Magic Versus Tech Zwei Empty Magic Versus Tech Zwei

Post by Simply David Wed 07 Dec 2011, 9:22 pm

In a world of Magic and insanely future tech, there are forests of fairies and major futuristic cities with flying cars. Magic and Technology have never been able to get along, but now it has been escalating lately.

Wars have broken out, and we see sorcerers going out and fighting mechas, and cyborgs fighting with ninja.

There are two main leaders, Jace on the Magic side leads most of the actual armies (Though there are groups that work outside of Jace's control), and Jeff leading the largest Mecha Army.

The war has shown no signs of slowing down...

The name of the Magic Side of the war is The Natrali, and the Technological side's known as the Unity of the Future, Technalia.

Norine's Divider walked into the hanger; dragging it's currently detached backpack behind it.

"I need a new copilot," she said. "My current one is broken..."

Meanwhile; her copilot was, in fact, sitting in the cockpit; crying and muttering to himself.

"He crashed like a dumbass and got swarmed by Sugarplum fairies. Those are nasty little bastards," said Norine.

Aumilia was, to tell the truth, a bit bored. No one had come by to talk, there wasn't anyone to play with... and there wasn't a fight at the moment, even. The young girl sat on her bed, in her bedroom in the Vernonduschlitz military "cabin". It was really more like a mid-sized house, her family was both wealthy enough and militarily-inclined enough to have special accommodations constructed for them when they were present at the fort. Her parents even visited once a day, to stay for a few hours. However, they had left today, and Aumilia obviously wasn't allowed to wander the fort at random. As disciplined and as skilled at magic as she was, she was still a child.

The little girl sighed, leaning on her hands with her elbows on her knees. What was there to do? Aumilia eyed the suitcase that was as tall as she was near her bed. She could always practice, but... she'd already practiced today.

John sat listlessly in the bus, watching the scenery pass by him viciously. It stopped. The nineteen year old got off and felt a small breeze pass behind him as the large vehicle passed off to its next destination. He walked inside the building that was in front of him. The door jingled to herald his arrival.

"Welcome... Oh it's you."

The vendor gave him a deadpanned tone with a glum expression.

"Ammo refill," John simply told him.

The vendor nodded and headed to the back of his shop to retrieve the merchandise. It didn't take long to arrive with an array of magazines, grenades of three types (smoke, flash, and fragmentation), and a number of claymores.

The male handed his vendor a wad of cash in return. It was well received with a wiry hand. John started taking his newly bought equipment into parts of his jacket in different areas.

"Thanks..." was all he said before he left.

Lee and Cirno had been seperated. Well that was great.

Lee was currently wandering a battlefield where a bundle of Mechas and a small group of Trolls and Dwarves were fighting. Actually since this fight was really just a skirmish for the sake of fighting, Lee wasn't interested in helping out in this fight.

As a Dwarf ran up to a Mecha with a large axe, swinging it seemingly pointlessly before the ground beneath the mecha swelled open to drop the Mecha in, but then another mecha came by and stomped the dwarf. Lee sighed as he continued to call out, "CIRNOOOOO"

A grenade of large proportions was set off near him and he jumped. "OI! I'M GIVING YOU ALL A FREE PASS RIGHT NOW MAKE SOME DAMN USE OF IT!" He shouted out. However it was no use. If anything it got a shotgun wielding mecha to aim at him. He dashed off tot he side and hid behind a rock. "Fuckin' hell,"

He said a small chant under his breath. Suddenly his body was glowing a light aura. He jumped over the rock and dashed at the poor fool who aimed at him. He jumped straight at him, ignoring the shotgun blast. He slashed and took an arm with one swing, making the shotgun useless.

"...Eh? Oh ow," He looked at his body to find a single shot having actually managed to hit him. He'd thought he dodged it all... "Lucky Cirno isn't here to see this... she'd have a fit..." He sighed as he fell over. The wound was rather massive...

-----

Cirno on the other hand was in the middle of a fairy forest, speaking with some very confused star pixies who were actually only just visiting it turned out...

Yeah she was lost as she could be right now.

