Re: The Wizarding World
Hymie didn't have much trouble with bringing the broom to his hand; or getting it into the air. After all, his grandma had already taught him some of the basics of flying.
He heard someone talking about blood purity; and glared in their direction. He considered telling the girl off; but decided against it. He was too cool to waste his time arguing with an idiot.
Instead, he turned his attention towards Bart. The boy seemed to be having trouble controlling his broom.
"Hey, homie, you want some help..."
Before Hymie could really do anything to help; Bart was suddenly flung off his broom; landing on one of the Gryffindors.
Hymie winced; that definitely looked painful. He flew towards Bart.
"Hey, you alright bro?" he asked, sounding genuinely concerned.
He hoped Bart hadn't broken any bones.
--
Laura had begun to take notes; resisting the urge to nod off. This was the most boring class that she had ever attended. One would expect a history class taught by a ghost would at least be mildly interesting.
She turned towards Arcruss, who looked every bit as bored as she was.
"Think anyone would notice if we ditched this class?" she said, half-jokingly.

Jennifer shrugged, and flew back to her spot. It was clear this girl would need more proof, after all how could a muggle born even comprehend what's so great about being pure blood? Besides, it seemed there was someone else who managed to mess up even worse than her roommate, landing directly on the other boy. She frowned at how sad the year she joined seemed to be.
Bart groaned loudly, his pain being pretty clear, "I do believe- agh, that I have not participated in such an abhorrent mishap in my life," he attempted standing, though he seemed to have trouble. He managed it but it seemed like he had avoided use of his right arm. His expression showed that he was trying very hard not to show how much the pain was getting to him, but he simply didn't have the strength to deal with this like Will did. He was supporting his right arm with his left arm, though it didn't appear broken exactly.

Will helped Bart to his feet with his good arm and then rotated his arms, popping the joint back in in an excruciating bout of pain. "Argh," he hissed as Hooch approached.
"Are you okay?" she enquired, eyeing Will's shoulder. He raised the hand and gave her a thumbs up.
"Just wonderful," he confirmed through gritted teeth. She then moved on to try to usher Bart towards the hospital wing whilst declaring that the lesson was over.
"If one of those brooms moves an inch I'll have the culprit licking the trophy room clean," she promised. Will frowned, shrugged and winced, and then left towards the castle in a large crowd of Ravenclaws and Gryffindors.
"So, Maxine, excellent broom skills there," Will commented loudly with a trademark grin plastered across his face whilst massaging his injured shoulder. "I bet I'll be seeing that broom on Saturday night."

"Shut up, you," Maxine said, lightly punching his good shoulder. Her bout with the broom was embarrassing and she completely blamed the broom in question, "If you do see it, break it in half for me."
She placed her hands behind her back and looked curiously around her, "I guess we got some free time till our next lesson," A sly grin, "How about we do some exploring?"

"Most likely..... invisibility cloak would be nice." Arcruss replied taking joke seriously. He was already looking a way out from this hell called history class.
He gave out slight groan and sped up his writing to catch up." I swear, next time i'll think up a plan out from this class." The time felt like it was stretched and the history class felt like it would just go on and on and on until bell rang. "Freedom......!" Arcruss whispered in joy.

Re: The Wizarding World
Hymie considered following Bart to the hospital wing; but decided against it. He doubted that would do Bart any good. Plus, now seemed like a good time to explore the castle.
In fact, he overheard two of his fellow classmates talking about doing exactly that. He could probably tag along with them.
"Yo, I couldn't help overhearing that you want to explore the castle," he said. "Mind if I chill with you for a while?"
--
Laura turned to Arcruss.
"Ah well, no sense ditching now," she said. "Class is almost over,"
She looked around the class. Most of the other students seemed to be either asleep; or attempting not to fall asleep. However, she soon noticed that one of the sleeping students was, in fact, Gabriel. She turned to Arcruss.
"Do you by chance have a black marker?" she asked. "Or a bottle of ink or something?
Normally, she wouldn't condone playing tricks on people while they were asleep; or at all, for that matter. However, Gabriel had been rude to her at every chance he'd gotten; plus he'd been a jerk to her friends. Not to mention he'd nearly gotten her into detention earlier today. She supposed she owed him at least some form of payback.

Jennifer also happened to overhear Maxine and Will talking, and quickly stepped over, "Oh no you two don't. If you go "exploring" or whatever, and get into trouble, you'll give Gryffindor a bad name! You can't just go around losing Gryffindor house points, now can you?" she gave them a pretty stern glaring as she said so.

Bartholomew was being ushered off to the Hospital Wing at this point, and he was glad to be out of sight of his friend right now. He still found Hymie to be a pretty cool guy, even though he didn't quite 'get' it. For now, he needed to focus on healing though.

"I'm not interested in your suck up points!" Will declared. "Besides, we already have a bad name, there's some racist midget that won't shut her damn mouth." He then turned to Hymie. "Uh, sure," He agreed, slightly confused as to why a middle-class white kid was speaking like that but he didn't really mind - it was mildly amusing and wholly inoffensive.
Will raised a fist, and exclaimed, "Okay team, roll out!" He then proceeded to walk and without any idea of where to go, marched off towards the castle.
Eventually the party happened upon a door on the 3rd floor. Will could hear a rumbling snore from within. "It's a giant guys!" He exclaimed excitedly, trying the door. It was locked. "Uhm... damn," Will frowned. "D'you guys know how to pick locks?"

