Digimon RP

There are two worlds; the Real World and the Digital World. They have coexisted peacefully until evil Digimon started to appear and terrorize the innocent residents in various parts of the DigiWorld. In order to bring back peace to the world, the Ancients have chosen children from the Real World to help in destroying these evil Digimon.

We start in summer camp, then move on from there...

It was a pretty peaceful day. Bright and sunny and cheery, perfect for camping out in the forest.

And that's what a bunch of kids were doing at the moment; setting up tents, making campfires, making sure everything they packed was in their bags, etc. A blond boy, who goes by the name Ikuto Koizumi, was happily chatting with his friends as he helped set up the tent they were going to sleep in. He liked the idea of camping in the forest; not only are you next to nature, but it turns a boy into a man was well (at least in his opinion).

But not everyone was helping out. Like one of the older kids, Yuko Fujiwara; she was perched high up in a tree, sleeping the day away. She hated being out in the hot outdoors anyway and she was too lazy to help out since they had just arrived at the campsite. She'd never know why her mother forced her to go to camp when she didn't want to in the first place. Something about having fun with friends and being close to nature or whatnot...

Kaito Ichikami tied roped tight which kept the tent up. He stood back, looking at the work he had done. He was pretty distant from other kids, which only bothered him little, since he had been alone almost from the beginning. He stood up and streched his back then sit down on the rock which was near the tent he set up. His mother and father signed him to the summer camp, thinking it would be good for him, instead of being alone in the city since both of his parent's were on business trips.

Myou sighed as she fumbled helplessly with the equipment. "Damn these tents..." She muttered as her work collapsed yet again. She grumpily shot up and kicked the tent pieces into oblivion before stomping off to find something less frustrating to do. If she was lucky, she'd be found by some nice "civilized folk" and brought back home; she missed her television.

Shin was kicking a football into the air. He'd been playing football since he was small. He remembered the urge to start playing was similar to the urge he had to wear goggles, and he was now quite good at keeping the ball in the air.
As an only child, he'd spent most of his childhood kicking a ball around on his own, until he was allowed out of his apartment block on his own. He was 10 by then. Now he was 14 and had been coming to the summer camp since that first summer of double digits. Some of the younger kids looked up to him in their first years of being there, and he'd earned the title "Goggle Leader" from the aforementioned children.

Having finished pitching up the tent and making sure he had all of his things, Ikuto left his tent and looked around the camp, smiling widely at the happy kids who were running about.

He saw Shin nearby, bouncing a soccer ball in the air and Ikuto's eyes widened, practically shining with awe. He thought that Shin was the greatest and he really wanted to be like him someday.

"Hey, looks like someone's got a crush on Shin," one of Ikuto's tentmates teased. Ikuto's face flared up.

"Shut up!" he cried, his face scrunching up. "I am not some lovestruck school girl!"

"But you look like one."

Laughter followed and Ikuto's face only turned more red as he flailed and shouted at his campmates.

Meanwhile... Yuko was still sleeping in that tree...

Manako sighed as she tried to put her tent together, but try as she might she wasn't really any good at it. She'd normally ask someone else to help her, but each of the girls she was with had managed to come up with a (in her naive mind, rather valid) excuse as to why they couldn't. Apparently, Manako's own excuse of being the one who had no clue wasn't as good as theirs, so she was the one stuck with it. She hadn't really done anything outdoorsy before, but she had seen a flyer for it somewhere and asked her parents if she could try. Ever willing to please their daughter, they had let her go- and she was beginning to see that it might've been a mistake.

However, she would not back down- if she kept at it, some darling prince might come and help her out! She pumped her fist, a gleam in her eyes- but since her monologue was internal, no one quite knew what she was thinking of as she did that.

Ikuto huffed and stormed away, ignoring the shouted apologies of his friends. They always teased him for looking like a girl but no matter how many times he was teased, Ikuto always got angry and stormed away. He needed to blow of some steam before going back and accepting his friends' apologies.

He soon came upon Manako, who was having trouble pitching up her tent. Not one to turn away from anyone who needed help, Ikutp surged forward and grabbed the folds of the canvas, putting on a smile for the older girl.

"Let me help you with that," he said brightly. It was a good distraction from his anger anyway.