Meanwhile; Boudicca was aiming her bow at a super robot. She only had one shot before she was noticed; and she certainly didn't want to fight a super robot that knew they were there. She would have to hit the pilot with one shot.

Aiming at the colossal fighting machine's head; she let loose the arrow. It flew through the air till it pierced the side of the giant robot's head; where she hoped the pilot would be.

The mecha stopped moving mid-step; and suddenly fell over; crushing a smaller mecha that happened to be right next to it. It's eyes went dark; confirming that the pilot had been killed.

The real robot pilots around it barely had time to react before the rest of the guerilla army began bombarding them with various types of magical arrows. Some arrows exploded on contact; some froze their targets; some caused lightning to strike whatever they hit.

Several of them were destroyed almost instantly. The ones that were still standing started to fire blindly into the trees with their giant guns; before they too fell under the storm of magical arrows.

One of the pilots managed to climb out of his destroyed machine; and raised her hands in surrender. However; she was quickly swarmed by several hundred sugarplum fairies. Her ear-piercing screams caused Boudicca to wince; before she mercifully shot her through the heart with one of her arrows.

The fairies would probably be pissed that she killed their victim before they could 'play' with her; but Boudicca didn't really care. She hated Sugarplum fairies anyway.

--

Laura Lovegood; AKA Poison Oak yawned as planted several more flowers in the Presidential Garden. She filled the plants with small amounts of magical power; so that they'd magically record any conversation that was spoken near them.

She then checked on her other spy plants to see if anything important had been said near them in the past week. Unfortunately, it was mostly boring stuff about the president's homelife; his children; his shady business deals with various criminal organizations; and some sounds that she suspected were the maid and the president's secretary getting busy.

She sighed, and went back to work. Perhapse her network of spies had heard something interesting.

There was fighting.

Aumilia was being called to fight, specifically. And... it was certainly better then waiting. She opened her suitcase, looking down at the gleaming set of armor within. It was angular, but sized to fit her body. The upper arms and legs, and the waist and neck, were made of interlocking plates for better movement, as opposed to the standard plates. Though, what was really noticeable, was the fact that the armor was all one piece.

That, and the gem embedded in the chest. It was dormant for now, but...

Soon, it would be active.

Aumilia smiled faintly as she looked it over. The armor served as a symbol of her father's love, and willingness to protect her.

She held her hand out over it.

"Unzerbrechlich," she started, beginning the incantation to activate the armor, "Aufstieg, zum als mein Schutz in diesem bevorstehenden Kampf zu dienen."

The armor glowed, softly, and rose. It hovered in the air, shifting to an upright position before landing again, outside of the case.

"Thank you, father," Aumilia said. She stepped into the open back of the armor, and felt it shut tight behind her. Finally, the back of the head portion swung shut as well. The gem blazed into activity. It was a dark purple color, and soon that same glow surrounded Aumilia's entire body. Unzerbrechlich was channeling Aumilia's mana to produce a shield.

"Göttlicher Arm!" she cried. A sound much like the swirling of wind echoed through Aumilia's room, and curling bursts of magical energy coalesced into a staff in Aumilia's hand. The black shaft and the white orb that topped it made it instantly recognizable.

Göttlicher Arm der Vernichtung.

Aumilia rushed for the door, and burst out. She paused for a moment. Glänzende Kraft was a strictly offensive school of magic, but speed boosts could be used offensively.

It also made for a quick way to make it to battle.

"Im Namen des Lords der Wilden Jagd, rufe ich Sie, Geschwindigkeit des Winds an," she said, quickly. In that instant, her speed boosted tremendously. And with that, she was off.

"Hey , your robot's broken!" Dassy said, skipping over to Norine. "Fix time!"

Several cylindrical, silver repair drones surrounded the fallen mecha, and began the process of reattaching the jetpack and applying new armor plates to damaged areas. Dassy giggled happily as the machines moved about.

