Hello. I'm Lieutenant Noel Vermillion of the NOL. I've been assigned the strangest mission ever by Major Jin Kisiragi. He sort of threw me in front of a computer and told me to read some weird story involving people like me. Huh. Given his normal attitude towards me, I'm a bit worried about its contents, but maybe he picked out something nice for me to read as a way of apology for his treatment?

Perhaps I should find out, then. This is 'BlazBlue: Divine Trigger'. Interesting title, I think. Could it possibly mean that the Azure Grimoire is some sort of holy activation machine?

Ch.1 The Awakening

Um... may I ask who 'thetrueazure' and 'Miharu' are? Well, I assume they're the co-authors, neglecting their other works to write this particular story. I dunno, shouldn't you finish the others first? Just a thought, but fans of your other stories may not be too happy...

And I don't know why, but I have the strangest urge to just write 'Original the Character. Do not steal!'.

This story takes place in calamity trigger now then let's begin.

Huh, what? Calamity Trigger? What's that, the antithesis of the Divine Trigger? I feel I should know this, but...
Also, why was it randomly italicised?

It was a quite night in the orient town clinic and Dr. Litchi Faye-Ling was getting ready to head out until she heard a loud explosion coming from the lower district of Kagutsuchi she went to go see what it was when she got there she saw a man with white who looked to be around 18 unconscious and hurt on the ground

A 'quite' night? What's that? Didn't anyone else hear or witness this explosive sound? I know the NOL would check out something as suspicious as that! And white what? What white possession did this injured person have? I guess I'll have to read on to find out!

"Hey! Are you alright? Hey wake up!" yelled Litchi as she picked him up

Do doctors normally act like helpless bystanders around unconscious people? Surely she would attempt first aid and not bother with questions when he's clearly unable to respond? Well, I'm no medic, and Litchi is, so I suppose she knows best. She has her own teaching segment, you know.

"Good he's still alive but he's lost a lot of blood I'll have to treat him over at the clinic" said Litchi as she carried him back to the clinic

Since when? There was no mention of blood earlier. Just something white. No way, is his blood white?!

...Shouldn't Litchi be concerned about that, if that's the case?

Well, a few days pass with our injured character under the care of Litchi and her assistant...

"Are you ok?" asked Litchi sitting beside him

"…."the man said nothing

I've always admired the ability to pronounce your silence like that. Really, I have.

"Can you tell me your name" asked Litchi

"I-I don't know" said the man

"You don't know who you are that sucks" said Linhua

Assistant or not, that sounds rather unprofessional. But again, not a medic.

"Anyways are these two swords yours?" asked Litchi giving him the two blades

"I found them right next to you when you were unconscious "said Litchi

Should you be giving an injured amnesiac weapons - which weren't mentioned earlier, by the way? Medic or not, I'm beginning to doubt Miss Faye-Ling's credibility here.

So, upon looking at these swords, a pain erupts in the poor guys head.

"Are you ok?" said Litchi

"I-I think I remember what my name is its Kazuma Ishimaru" said Kazuma

That was a bit convenient, I think.

Anyway, some dialogue that involves telling Kazuma to rest until his wounds heal up, and time skip...

The next day as Litchi was finished with her last client she saw Kazuma he was wearing black jeans with a belt to hold his two swords one sword on each side of his waist he wore a dark blue shirt and a black trench coat over the shirt

Where did he acquire these clothes? I hope he didn't steal them when Litchi wasn't looking. Also, more random italics!

"Are you leaving already?" asked Litchi

"Yeah my wounds are all healed up thank you" said Kazuma

"Where are you going to go?" asked Litchi

"There's someone out there who's gotta know me and I have to find that person" said Kazuma

"Alright then well be careful ok" said Litchi

"Don't worry I will" said Kazuma as he left the clinic he didn't know where to go everything seemed so unfamiliar to him

Just thought I'd illustrate a small error in the writing here, which you may have noticed through out the story already. Just about every sentence with dialogue uses either 'said' or 'asked'. It dulls the reading experience, I feel. Also, the lack of full stops, exclamation marks, or anything that would signify the end of a sentence makes it look like everyone's just getting cut off with every sentence they speak. Poor characters.

...Ha, listen to me, acting like I'm an expert. I can't even get my 'Karl and Remus' original story published

While in his thoughts he noticed someone watching him from afar so he decided to go to a place where there was no people

Does this mean Kazuma essentially noticed someone spying on him while he was daydreaming? In a crowded city?

"Alright come out I know you're out there!" yelled Kazuma

"Heheh I reckon you knew I was watching you the entire time eh son" what Kazuma saw was what looked like a talking cat on his hind legs he seemed to wear a hoody he also carried a sword

Did you have reason to believe this never before seen individual would catch on to your presence? I mean, you kinda stick out, even if you were with a group of Kaka's, but I can only assume you were hiding during your spying, mister...?

"Names Jubei kid" said Jubei

Mister Jubei Kid.

Kazuma drew both of his swords one sword looked to be made out of crystals the other rubies

That's... an odd design choice. Why make your swords look like decorations instead of actual weapons?

Well, Jubei doesn't want a fight, instead...