Maxine rolled her eyes are Jennifer and ignored her, turning her attention to the Hymie and Will. She mirrored Will's fist pump with a wide grin, "Yeah!"
It wasn't long before they came across a door in which they heard a rumbling from inside. Maxine scrunched her brow at it, but it was obvious she was excited about the possibly new discovery. "No, I don't," She answered, moving toward the door and tried herself before pressing her ear to it, "I wonder what's inside here."

Arcruss noticed What Laura was planning and handed over his ink bottle with innocent look on his face. It was Gabriels own fault for only making enemies. "Oh Sure, I can Lend you some ink~"

"Step aside; I've got this in the bag," said Hymie.
He pointed his wand at the lock. He'd been waiting for a chance to try this spell; as he'd never actually cast it. However, he'd seen his grandmother cast it before; and it seemed a simple enough spell.
"Alohamora!"
The keyhole glowed for a moment; before the lock clicked into place. He then grabbed the handle of the door and opened it.
"We are good to go," he said.
--
"Alright then," said Laura, taking the bottle of ink. "Lets get started,"
When Gabriel woke up; he heard the sound of someone sitting near him giggling. As he looked around the class; he noticed several people were staring at him; and a few were trying very hard not to laugh. He had no idea why they were staring at him until he put his hand up to his face. When he pulled it away, he noticed his hand had several black smudges on it.
"What the hell is going on?" he muttered, not quite putting it together yet.
Laura, meanwhile, was somehow managing to keep a straight face. Gabriel was probably going to throw a fit when he got in front of a mirror.

Re: The Wizarding World
Jennifer had an angry blush on her face as she scowled at the group of three leaving, "Rrr..." she followed them, "Fine, but I'm going with you to make sure you don't get into any trouble,"
Sure enough, they decided to go into a door that was completely off limits. This corridor was explicitly not allowed to first years (Or any year?). Jennifer responded to Hymie opening to door with magic in an angry whisper, "Hey! What are you doing?" she was not happy to say the least. However, she would only end up continuing to follow them.

Re: The Wizarding World
"Good job, Ravenguy." Will tried the handle. It worked. "And shut up, Jennifer," he added as an afterthought.
Will booted the door open and ended up face to face to face to face with a giant three headed dog - the source of the snores. The snores which were so powerful that they blew Will's hair like grass in a gentle breeze. "Ah," Will commented. The snores ceased. The monster had awoken from its slumber.
"ROAAAAAAAR!"
"ROAAAAAAAR!"
"ROAAAAAAAR!"
Will was sure his ears were going to explode from the volume and the dog's - if it could be called that - hot breath blew his robes back, gale force this time.
"Everyone get out!" Will bellowed, backing out of the room with his arms spread wide and not taking his eyes off the dog.

Re: The Wizarding World
The moment they opened the door and came face to face with the three headed dog, Maxine stopped in her tracks and stared up at it. One would expect this reaction to be of fear, but one look at her face gave hint to awe and wonder.
"Wow," She breathed, her eyes twinkled with excitement.
She didn't make a move to run. Not that she had to, Will had bumped into her sending her tumbling out the room regardless of whether she wanted to or not.

Arcruss Kept trying to hold his laugh while keep his face norm but that became easier when he swore he could hear Dog barking somewhere in castle. "There are dog's here...?" He wondered out loud while adjusting his head to get a better understanding of the sounds direction where it came from.
"Are Dogs even allowed into Hogwarts....?"

Re: The Wizarding World
Hymie stared at the large, three-headed dog. To his knowledge; three-headed dogs were incredibly rare. In fact, until now, the only one he'd ever seen was the one his grandmother owned. He couldn't help but wonder how they'd gotten this big dog into the room at all; but figured there must be a spell for that.
He didn't quite realize how dangerous the dog was at first. However; once it woke up and began roaring at them; he quickly retreated towards the door. Once he was through it, he grabbed the door; and prepared to shut it as soon as the others were through.
--
"That sounds a bit loud to be a dog," said Laura. "Sounds more like some kind of large monster,"

Jennifer was still very annoyed, when she came to notice the large dog in front of them. Could that thing even be called a dog? "What in the..." She breathed out, before it woke up and started roaring wildly at them.
She was petrified in place, but luckily Will was pushing everyone back, which caused her to start moving on her own and she backed up even farther. She bumped into Maxine on the way out but she wasn't worried about that right now.
Soon it seemed Hymie had closed the door. She breathed out a long sigh, and then turned towards the others, "Did you see that thing?! There's clearly a reason that room is off limits and that dog is it!" she felt like she'd run a mile, she'd never been in such a dangerous situation. Well, they had gotten right back out of there, but that was still terrifying for her.

