Magic Versus Tech Zwei

A fast sound of large food steps approached the bounty hunter and before he could do anything he was grabbed from throath and lifted in air by Garret hand. Garret's unseen face examined the bounty hunter by turning his head through neck with hand which hold man's throath. "Funny.... you just made the biggest mistake by underestimating." The Drill began spin once more as Garret gave it gas and thrusted the drill through bounty hunters stomache while it spinned.

Niho smiled brightly as Garret killed the man, who's face had gone blank in death.

"Yay! Mr. G, Mr. B, you two make quite the team," Niho said, running forward and slowing down as she reached the body. "Ew, he's even uglier than the last bounty hunter... ah well," she shrugged and turned around, "Alright lets go!"

She started off and Mr. B stayed right next to her. She assumed that Garret would keep up as well like usual.

Jace sighed. He didn't know what to do. He had just given a speech to a group of soldiers defending the Fortress of Shadows.

He liked the fact of how dark it was here, but the residents were of the lower parts of the earth, just beneath the crust, and only had this one fortress here on Earth. With proper enchantments they've blocked out the sun here, so it was perpetual night.

He was walking away from the castle at this point, not necessarily to get away but just because he felt like a stroll. It was so strange, seeing the "Red Moon" that should have been the sun up in the sky, and it felt good to walk under it. He was very much lost in thought at the moment...

Diana yawned. Being somewhere that was always dark made her sleepy. She rubbed her eyes and slumped against a tree. Would anyone care if she just closed her eyes for a minute? Before she could decide, she heard someone walking and glanced around the tree to see who it was. 'It's Jace!' she thought happily. 'I wonder if he'll notice if I sneak up on him.' She stood up and smirked as she brushed herself off. Moving quickly, but quietly, she tiptoed behind Jace. She bit her lip to keep from laughing. "Hi, Jace!" she yelled as she tackled him.

Jace jumped almost out of his skin, and went tumbling down. He was never very strong. "Wah! What ar- oh, Ahaha, hey Diana," Jace smiled hesitantly. He wouldn't have admitted it, but he could have sworn she were some monster or other jumping out at him.

"Hi," she said with a grin. "What are you doing?"

Alice stared at Jace suspiciously. She was currently hiding in the branches of a nearby tree. 'Just what is going on out there?' she wondered. 'Why is she being so trusting of this strange man? What if he tried to hurt her?'

"Égoutter le pouvoir, et libérer l'âme," Satsuki said under her breathe. Suddenly a purple mass appeared under one of the mechs. It rose and wisped around them, slowly draining the energy in them. Luckily, these were some of the early models. Now a days, a majority of the mechas had developed a resistant to her magic in their programming. That was really a terrible shame, her powers had made it so easy.

"Yeah, I'm great at stealth, it's just..." Nel said leaning against the wall, her arms still crossed over her chest. Her attitude, mannerism, and speech was very boyish. It made it easier to disguise herself as a guy, "I want to do more, like blow up some stuff every once in awhile."

Aumilia's shields recharged themselves, their full mana supply replenishing. This guy wanted her to come out?

Okay.

Immediately, she sprung out of cover, swinging her staff up. Göttlicher Arm glowed as mana flowed through it, becoming a coherent attack. "Trennmaschine-Schraubbolzen!"

The bolt of sharpened magical energy tore through the air, aimed squarely for Zack's legs. He hadn't shot at her yet, or tried to shoot at her or her allies, so a lethal attack wasn't required. That other soldier, on the other hand, was aiming his gun at her...

"Trennmaschine-Schraubbolzen!"

The bolt went through his helmet, and then his head.

Aumilia landed.

The Librarian's eyes lit up.

"You do? That's wonderful!" she cried. That was absolutely fantastic, well and truly. "Isn't reading just-"

She coughed, hard. She nearly bent double, now going into a full coughing fit. Her sickness had been acting up for the past few days... at first glance, what she coughed up may have been blood... closer inspection revealed that it was almost tar-like.

The Librarian panted for a few moments.

"I'm okay..."

Remma was amused by that last bit.

"So you're a pyromaniac now, Nel?" she asked, her tone gaining a teasing edge. "I've got to tell you, I didn't expect you of all people to be into fire."

"That's definitely not good," Zack remarked, evading the dangerous attack with a leap onto the mech he had taken down himself. He tried draining some of the energy. "Ah so, this purple stuff drains energy too... wait, why am I stood inside it?" Zack asked himself dismounting.