Manako smiled back at the younger girl who had come to her help- she wasn't a girl from her own tent, so she was especially welcome. She mentally cried that a handsome prince hadn't come, but such was life. "Thanks! I don't have much of a clue as to what I'm doing..." Her cheek puffed up in annoyance. "The others left me with this job even though I'm the one who's completely new to this..."

Her thoughts drifted back to the handsome prince angle... maybe if two maidens were in distress... She shook her head rather strongly. While two maidens would surely be better bait, the other girl was pretty cute in her own way, and the prince might actually be more swayed by her than Manako!

Ikuto chuckled a little. "Yeah, I know what you mean," he said as he clicked together the frame of the tent. "Well, my friends didn't leave me but they sure like to gang up on me a lot."

He gestured to the frame he just put together. "Here, I'll show you how to pitch a tent. Just hold up the canvas and I'll push the poles through the the required places. It's easy really."

Manako was a bit saddened that a girl who was obviously younger than her was so much more knowledgeable, but she supposed that such was life again. She held up the canvas, hoping she was doing it right. "Like this? Sorry, this is my first time even going camping..."

Ikuto smiled as he pushed in the poles. "It's tough the first time around, but it gets easier the more times you do it," he said.

Soon, the tent was pitched and Ikuto finished hammering the frame into the ground so it wouldn't fly if there was any strong winds.

"There, nice and sturdy!" he said as he straightened and wiped sweat from his brow.

Manako was pretty impressed. She looked at the other girl for a moment, and her heart skipped a beat at her sweaty appearance. Knowledgeable, hard-working, dependable... if only she were a guy... though she almost looks it...

"Thanks a lot! Do you want to be my friend?" She seemed embarrased upon realizing something about their interactions. "Oh, oops, I haven't even introduced myself.... My name's Tenno Manako, what's yours?"

Ikuto jumped a little. In his fuming and helping the girl, he had completely forgotten to introduce himself.

"Ah, right!" he said, laughing a little. "Introductions... well, my name's Koizumi Ikuto. Yoroshiku."

Kaito had his eyes placed on book he had taken out to pass time, he Didn't notice the whole "damsel in distress" scene. He had few moment looked around how everybody had such fun.

He lifted his eyes from the book for a moment looking at sky.

"Nice to meet you, Koizumi-san!" She wondered why on Earth a cute girl like Koizumi had a name like Ikuto, but she mentally filed it away for later. "Hey, do you want to go do something together? Everyone else seems to have gone off into their own little groups..." She had been hoping to join the others, but apparently she would need to endear herself to them somehow. She was sure she could do it, she just didn't know how long it might take. Koizumi, on the other hand, was more than willing to be her friend, and for now that was enough.

Ikuto blinked. Well, he didn't have anything else to do so...

"Sure!" he chirped, smiling and tilting his head to the side. "We can go to the lake and-"

Ikuto was cut off when he felt something small and cold land on his nose. It quickly melted into water, which confirmed what it was. Looking up, he saw that the sky had suddenly been covered in grey clouds when a minute ago, it was bright and sunny with no cloud in the sky.

Now, it was snowing and the temperature was quickly lowering.

"What the...?"

Kaito turned his eye's back to sky when he saw a small snowflake fall down on to his book.

Kaito opened his hand and watched a snowflake float down to his hand and melt into a water from his body temperature.

"Snow.....?"

Manako looked up into the sky as the snowflakes started to increase in number. "Eh? Snow? That's weird..." Suddenly, what it really meant hit her. "Ah! We'll be able to make snowmen and snow angels! This'll be great~" She tried to catch a snowflake on her tongue, but then realized that she was beginning to get cold. "Oh, wait, I don't have my snow clothes.... why did it have to snow right now?!"

Hiromi let out a sigh from her position on the campsite edge, out of sight from most. She wanted to help with setting up camp. She really did, but when she offered to help, they gave her the look. The look that said someone like you shouldn't strain themselves. She hated that look, she hated people thinking she was incapable. If she wanted to, she could do anything she set her mind to. At least, that's what her father always told her.

The dark haired girl sighed again, pulling off her hat to run her fingers through her boyishly cut hair. The heat was getting to her and she had to wonder if it really was a good idea to come dressed in brown pants and white long-sleeved shirt. She look more like a boy ready to go to church than a girl on a camping trip. It was then that she noticed the snow and how noticeably colder it gotten.

