The Pokemon "Deal With What You Got" Tournament I Thread

Hello, welcome ladies and gentlemen! You Pokemon Trainers have all gathered here for a special event. Not just a competition, but a test! A test of your mastery over Pokemon battling! Anyone can pull together the strongest of Pokemon and greatest of legendaries to create a powerful team, but a real Pokemon Master can win battles with any Pokemon! And it is that ability which you will now be displaying! It's time for the...


This tournament, as the name would suggest, will force you to deal with what you get. You can't just build a carefully calibrated team from a collection of subtly different and unique parts to create a powerful engine of destruction here. No, in this tournament, your Pokemon will be picked for you. By whom? By the Random Number God! Now, the following rules are in effect for this tournament, so read them careful and don't break them:

0: You'll have eight semi-randomly generated Pokemon. You have to make a team using six of them. You can't use other Pokemon, so you have to deal with what you get.
1: Species Clause, Item Clause, Evasion Clause, Hax Clause, and Sleep Clause are active for this tournament. If you don't know what would or wouldn't be allowed with these clauses, please ask.
2: The tournament will use bracket-style advancement, with the winner of the best two-out-of-three moving on. Bracket placement will be randomized.
3: Once everyone's Pokemon have been generated, everyone will have two days to make their team. After that, the tournament will begin.

Hm... I am disappoint at the lack of Lucario, but I think I can manage a totally unbeatable team with this.

Yeah, more specifically, we're using one tier. The bottom (and more importantly, largest) tier, NU. Anyway, you're right about the item clause, it means you can't use more than one of the same item. Hax clause means you can't use items that adjust luck-based effects, like giving something a King's Rock to hold.

Um... I'd like to put myself tentatively forward. If you need to even out the numbers or something, ahah. Um... Yeah. I'll probably suck at this, but... Yeah. >.<

"Hax Item Clause: Items that rely on chance, such as Focus Band and Quick Claw are banned. This clause is a "soft ban", and is usually ignored."

"Evasion Clause: Double Team, Minimize, BrightPowder, and Lax Incense are banned. In some tournaments, the Abilities Sand Veil and Snow Cloak cannot be used with sandstorm or hail, respectively. Also, sometimes Acupressure and Moody are prohibted by this clause due to the possibility of raising evasiveness."