He looked at his opponents. "A kid? That's pretty shocking right there. I don't want to fight a kid but..." Zack stood in a ridiculous fighting pose, "I guess I've gotta play for a while, eh?"

The Cyborg Captain sneered, "Oh? That's it Zack, make yourself useful,"

He saw the other person who was there as well, "Freaking... ARGH!" He lifted his right arm, which was all Robotics and weapons, and it shifted to have a gun pointing out. He aimed the gun at the oncoming Vampire and fired it off, revealing it to be Automatic.

The pilot inside the mecha that had lost energy was sweating and hoping that he'd just be forgotten since he may get to live through this.

Cirno gasped and her mouth opened wide, "What is wrong with the Librarian?" She asked her directly, immediately trying to help her keep from falling.

"Is there something Cirno can do to help?" She asked, her face covered in worry.

Jace laughed nervously, "Just.. taking a stroll, you know. Thinking about stuff," he was more casual at the moment, which was much easier to do when someone was on top of you.

"That's neat," Diana said with a nod. She covered her mouth as she yawned and sat back. 'I should take a nap soon.' She looked around lazily. 'Why is Jace still on the ground? He could have gotten up alrea..dy... Oops.' She quickly got to her feet. "Eheh.. Sorry about that, Jace." She held out her hand to help him up.

"Eheh, that's fine Diana," Jace was used to her jokes. He took the offered hand and stood up.

"So what are you up to? You look kinda tired," He looked her over a bit. He also suddenly got a chill, like someone was looking him over. He looked around but noticed nothing. "Huh..."

The smell of gunpowder and blood permeated through John's nostrils. Screams and shouts can be heard almost everywhere he went. So were gunshots... But he heard most from the SCAR rifle he was utilizing. Periodically, he took cover from various magic spells and bullets speeding across towards him.

Today he was on the side of the mages... Though suspicion eyed him warily for his actions. He didn't care. As long as he was paid, then he's good.

"GAAAAAAH!"

He just killed a group of soldiers from above as he dropped a grenade in their midst. John continued running through the environment to eliminate more targets of interest.

Garret tossed the body aside and followed Niho with large steps. Blood dribbing from his drill, Garret noticed that the gas meter was in halfway of the gauge. "Plenty enough for now...." He said to himself.

Niho skipped along happily, nothing going to happen for a little while at least, as usually between bounty hunters there's a bit of a rest.

"Do you need to rest Mr. G?" She asked, as they kept moving along, now moving away from the mountain.

Lee, having been helped by a healer, made his way around. He wasn't sure where Cirno had gone, but for now he decided to look in this village. It was a quiet peaceful village, so surely if Cirno was here it'd be easy to find her.

"No, i can still keep going, since my genes were altered when i was stitched into this suit i do not require so much sleep. I can still keep going 14 more hours."

Satsuki raised her arm at that moment, muttering under her breathe once again, "Retour au feu."

Suddenly a blast of energy shot out from her hand, engulfing the bullets coming at her and aimed directly at the mecha who was firing them. She had used the energy she had drained from the other mecha to supply the power in the blast she created.

"Pyromaniac? Fire is child's play," Nel stated matter of factly, "I much rather cause a massive explosion. I especially would love to explode a few of those golems the magicy guys make. I bet that would be tons of fun!"

"Trennmaschine-Schraubbolzen!"

One shot streamed toward the energy-drainer who had confronted her. Aumilia immediately turned to adjust her aim, and fire again while the spell was still 'fresh'. With a crack, the bolt of magical energy tore towards the the cyborg captain, aimed to shear through his mechanical arm and help Satsuki out a bit. It was the the best she could do for her ally, at the moment.

"Liking explosions is a part of pyromania too," Remma asserted, intent of teasing the younger saboteur. He was cute, in the standard way children were. "It's settled. You're definitely a pyromaniac."

----

The Librarian leaned against Cirno to suppored herself. The blood red tar-like she had coughed was oozing what was pretty clearly actual blood. She took a deep breath before speaking.

"I'm fine... I'm just a little sick..." she replied. She was always sick, as far back as she could remember. Her voice was still weak.

The Cyborg Captain's arm was blown off, and he was riddled with bullets. "Well ain't this a bitch..." He coughed up blood and oil. He looked back at the cave, "No worries... soon the bombs will go off and you'll still have lost..."