"I'm here to tell you where to go now kid" said Jubei

"Ok so where am I suppose to go" said Kazuma

"You have to go to the NOL headquarters it's just on that mountain over there" said Jubei pointing at the mountain

"So over there I can find out who I am thank you Jubei sir" said Kazuma

You seem strangely trusting of the talking cat who was just spying on you and is now telling you to go to HQ, located way up on a mountain that honestly isn't that easy a climb.

...Okay, so you're talking to a legendary hero, but I kind of doubt you realise that!

"Don't you worry kid I'm doing this cause I want to by the way before I forget those two swords you have there are one in the same kid" said Jubei

"What do you mean?" asked Kazuma

"Reckon you've gotta figure that out yourself kid" said Jubei

"Ok I'll see you later" said Kazuma as he left

Why? What reason could there be for Kazuma to learn why his swords are apparently the same thing? Will it lead to an epiphany about himself? Will it unlock a latent power? Could you elaborate please?

And why does Kazuma just accept this and stroll along?

...I'm beginning to think the Major's trying to annoy me in some way by making me read this. Well, regardless, this is a mission I must finish, so I shall read on!

As Kazuma was leaving he was wondering what Jubei meant about his swords being one in the same but he wasn't watching where he was going and ran into someone both the person and him hit the floor

Jeez, how clumsy. Actually, since Kazuma was daydreaming, the other person must be at fault for not noticing him!

"Ow I'm sorry I wasn't watching where I was going" said Kazuma as getting up he saw a girl who was almost as tall as he was she also looked to be about Kazuma's age

"I'm sorry I was just thinking about something" said the girl trying to get up until Kazuma held out his hand

"Your not the only one who was spacing out I'm the one at fault here" said Kazuma as the girl took his hand

"M-my apologies" said the girl

"Why are you apologizing you didn't do anything wrong" said Kazuma

And they won't stop apologising to each other! Who does that?

Kazuma reveals he doesn't know about vigilante's and his predicament to the clumsy girl...

"Nice to meet you Kazuma my name is Noel Vermillion I'm a Lieutenant for the NOL" said Noel

... :/

"Your from the NOL" said Kazuma

*Sigh* Yes, I just said that >.>

"I'm sorry but I have a favor to ask you" said Kazuma

"A favor what is it?" asked Noel

"I believe that the NOL might have some information about who I am but I'm sorta lost can you escort me there" asked Kazuma scratching the back of his head

I feel like I should say something witty here. Uh... "You know, because the NOL will totally have documents on someone who has never been seen, mentioned, referenced, acknowledged or known in any way!"

...I'll work on it, I promise! ^.^;;

"It looks like we are both going to the library but I don't know where to go either" said Noel

Um... isn't the branch... like, right there. On that mountain? Surely I would know this?

SUDDENLY DANGER

"Noel get down!" said Kazuma drawing his swords

Noel didn't think she just ducked behind Kazuma as he slash through what seemed to be shurikens

"Oh man not him again" said Noel

Hey, I'm not so timid that I'd just hide behind a stranger at the first sign of danger!

...Right?

"The protector of love and justice Bang Shishigami is here!" said Bang as he appeared before Kazuma and Noel

"I thought I lost him" said Noel

Because apparently I was being chased. Silly me, thinking I could escape an incredibly loud and boisterous ninja >.<

"You there you won't get away from me I'll make you pay for what you did to my cute little disciple Carl" yelled Bang

"I told you he attacked me" said Noel

"Like I'd believe your lies" said Bang as he came in for an attack but Kazuma blocked it

I hate when Bang thinks I hit Carl. It's not my fault! He set his sister on me, and I don't like pain!

Also, I wonder how Kazuma blocked Bang's attack? His swords? His face? A familiar?

"I will be your opponent" said Kazuma as Bang jumped back

"Very well then let's go" said Bang as he rushed him

Noel was confused this person only knew her for a short time and already he's protecting her she was also wondering why he wasn't moving

I already know the reason why I myself wasn't moving to help or break them up; all fights are one-on-one. No exceptions. It's a bit of a weird law, especially in war.

"Take this Critical Super Crash!" yelled Bang as both of his hands burst into flames

-Gasp- Bang's using that?! Oh my, Kazuma's seriously screwed now! This technique, capable of bruising the Red Devil himself, is but one of four steps required for Bang to reach his true potential! To be subject to this attack so early in the fight is a clear sign that Bang will waste no ti-

but Kazuma blocked it with one of his swords

Ah, right. Perfect Guard technique >.< Disregard please.

"Is that your best" said Kazuma as he used the second swords hilt to strike Bang

Just as easily Bang flew back and hit the floor hard

"How could I lose so easily" said Bang punching the floor

I... have no idea, Bang. Really. It's not like you were handicapped :/

Thetrueazure is more evil because he ended this chapter in a cliffhanger? I have to say, it's not a very evil act. Or much of a cliffhanger, considering the fight was finished in a second. Unless there's a round 2.

Anyway, I managed to finish the first chapter. I have to say, despite the... lack of of literary skill, it doesn't seem that bad. Why would the major force me to read this? Perhaps he truly wanted to find a story I'd enjoy?

Well, I'll find out soon enough. Once I'm finished with my break ^.^