"Huh? How is it snowing?"

Shin stared at the sky as snow descended and the temperature plummeted. "Wha... Snow? In the middle of summer? I didn't even see the clouds coming in." He looked around. Most of the kids had retreated to their cabins, and only a handful were still outside. Of course it was possible that he had been so focused on the ball, which lay discarded under a tree, that he hadn't noticed the clouds, but that didn't explain why it was snowing in the middle of what had been a rather warm summer.

When the snow began to fall a bit heavier and wind began to blow harshly, Ikuto grabbed Manako's hand and tugged her into her tent, which was the nearest cover they had.

"Come on!" he cried over the wind, already shaking from the freezing cold.

"Brrrr, maybe I should have dressed even heavier," Hiromi said with a light shiver as she tried to move her wheelchair through the snow. Which was a difficult task.

But suddenly snowing like this, it's kinda strange. I've never seen something like this happen before in Japan. Geez, it's getting harder to move this chair. Maybe I should call for help...

Manako sighed as she got into the tent, and puffed up her cheek in annoyance. "Stupid snow, it's coming down in the wrong season entirely... I wish it would just go away! It's kind of hard for us to get away from here, after all..."

She looked around the tent, but there was nothing to keep herself warm with, and it was getting cold even in here. "Brr... Maybe we should've run to somewhere else..."

It was getting a little tougher for Hiromi to push herself through the snow. She prided herself on her great arm strength, but unfortunately this was just too much for her. She was just about to do one thing she hated to do, and call for help when suddenly she felt her chair moving. She looked up to see some guy pushing the chair into one of the tents.

"Er... thanks," Hiromis said to the boy a little confused.

"No prob bro," The boy said before walking off towards friends in the tent currently .

Bro...? Oooohhhh....

Minutes passed, the wind continued blowing, and it felt like below freezing. Ikuto rubbed his arms hurriedly, trying to keep himself warm as he huddled into himself.

This is the weirdest thing that has ever happened...

And suddenly, just as fast as it arrived, the wind and snow gradually died down, leaving only a blanket of inch-thick frozen flakes covering everything. Seeing that the wind had died down, Ikuto cautiously poked his head out of the tent's flap.

"Looks like it stopped," he said, noting that the sun was out once again, the sky being absent of grey clouds. "Weird..."

Yuko poked her head out of the little wooden cabin she found shelter in. When it began snowing, she thought it was really very strange. She also thought that it would stop eventually, seeing that it was in the middle of the summer, so she didn't move from her spot in her tree for a while, That was until the storm became harsher and she was forced to find shelter. Unfortunately, the camp was a little way away from her hiding place and she didn't want to risk walking over there in the snow downfall. Fortunately, she found a little cabin to duck into, therefore saving her from freezing to death outside.

"Woo!" Shin yelled, picking up an armful of snow and forming a handful into a sphere. "Snowball fight!" He called, waiting for some kids to appear with a snowball in hand. He didn't pay any attention to the fact that the sky was suddenly clear of clouds. He had hidden inside a wooden bedroom cabin and when he had emerged, he saw he was the first one out.
No one came out for a moment, which gave him time to think. 'It is a bit weird,' He thought to himself, 'The clouds have completely vanished. And there was no warning. Something strange is going on.'

Hiromi rubbed her arms, trying to get the feeling back into them, considering that the cold had numbed them. The girl moved her chair to peek outside a moment. The snow had completely stopped now causing her to be utterly confused. What just happened made no absolute sense, whatsoever.

"Dad will never believe this," Hiromi muttered to herself.

Manako poked her head out as well, trying not to let snow pile into the tent. "Eeeh? So quickly? I guess it's a good thing, but... that's just so weird, don't you agree? The clouds are gone, too!" She stepped outside, still trying to avoid getting snow everywhere, hoping to get a better view. She became awestruck by how much snow was everywhere. "Woooow.... I've never seen snow pile up this quickly before..."

"Yeah, really weird," Ikuto said as he followed Manako outside. It was still very cold, but the snow gave a very wintery wonderland feel to the camp. It was quite... fantastical.

Rubbing her hands together and breathing on them, Yuko excited the wooden cabin and went to look around. Snow covered everything and was everywhere. And if it wasn't for the weirdness of how the snow appeared in the first place, then Yuko just might make a snowman for the hell of it.