----
Akuma really hated his life about now. Not only had one of the pilots been killed, his mecha had landed on and crushed a smaller mecha. His combat-trained optic sensors followed the trajectory the arrow had taken, and ran towards the forest, blurring from his speed, while the rest of his comrades fell to the ambush. Plasma coalesced around his fists, arcing like lightning and sizzling like fire, and the martial artist spun, chopping several trees in half as he leaped into the woods.

"Where are you? Show yourself!"

Remma was anxious.

She'd bee placed on standby, and that... well, that always made her anxious. It was pretty inevitable that she'd have to get into her mech and pilot, and she didn't have a problem with that. After all, she was, in her own words, 'the best damn pilot in this sector'. The wait always made her anxious, though. It was just a natural reaction to it. She was all suited up, her helmet under her arm as she leaned against one leg of her mech.

"Uggghhh... Damn wait..." she complained, under her breath.

"What's the matter with ya, Sis?" A child-like voice asked her suddenly. Nel appeared a little above Remma, hanging upside down from some railing. In a quick motion, the girl flipped and jumped down, landing next to the mecha pilot with a slight thump, "Startin' to get scared?"

----

Satsuki was lounging on the roof of some building, when she noticed some flash by in the corner of her eye. Intrigued, the vampire jumped off the roof and used her natural vampire speed to chase after the girl. She recognized her, a young girl named Aumilia. She had seen her often, up and about, helping out in the war. She must have been called for battle, seeing how much of a hurry she was in, "Hey~! Wait up, Onee-chan wants to come with you~!"

Remma's gaze snapped up, to see who was speaking to her. Not that she didn't recognize being addressed as sis... And indeed, there he was. Nel, that pale boy. Wasn't he a saboteur or something? She'd spoken to him a few times before. Firstly...

"Scared?" her nervousness dispelled. No way was she scared! Remma was the 'best pilot in this sector'. She didn't get scared. "I'm just antsy. I know I'm going to get sent out, but I don't know when... besides, I'm the best pilot in this sector, did you really think I'd get scared over something like this?"

----

Aumilia decided she could afford to slow down slightly, considering someone was calling her. The 'onee-chan' made it clear who it was, at least. Aumilia didn't know the vampire very well... but she'd heard her talk before, and... well, if she wanted to come to battle...

Even slowed down, the speed granted by invoking the Wild Hunt still made her run considerably faster then a normal human could achieve. Even still, it was likely the vampire would've caught up with her anyway...

"You've been sent into battle, too?" Aumilia asked, glancing back at the vampire for only a second before turning back to avoid crashing into obstacles. Allies were always welcome! They could help in a fight, and her father always said that allies were valuable, and should be helped just as much as they helped you. And, obviously, they were usually friendly and by definition they were on her side. That alone was reason to value them, even if they weren't of much help in battle.

Boudicca put away her bow, and charged Akuma. She figured he would probably dodge her magical arrows. Charging forward and punching him to the moon would probably be her best bet.

Magic Versus Tech Zwei Empty Re: Magic Versus Tech Zwei

Post by Simply David Wed 14 Dec 2011, 12:09 pm

There are many locations highly important to the magic in the world, and there are many locations important to the Natrali specifically.

There is a mine in particular the Tech side has been eyeing, and today is there chance to take it down.

This Mine was one of the two most important Etherium Mines, an ore used to keep the Natrali's flying machines and Castles in the Sky afloat. A necessary ore or else the Magic Side will be in great trouble, not only in the war but in general.

The guard was lower than normal due to it being in the middle of a transition. Technalian generals decided that instead of sending in a large platoon, it would send in a small saboteur group followed by a small platoon of armed soldiers and a pair of Divider Units, Mk II.

The defense didn't have any clue they would get hit, and therefore stood no chance. They hardly managed to get out a telepathic call for help.

And now, the soldiers were setting explosives to destroy the Mine, so that there was no way it could be used again.

"Come on, hurry up! Who knows what kind of hell we'll be hit with if we take too long and reinforcements arive!" The commander, a cyborg, said.

"Yes sir, captain Bradly sir!" A soldier went in to make sure the explosives would get set more hurriedly.

All the survivors of the combat, as well as all the miners, were inside the mines, tied down and gagged.

