendency to make sarcastic remarks. His demeanor and appearance tend to make it hard for people to trust him. He seems to be aware of the effect he has on people and uses it for his own amusement. He enjoys spending his free time people watching, although this is more than likely hunting for people to troll.

Backstory: As a child, Gin found a girl collapsed and starving on the street. After giving her some food, the pair became friends and Gin invited the girl to live with him. When the girl decided to join the Gotei 13, Gin followed her.

Misc.: As you may have noticed from the age and species sections, Gin's not a shinigami. In case anyone cares, I figured I'd put an explanation for stuff. Basically, the Gotei 13 still exists but is more of a military police force than an army of grim reapers. Zanpakuto are basically the same. Magical swords with abilities and spirits of their own that reflect their original wielder's personality. Um, yeah, I think that's about it.

Abilities: His Castle in Babylon holds a treasury of weaponry beyond all comprehension, holding all treasures he took from the world in ancient times. These weapons hold an seemingly infinite amount of ways to instantly kill or tear apart defense, as well as a massive number of other effects and treasures, some of which are not weapons. Gilgamesh has a unique ability to access anything within his castle through "The Gate of Babylon". With this, he can in fact materialize and shoot all the weapons at his disposal at once, no matter where he may be. He can make them appear one at a time, or even access things in his castle such as wine or food, or he can materialize hundreds at a time. He is also technically immortal, but can be killed if an attack is meant to kill. By that, he is immune to death under any circumstance unless the death he is provided with was intended by someone else to kill him. He lacks any noteworthy physical ability, beyond simply being "The best a human can achieve".

One could also point out that being King of Everything has it's own perks and advantages, though it does come with the occassional rebellion or hundred.

Personality: Egotistical to the point of it being a weakness, as he refuses to go all out against anyone who isn't worthy. Also nobody is worthy, ever, of his true all out. Except that one time, where that one guy tried to take the world and almost succeeded. That guy was worthy. Anyway, Gilgamesh has no issue with killing whoever he wants to kill, has a harem of both men and women, and declares that there is not a single thing in the world that is not his. However, it was during incredibly ancient times that he had already given up taking all of it and putting it in his castle, instead deeming the planet itself his territory and everything in it was his without question, including the people, and that everyone should consider themselves lucky that he considers them worthy to look upon and let them look upon him. All of this describes his Personality perfectly, I should say.

Backstory: What isn't already mentioned is that, on his quest to obtain immortality, he did in fact obtain this world's second most perfect form of it. He then went on to make sure the world at large was his, and eventually discovered all lands. This obviously changed history as we know it, and most religion was stamped out for a short period. A large number of religions sprung up again or anew, however, but he let them go from that point forward, with the never-enforced rule that no God shall be worshipped above him.

In truth, there was a point after a few hundred years of living where he decided he didn't really care if people worshiped someone else or followed some other obviously-lesser-than-him king or queen, simply due to finding it more entertaining to watch people destroy themselves. He found such pleasure in watching the world outside of Babylon squirm with each other and occasionally attack him that he let this go on even until this day.

Appearance: She looks ready to cause trouble, no?

Abilities: Similar to above, she has access to Gate of Babylon. However, she is significantly weaker so she cannot access it as heavily as her father, limited to pulling out only one thing at once, and up to two things can exist at a time. She has also been told by her father that if she ever uses Ea or Enkidu, that she would be in significant amounts of trouble, so she never makes use of either one in fear of her father. She has impressive amounts of agility, but is not very strong.

Personality: Egotistical like her father Gilgamesh, but not to quite as much extreme. Ena has a Tsundere quality at times, but more often just looks down on anyone she doesn't find worthy as if they were trash. It's much easier to obtain her respect than it is to get her Father's, though, and if you really work for it you may even catch a glimpse of her dere side. Maybe.

Backstory: Born of one of Gilgamesh's wives, he decided to give her a fond name: Ena. Ena has spent her life enjoying the world and people and things, finding the most fun in messing with people in various ways. Having the most powerful father on the planet really helps with trolling people. She causes all kinds of mischief and is surprisingly good at getting away with it most times. Her father gets rather exasperated with her various messing around, and usually gives her various minor punishments if she does something that is embarrassing for him. He never punishes her very seriously, except when she used Enkidu to hold someone down. She will never again touch that or Ea for as long as she lives.

Name: Tiir Rumibul

Abilities: Tiir has the Mystic Eyes Īno Dwōe which allows him to devour any magical or living substance in moments. He uses the energy taken to improve his physical abilities to absurd levels. On top of that, his initial physical abilities are very impressive, to the point he can remove a mans arm with his bare hands and then jump and land on a nearby tree, all before the other man notices losing his arm.