Re: The Wizarding World
Will, his iota of maturity having played out and assured the safety of his classmates - even Jennifer - decided that there was nothing more fun than picking on a gigantic three headed dog. He stood in the doorway and taunted the beastie.
"Who's a good doggy? Huh? Who's a good boy? Come on, din-dins!" The monster's middle head responded with rage and crashed against the wall but it was too large to fit through the doorway. It roared and screamed in Will's face. "Ah bloody hell that stinks," Will commented, his face scrunched up. The middle face withdrew, as if coaxing Will in. He spotted a trap door and offered a leg to the animal which he instantly took away as the animal lunged for him.
Then Will had a stupid and wonderful idea. "Hey guys, see that trapdoor? Wanna find out what's in there?" The Gryffindor made to run as the head withdrew from it's latest attempt to savage him.

Re: The Wizarding World
"Ow," Maxine groaned, rubbing her bottom as she stood back up. She stuck her tongue out at the back of Will's head. In the back of her head, she thought she might want to thank Will for saving her life. Then she was bumped into again by Jennifer, sending her back butt first on the floor, "Hey!"
As Will taunted the dog beast, Maxine tried to get back up again and this time hoped no one would send her on the floor again. The girl was about to join her friend in the childish fun when he mentioned the trapdoor then took off. No way! She wasn't going to let him have all the fun without her! "I'm coming too," She called towards him, moving to run after him.

"Nooo that's definitely a dog but... bigger...?" Arcuss assured, a bit unsure himself. Seeing how other classmate were focused on the beast's sound rather than their History teacher, who seemed to be agitated by the lack of focus from students.

"My grandma has a dog like that," said Hymie. "Cept way more chill..."
He stared incredulously at Will and Maxine. He was always down with a little bit of adventure; but going back inside that room sounded less like "adventure" than it did "suicidal idiocy".
"Man, you cats are crazy," he said. "If you go back in there; you're only gonna end up as puppy chow..."
--
"Or maybe it's a regular dog and the sound is being amplified with...magic or something?" said Laura.

"Oh no no no, you two STOP!" Jennifer pulled out her wand and tried to think of something that could stop them from continuing through the door. Agh, this was so brutish but ...
"Flipendo!" Jennifer launched her recently learned spell at Will, causing him to be knocked down. Maxine was running right at him, and was liable to trip right over him. If one looked at Jennifer's face, you could easily see that she was a bit bothered by her choice, as her face was twisted into somewhat indignation at her limited options. She made a note to herself to learn more elegant means of keeping her fellows in line.

"Wh- ow!" Will was unceremoniously slammed into the door with such a force that he recoiled off it colliding with the floor and Maxine's ankles. "What's your problem?" Will demanded, springing to his feet and completely disregarding his assault on the girl in their Defence Against the Dark Arts class. In his rage he completely forgot the wand in his robes and had his hands squeezed into whitening fists by his sides in an attempt to restrain himself.

Re: The Wizarding World
Because of the antics of a certain snooty witch with no sense of fun, Maxine once again found herself getting acquainted with the floor. This time face first. At this rate, she'd have to take the floor on a date or something. She turned over, hissing in pain. Forbidden love with a floor sure was painful.
She brought her hand up to her nose and instantly felt something wet. Shit, her nose was bleeding, but she didn't think it was broken. Boy did it hurt though. "Why did you do that?! Thith ith tho thupid," Maxine grumbled, her voice coming out rather stuffy.

"If they would do that it would sound like a prank to scare all the cat's in the Hoghwarts , not a very good prank in my opinion. Also I don't think Dog was in the allowed pet's list?" Arcruss explained to Laura.

Hymie stared at Jennifer for a moment; shocked that she had turned to firing spells at her classmates so quickly. There had to have been a better way to stop them from running into the jaws of that giant, three-headed dog.
"Geez, chica. Overkill much?" he said, before turning to Will and Maxine. "Unless you cats have a giant dog-bone on you; I don't think we're getting past that three-headed mofo in there,"
--
"Yeah, that would be a pretty stupid use of magic," said Laura.
She looked around the classroom. It seemed now that any chance of sneaking out of class was gone; since everyone seemed to be staring at the door. If she wanted to investigate whatever that noise was; she'd have to wait until class was over.

Jennifer huffed, "I didn't want to..." she put her wand back away, half disgusted even by her own actions, "One day I'll figure out something better, but for now it's not like I had a choice!" She turned towards the grossly bleeding girl and the rather angry looking lad, "Were you two REALLY going to just go running into the jaws of that... that beast!?" her face was stuck between disbelief, anger, and embarrassment: indeed, it looked like she was angrily blushing at something she'd never seen before.

Will threw his hands in the air. "Of course not, we weren't gonna let it eat us! You're not hanging out with us next time!" He told Jennifer. "Well we'd better go find the nurse," the boy sighed with slumped shoulders. He kept half an eye on Jennifer, partially because he didn't trust her and partially because he was considering jinxing her.
"It'll probably only take a couple of seconds to fix you up," Will commented. Or not. He didn't really know how healing worked with magic but he did think it'd be a good idea to learn seeing as he hurt himself a lot. "I wonder if they can magic away blood stains."