Zack strolled through mine whistling to himself. It was dark and he didn't really like it a lot, but he supposed it could be worse.

He could be one of the miners.

Briefly, he contemplated freeing them, but his behavior seemed to be grating on the nerves of the higher echelons recently and he didn't think he'd get away with it. At all.

'Sucks to be you guys,' He thought, passing them. This wasn't his kind of mission really, and he didn't know why he was here. Usually he was dispatched to own the shit out of a person or twelve, but this mission thus far had little to no action.

Not that he liked killing people, but a fight was fun, especially with the toys he had.

Niho sat on a rock, drawing images in the sand with her stick. Mr. B was snoozing somewhere nearby.

Mr. G should be nearby too, wherever he was. Niho began humming a little tune to herself, happy to have this time of peace. Nothing was happening on this side of this mountain, and that was what mattered to her. She was tired of running. She had lost the last set of bounty hunters so things should be quiet for a bit longer still.

Speaking of those bounty hunters, Mr. B had a bone in his mouth as he slept...

"Mmh," Niho nodded, and jumped down from the rock. She assumed he meant someone was coming. She knew they couldn't stay in one spot long but ooooh it was so frustrating having to constantly move around.

It helped that she didn't have to rest or sleep, but then again she LIKED resting and sleeping.

Regardless, "Mr. B! Come on we have to get going," She said in her somewhat echoing voice, light and playful for now. She didn't want Mr. B to worry about things at the moment. It wasn't likely they were close or else Garret would be more urgent.

"Well now, lets go Mr. B, Mr. G," She said, walking down the mountain. She didn't want to go to the top if she could help it...

"Well, if you say so Sis," Nel replied not all that convinced, "At least you get sent on cool missions, they still won't let me do any of the dangerous ones! It's not fair!"

The phantom girl crossed her arms over her chest and puffed out her cheeks. She never got to do any of the really cool stuff. It was always boring scout missions.

"Nope!" Satsuki replied cheerfully as she caught up to the smaller girl and ran alongside her, "It's just boring and I thought it might be fun to join you on the battlefield~ ehe~"

"Well, you're still a kid," Remma replied, folding her arms across her chest. "It's not like you're going to be sent to do anything dangerous, y'know? Well, as dangerous as piloting."

Her cocky grin grew. "But even if you became a pilot, you'd have to work pretty hard to kick as much ass as I do. Besides, you're pretty good at that stealth stuff, aren't you?"

From what Remma understood, Nel had some kind of extremely advanced stealth system. You couldn't tell by looking at him, though. What you could tell by looking at him, is that he'd probably look like a girl if he was dressed in the right clothes. Huh.

---

"Oh, well..." Aumilia paused for a moment. She didn't have to think about her response for more then a second. "Of course! It's always good to have allies!"

She smiled. Unzerbrechlich's plating clanked as she ran. Stealth wouldn't be necessary... Not that Aumilia was any good at stealth to begin with. Glänzende Kraft was all about flashy and powerful attacks, after all. Asking her to do stealth would be like asking a cow to tapdance. It wouldn't end particularly well.

There was the first guard. In front of the mines... what happened to the miners? ... If they'd been hurt...

The guard raised his weapon.

"Trennmaschine-Schraubbolzen!" Aumilia cried, raising Göttlicher Arm. A burst of energy shot out of the tip of the staff, roughly the size and length of Aumilia's arm. With a crackling sound, it tore through the air and struck the guard in the chest. With a gurgle, he fell to the ground. She continued to run, and it became clear that there were more guards, and those were... those were mechs.

Nothing Aumilia hadn't dealt with before.

Akuma, similarly, charged Boudicca, remaining silent and appraising the woman. She didn't look that threatening - she actually was quite good looking - but appearances could be decieving. Dassy, for example, was a pink-haired childlike android, but it could control the entire fortress. He twisted his body, plasma gathering around his shoulder, which he turned towards the woman. If she dodged his shoulder tackle... then the fight was on.

Cirno had managed to come across a large building. It appeared to be some sort of massive mansion.