Personality: Tiir is protective of children, and the oppressed. He's kind in general, and will help those in need. He tries not to use his powers very often, as they tend to scare people. "Eating" energy is necessary, however, so he manages to get ahold of at least some magic every day. He doesn't eat people unless they are someone he deems needs to die.

Backstory: Tiir grew up alone, on the streets. He was an orphan with nobody to call his own family, until he found Ryner one day. The two of them hit it off rather well, along with Ferris who showed up a bit later. The three of them were like siblings, and protected each other and took care of each other.

As an adult, he decided to start up an orphanage where he takes care of children who lived on the street. Most of the kids love him a good deal. By an odd coincidence, all of them seem to have some kind of power.

Name: Ryner Lute

Gender: Male

Species: Human; has a demon inside him.

Appearance: I wonder where a good napping spot is...

Abilities: He is naturally talented in magic, hand-to-hand combat, arts of assassination, ancient lore, languages and symbols, and the bearer of Alpha Stigma, an ocular ability which grants him the ability to analyze various forms of magic and copy it. Alpha Stigma bearers when activating their powers, have a pentagram with reddish hue appearing over their pupils.

Ryner also has a demon sealed inside him and when unleashed could potentially make him go on a murderous rampage. However, he seems to have a good handle on it and almost never lets himself lose control.

Personality: Ryner Lute is a very lazy, unmotivated person. Often preferring to spend the afternoon napping than doing anything productive. Despite his seemingly lazy and uncaring attitude, the man has a lot of insecurities about his status as a "monster". He tries very hard to keep from getting close to people, due to his fear of one day harming them on accident.

Backstory: Same as Tiir's, really. Ryner really likes his two friends Tiir and Ferris, like a brother and sister. He helps Tiir sometimes with the orphanage, but spends the rest of his days sleeping away without a care in the world.

Contract Magic: Contract Magic is a complex variant of magic. Some people with high amounts of mana and certain magical traits are able to use it, but a complex spell must be preformed in order to allow them to use it.

*Functions: The user can form temporary magical contracts with others, if they agree to the conditions. The conditions being:

• The contracted must use the contractor as a source of mana.
  
  
• The contracted may not harm the contractor.
  
  
• The contracted must protect the contractor with their life.
  
  
• The contracted will die if the contractor dies.

The contract magic is sealed with some kind of symbolic gesture. This can be anything from a kiss on the forehead to a handshake. The Contractor may choose what seals their contracts, as long as it is somehow representative of establishing a connection. The temporary contracts can last a day at most, and the contracted usually gain a massive boost in power and regenerative capabilities, provided the contract was executed properly. There is also a permanent version of the contract, which makes it impossible for the contracted to die as long as the contractor is alive, but they must remain within a hundred feet of each other. Most Contract Magic users have a high amount of mana, allowing them to supply anyone they contracts very well. However, overuse of their mana will cause them pain and exhaustion, and there is a risk of death. The contracts are extremely difficult to break, even the contractors themselves cannot void a permanent one, but magic designed to specifically break such contracts will do so.

*Process: The process of gaining contract magic is long and complex. One must be predisposed to being able to utilize it, and they must have high amounts of mana in order to support contracts safely. A team of magicians, specially trained for such a purpose, are brought together. The usual number is five, though theoretically a single person could preform the spell to give the subject contract magic. However, this would be extremely dangerous. After the spell is properly executed, the new Contractor chooses their seal(by mentally selecting it) and is fully able to form contracts with anyone who agrees to being the contracted.

Name: Krillin

OC or Canon Source: Dragonball Z

Age: 26

Gender: Male

Species: Human

Appearance: "Hehe, I'm pretty strong, actually."

Abilities: Flight, Super Strength and Speed, and the ability to shoot ki blasts. He knows the Kamehameha, a particularly strong wave of ki, and his unique attack is the Kienzan (Destructo Disk), a disk of ki that can cut through pretty much anything. He can also take a beating, and knows martial arts (Turtle School, to be specific).

Personality: Though he can get nervous in a fight, Krillin is always willing to help his friends, and is good-hearted. He is brave, and always willing to try and joke around to relieve tension. He's also very determined, training hard to become as strong as he can.

Backstory: Originally a monk, he was picked on and bullied, so he went to train with Master Roshi, the dirty old man of the Turtle School of martial arts. After learning to wield ki, he went on quite a few adventures with newfound friends, and still lives with Roshi at Kame House today. Commonly, he and his friends search for mystical orbs called the Dragon Balls, which will grant whoever finds all 7 a wish.