He fell over, smiling at the thought as he died.

Cirno frowned as she held up the Librarian.

"That will not do. Cirno will take The Librarian to bed, where she can rest. Where is The Librarian's Bed?" Cirno asked, looking the Librarian in the face.

Suddenly the small radion on Garrets suits started give static like message. " Return.....Overrun.....protectors program....rebuild:...." With these words the radio went quiet. ".....Need to go back.." Garret said after a small while from the message.

"What?" Niho looked up to Garret, and with her expression asked him what he meant.

"Go where?" She added to the question, suddenly suspicious.

"Back to origin of this.....this suit, from where I came. There's something strange going on down there. I know you would like to come with me....but this time...You can't." Garrets voice echoed from hemlet with slight sadness.

Mr. B did a little spin. Niho glared at him for a moment before turning back to Garret, "Why can't I come with you?" She didn't want to admit it, but she'd grown very fond of him.

Diana yawned again. "Sorry, dark places make me sleepy." She brought her hands up in front of her. "I wasn't really doing anything. I was getting kind of bored. Patty cake?" she asked cheerfully.

Alice glared at Jace. 'I'm not taking my eyes off of you. I'll do anything to protect Diana, so you better not try anything, you little turd.' She blinked. 'Turd? That's not a word I usually use. Diana must be rubbing off on me.' She took a moment to recall the last time Diana found her outside her window. 'Ah, she called me a turd then.. Silly Diana. You aren't supposed to call your best friend a turd.' She shook her head and went back to watching the two of them.

"The place i'm returning into is unnaturaly dangerous. That place would be too dangerous for Mister B and for you. And i don't want any harm come to you. So it's best that i return there without you....Don't worry, you will see me again..." Garret said already turning to opposite direction.

Jace just kind of ... looked at Diana for a second, a grin growing on his face. He wasn't entirely sure if she was joking or not...

Finally he just said, "Ah, I'm... not in the mood right now, heh,"

Niho pouted. Too dangerous? She didn't like it but... he was already leaving. Leaving...

She turned away and ran, and Mr. B followed her at her pace. She was feeling so many emotions she couldn't quite comprehend them herself. Instead of trying she just kept sprinting for now, hoping that she could outrun her sense of abandonment.

"Until another time Niho..." Garret said looking Nihos running back then he kept going, walking toward the direction of ocean.

"Bolt Kick!" Zack hit the cyborg with an electrically amplified drop kick to the robot arm, sending the man-chine to safety and probably breaking a couple of ribs. He landed with a roll and faced the two. "He's annoying, but I can't just let him die, y'know?"

The pilot caught Zack's eye, and the electric wielder peered into the mostly intact mech to see they were still alive. "Ahhh, fuck," He muttered, vaulting over the mech and standing in front of the pilot. 'I should probably find some energy soon, these two ain't gonna be easy.'

On the surface he seemed completely at ease. "Man, you two are good! It's pretty electrifying, right?"

The cyborg Captain went sprawling a ways, rolling a bit before using his mechanical leg to grab the ground and stand up. He shook his head, and then grabbed at his side, "Argh! Crap Zack, ya coulda been a bit more careful about it!" He was breathing heavily, and was staring at the girls in front of him.

He pulled out a grenade, and after pulling the pin, rolled it on the ground towards Satsuki, the one who had shot back his bullets. With her blown up he'd move on to attack the other girl more easily, or at least that was his current plan.

Satsuki looked down at the grenade and nearly laughed at the foolishness of that tactic. As if she wouldn't have noticed something like that moving towards her. It what would some would think a flash, the vampire disappeared.

"Boo," She whispered into the cyborg's ear before grabbing his head and twisting it into an unnatural angle.

"Say what you want about me, Sis," Nel replied, not all that fazed by being called a pyromaniac, "But explosions are the best, and there's nothing better in the world. My goal is to make the biggest, bestest explosion in the entire world!"

Now while the Cyborg's eyes were able to keep up, he hadn't been built up for speed, and only had that of an ordinary human's. So what he experienced at this point was seeing his death coming towards him.

Now she was behind him and he couldn't even do anything about it, as his head was twisted into an odd angle. He couldn't cry out because his throat had been ruined, and he fell to the ground with a clang and thump.