"What is this place, Cirno wonders..." She muttered to herself, and looked at the wall. Once she was actually paying attention, it astonished her. "Wow..."

It said the word Library. Over and over again. But in so many languages that, even given the vast amount of languages she knew through programming, there were quite a few she didn't recognize.

"Cirno wants to see the books such a place would hold..." She walked up to the front door, and considered knocking. Finally she gave a gentle knock before opening the door.

"Hello? Anyone here?" She asked, her tiny robotic voice echoing.

----

Some of the other guards were on alert immediately. The two mechas raised their machine guns. "OI! Someone shoot that little girl before she causes a mess of things, yeah?!" The Cyborg captain shouted out.

Oh no, not another little girl to ruin his mission! He wouldn't let it happen again... not after last time.

The mechs opened fire.

The bullets that managed to strike Aumilia's shield were stopped dead. With each strike, the shields flashed purple, and a loud 'tink' sound resulted. Even after hearing it before, it still hurt Aumilia's ears.

First, the mechs.

She pushed herself. She could access Geschwindigkeit des Winds' full speed fairly easily, just by speeding up. The shield's protection kept the speeds from causing any injury...

Aumilia ran directly up the mech. She made her way to the portion that could be considered the head, and pointed her staff directly down, towards the armor plating. These didn't require the sheer amount of power that was Unbegrenztheits-Schlag, she had something that would do nicely in this case.

"Kerl-Schuß!"

There was a blast of light and noise. The close proximity lead to the spell piercing the armor, a purple magical explosion ripping the cockpit apart, and indeed, the entire "head" of the mech. The explosion was loud, but Aumilia was used to it. It was unlikely that the pilot survived that, and if they did, they'd probably only wake up after this battle was over.

Aumilia leaped off of the mech, and landed. The Unzerbrechlich absorbed the impact, to keep her from breaking her legs, and she used the wreck of the first mech as cover to avoid behind hit by the second's machine gun fire while her shields were recovering from using a spell like that. It wasn't powerful enough to deplete them too badly, but it was for safety's sake.

----

"Hello."

The Librarian smiled. A visitor? She didn't appear to have any ill intentions for her books, so there was no reason to be on guard. "I'm the Librarian! Who are you?"

Zack emerged from the mine with an excited grin as he witnessed someone take down a mech. This was the fun he'd been waiting for.

He shot into the battle zone and observed the area. Then he slapped himself. Who observed the area.

In a huge error of judgement which he realised would probably bite him in the arse later, he found a small chink in the mech's armour which had spotted whilst travelling. His hand glew bright blue as he inserted his finger, and the mech slumped over, to the surprise of its pilot.

"Come out come out wherever you are," Zack sang, stretching out in the school uniform he always wore.

Thinking quickly, Boudicca jumped into the air; leapt off Akuma's head, and landed in a nearby tree-branch. She then began to make faces at the android.

"Oh wow, what a powerful attack," she said. "Shame it'll never hit me,"

Judy, meanwhile, was sitting in her mecha, going through yet another training course. She sighed at the boredom of it all. At first, the training had been fun. She'd gotten to pilot her giant robot and smash things that were pretty much made to be smashed.

However; after running through a mecha training about the hundreth time, they really stop being a challenge. She knew how to make the mecha move as if it were part of her body. She'd memorized every type of enemy drone and had system for smashing each one. And it was SO BORING.

"Come on guys!" she said, as she looked at the course. "This course is hardly a challenge. I'm not really learning to adapt to new situations here..."

"SOLDIER! YOU GET THAT MECHA INTO THAT TRAINING COURSE RIGHT NOW!" yelled her drill sergeant. He wasn't a very nice man.

"But what's the point?" said Judy. "I already know how to smash all the drones,"

"YOU DON'T QUESTION YOUR ORDERS SOLDIER!" yelled the sergeant.

"You yell alot! That's not good for your vocal chords, ya know," said Judy. If she didn't know any better, she'd swear she heard him growling on the other end.

She then heard another voice over the radio.

"If you don't feel challenged by our training course, how about a deal?" said the Captain.