Name: Miyamoto Akira

Gender: Female

Species: Vampire. Not a particularly interesting type, either: she's got the bloodlust, burns easily... and about the only interesting gains lie in a new-found ability to talk with wolves, bats, rats... y'know, the things people always associate with darkness. She'd also gravitate towards being nocturnal if allowed.

Appearance: The red-headed one.

Abilities: Vast magical power. When I say vast, I mean vast. No matter what she's done so far, she's never managed to exhaust her reserves. The problem is that she can't actually control it to any degree of usefulness. At best, Akira can create the structure of a spell, funnel as little magic into it as possible... and hope that it achieves the intended effect rather than disintegrating into untamed magical backlash.

And she's sick of her clothing turning into various sticky desserts when spells go wrong.

Personality: Fiery. Not in the tsundere way, either; Akira just doesn't seem to calm down and stay quiet most of the time. Energetic, easily irritated, and prone to attempting to get revenge for the most petty of things. It tends to go wrong.

Backstory: Childhood friends with Keiko, she became a vampire at a young age. The end result is that her family and any close friends are used to waking up somewhat more light-headed than normal. Though she and the other maid entered the same profession, they are currently between jobs.

Misc: Is incredibly clumsy, possibly as a side effect of having that much power. Any time she runs, she's going to fall over at least once... and she runs a lot

Name: Ashley

Appearance:


Abilities: Knows a large number of spells, including plant manipulation, a spell to turn people into spoons and others. She can also brew some rather potent potions. Unfortunately, her spells and potions don't always turn out as intended.

Personality: Ashley is extremely serious, showing little to no emotion most of the time. She doesn't have time for "girly things" like combing her hair or playing with dolls (so that bunny's probably a voodoo doll). Doesn't deal well with things not going her way and has a rather short fuse (having turned her teacher into a spoon at some point in the past, probably either because she was told to stop mixing potions in class or just to see if she could). She doesn't have many friends and...doesn't seem to be very good at making new ones ("But I think you're nice, and maybe we could be friends!...And if you say no, you're toast."). She has a bit of an ego and seems to think that one day she'll conquer the world.

Backstory: Not much is known about Ashley's past. She lives alone in a haunted mansion. Well, alone with Red, but he's more like a tool or potion ingredient than a person. Also there's that talking book, but again, more of a tool than a person.

And her trusty familiar/wand/broom...

Name: Red

Appearance:


Abilities: He can turn into a magic wand or a witch's broom for Ashley's use.

Personality: Red really cares about his master. Although this might be out of fear, since she's used him as a potion ingredient as a punishment for screwing up in the past. Not that it would take something so drastic to scare Red. Ashley created a giant piranha plant? He's terrified. Ashley's in a bad mood? He's cowering. Ashley's wearing a cat mask? He's running for cover. Otherwise, he's fairly cheerful.

Backstory: Not much is known. Presumably hung out in Hell doing low ranking demon things before Ashley summoned him. Since then, he's basically done whatever she wants him to or faced the consequences.

Got bored, noticed we had no villains and saw a picture on danbooru I wanted to use so here these two are. It's a work in progress so I'll finish it later.

Name: Frederic Bernkastel

Age: Really, really old

Gender: Male

Species: Wizard

Appearance: The blue haired guy

Abilities: He is the Wizard of miracles, once a being who reached godly levels in terms of power. However, over time as the planets output of mana gradually decreased, so did Frederic's power. Instead of reaching the reality warping levels of his past, he is very limited in the miracles he can create. All miracles he preforms must have a 1% probability of happening naturally. He cannot do the impossible, like turn water into wine. And the bigger the miracle, the longer the casting time. Causing a major disaster like an earthquake or the like would take two days of casting at the least. Trying to actually kill someone with that power? There are rules in their magical by laws that strictly forbid it. And despite his general attitude, he tends to obediently follow these rules. Possibly because of a certain member of the magical council that terrifies even him.

This isn't Frederic's only means of magical power, however. The boy can also summon a black scythe that can attack on a conceptual level. He also has an army of blood thirsty cats that usually trail behind him. Not to mention his own ability to shapeshift into a cat.

Personality: Frederic can come off as cold and uncaring to the point that most would call him emotionless. However, make him angry or put him in the mood to troll, then the mask comes off and he either gives a sinister grin or maniacal, almost deranged laughter. He likes to play the part of the villain and will make people hate him just to make things more interesting. The only thing to ever humanize the boy is his relationship with Mugamma and even that is twisted and sadistic at best.

Appearance: The blonde

Abilities: He is the Wizard of Certainty and like Frederic, has had his god-like powers diminish greatly. Where he could make an event always certainly happen, now he can only change the probability to make it more likely to happen. Because it is only changing probability, there is still the chance that whatever it is still won't happen. And he is limited to events that have a reasonable probability of happening in the first place. He cannot create miracles, so when changing probability, an effort has to made to make it happen. Not trying after being given the power of his certainty will ultimately make you fail.

Like Frederic, this is not his only means of magic. Mu has an affinity for candy and can summon it in great amounts as well turn himself into a piece of candy. Eating him while he's candy is ill advised though, especially if you dislike said piece of candy painfully coming out your belly button.

Personality: Mu is a wild card, unpredictable and excitable. He does what interests him, every action being a silly whim of his. One minute he could be on your side because it's entertaining, the next he could be on the opposing side for the same reason. He's flamboyant and silly, the type to be the life of the party. Even so, he has a bit of a sadist streak in him that can rival even Frederic's. He also has an almost obsessive and twisted love for the other Wizard. Death threats between the two might as well be considered a type of foreplay for them. Even so, he deeply and truly loves the boy, even if his ways of showing affection are beyond twisted.

Abilities: I HAVE NERFED HIM. Yeah, I decided that he would be completely useless in his ordinary human form, yet hideously overpowered in his Demi-God form.

Kefka, due to infusion with Esper genes, is capable of casting spells. To name a few, you have Firaga (An explosion of fire), Graviga (Which can deal serious damage to an opponent due to shifting gravity) and Ultima (His ultimate attack that surpasses magic defence and does tons of damage). These aren't his only spells, however; he has a huge variety of spells that would take ages to list.

(If this is too OP'ed, I'll be happy to restrict him to the likes of elemental and healing spells)

Personality: Personality? Kefka is a contrast to 95% of video game villains everywhere. Whilst they are usually cold, evil and working towards their own goals that may or may not be seen as acceptable should the player be in their shoes, Kefka is what he looks like. An insane (And this has been proven) jester that is loud, rude and has no motivation other than destruction. Preferably the destruction of his enemies, but you'll suffice.

Misc.: He's... not very physically strong. Oh, he's insane, too. Kefka is bad at rationing magic too, leading him to exhaust his reserves quite quickly very often. Once this happens, he has little in the way of physical defences.

Name: Tachibana Akio

Appearance: Akio is tall, coming in at over six foot. He has messy brown hair with bushy sideburns (or as he puts it "THE KIND OF HAIR THAT ONLY A TRUE HERO CAN PULL OFF!"), brown eyes and a tan. He tends to wear suits pretty much all of the time as "a teacher must look respectable at all times". He is rather well muscled, suggesting a bit of time invested in the gym. His mecha, which currently remains unfinished and unnamed is roughly ten metres tall, is mostly red, is humanshaped and carries a large energy rifle and what appears to be an oversized combat knife...hilt.

Abilities: Um...he's got degrees in teaching, business and accounting? Oh, he's also a bit of a tinkerer, as the mech he's been building in his garage would suggest. Other than that, he's totally normal.

Personality: A hot blooded young man. Akio is very passionate about two things: his teaching career and mecha. Why didn't he just sign up for the military to become a pilot? Because the hero has to have a custom model of course! Also because he's not exactly a fan of the military lifestyle. And because he doesn't want to abandon his students.

Backstory: He was born, grew up, went to university and became a teacher. At some point in his childhood he started work on his mecha, but other than that, his life's been fairly normal.

Name: Uchiha Itachi

Appearance:


Abilities: Fire, illusions, REALLY good eyesight, clones and a giant suit of armour. (I...haven't actually nerfed him at all, I just don't want to write out that massive abilities section again)

Personality: PACIFIST. Pacifist pacifist pacifist. Did I mention he doesn't like fighting? Okay, good. Now that that's out of the way, Itachi is kind and compassionate, especially when his brother is involved. Tends to act emotionless when FORCED into a fight (those things he doesn't like, that you would have to repeatedly antagonise him for him to fight back) and will try to finish it as soon as possible. He enjoys visiting Japanese style cafes.

Backstory: Itachi was always a genius, even amongst his clan. He had a good childhood with his younger brother, Sasuke. However, one day, he was ordered to kill his entire clan because they had plans to perform a coup d'etat. Itachi carried this order out almost perfectly, leaving only his younger brother alive. After this, he fled his home country as a villain.