"Ooh! What kind of deal?" said Judy, excitedly. She hadn't heard from the Captain in a while. It was a suprise to have him show up to observe your training.

"You told me earlier that you wouldn't kill a single opponent with that giant robot," said The captain. "And yet, from what I've seen; you tend to leave those drones so heavily damaged that we can barely salvage them..."

"Er...yeah. They aren't really sentient, so I figure it's ok to smash 'em!" said Judy.

"Ah, but you're supposed to be an ally of justice," said The Captain. "So I'll give you this challenge: complete the course without destroying a single drone; or getting a scratch on the meccha,"

"Ooh! Sound hard!" said Judy, though she sounded quite happy. "What do I get if I win?"

"I'll take you out to get ice cream," said the Captain. "My treat,"

"Ice cream? And someone else is paying for it?" said Judy. "Prepare to have your wallet completely emptied, sir!"

And with that; Ninja Dracula charged towards the training course.

Ivan lit another cigaret as he looked down at the body of the most recent assassin sent to kill him. This one had known his routine ridiculously well; and had known that he would be having lunch with the president today.

The President, meanwhile, was responding much like the rest of the patrons of the diner they had been eating at: namely, freaking the fuck out.

"So, anyway, Mr. President: what were you saying about Poison Oak being a rumor?" he asked.

"T-this is no reason to assume that there's some super-spy in the city! And even if there was; to suggest that this Poison Oak has a spy working in my own staff!" said The President.

"Those fancy magical detectors of yours aren't perfect," said Ivan, somewhat distractedly. "The magic side seems to be getting access to alot of classified information lately,"

He looked around the restaraunt; and wondered when they were going to bring him his goddamned steak. He couldn't believe how poor the service in this restaraunt was. Honestly; one measly assassination attempt in the restaraunt and suddenly they'd dropped everything. He doubted he would eat here again.

Magic Versus Tech Zwei Empty Re: Magic Versus Tech Zwei

Cirno looked at the Librarian, "Ah, Cirno is Cirno," She said simply, smiling innocently at the young looking girl. Cirno was happy to find someone as friendly as a young child, instead of some kind of enemy.

----

Niho skipped down the mountain happily humming all along the way. She was happy right now because she knew the ones hunting them weren't really on the right trail anyway. She left a fake trail and clue that would suggest she was going up the mountain to find something.

Suddenly there was a gunshot. "Kya!" Niho fell to the ground, her leg bleeding. It healed back up after a few seconds, pushing the bullet back out. However it still hurt and she was clutching at her leg.

Mr. B began to growl violently. A man came out from behind a rock, "Knew you were coming down the mountain, lovely. Now why don't we just call off the monster or I'll blow off your head, eh?" He said, pointing a large hand pistol at Niho's face with one hand.

In his other hand was a pump-action shotgun, pointed at Garret. Someone who knew anything about guns knew he'd only have one shot with that shotgun and he'd have to use his other hand to cock the gun for another shot.

"Easy now big guy, you don't want her getting shot in the head now do ya?" He asked, smiling.

The Librarian's smile widened. Someone who was friendly? Surely, she figured there would be no problem with letting her in. "It's nice to meet you, Cirno. I am the Librarian."

At the moment, the Librarian was wearing simple red bedclothes. After all, she was ill enough at the moment that it was usually best to stay in bed. Though she was feeling better, she still hadn't changed into something else. The Librarian cocked her head slightly to one side, out of curiosity. "Did you come here to read?"

Cirno frowned and shook her head, "Cirno is lost..." she looked around at the many books around, "But, Cirno enjoys reading," She added.

Cirno had never seen so many books in one place, not even in the Edgemaster Archives...

The gunman didn't expect that, and was shaken quite a bit.

Mr. B charged in ruthlessly, while Niho sneered, "Shooting me in the head will get you nowhere..." she said quietly as Mr. B charged forward.

The man aimed at the Creature with his shotgun, and let off a shot, causing Mr. B to recoil from the sheer force, and a bit of the shot hit skin. Blood spilled to the ground, but not much.

The man was on his knees from the tremor, and was currently trying to reload his shotgun.
