NOW PRACTICING: REGN VS VERA FROM WORLD TOURNAMENT

VERA GOES FIRST

[Simply David]

Vera steps forward, raising her hands, "Pierce!" She formed icicles in the air, firing them at Regn.

(Vera uses Command: Pierce, and rolls six successes)

Regn is caught a little flat-footed at the surprise attack, and some of the icicles scratch him.

[Regn uses three power points to defend, and rolls 5 successes. Victory Point to Vera!]

Sensing this'll be a tough fight, Regn immediately uses Thundorcharge to boost his movements!

[Regn rolls 5 successes, increasing his Brawn to 9.]

[Regn now has 5 power.]

Vera smiles at her work, then raises her hands again. Deciding to keep up the assault, she fires off another set of icicles.

(Vera uses Command: Pierce, with 9 successes)

(Vera now has 4 power)

Regn dodges the icicle barrage, this one even more intense than the last.

[Regn spends 3 power, and rolls 14 successes out of 28 rolls.]

ROUND 4

Regn doesn't have much power left, so he puts up a Thundorbarrier with his remaining power, hoping to buy time to recharge. His Thundorcharge is now out of power.

[Regn rolls 3 successes out of 12 rolls.]

[Regn's power is now 0.]

[ROUND 5]

Vera decides not to fix what isn't broken, realizing that he didn't seem to have much strength left and was relying on a fairly flimsy shield. Smiling a bit at what she assumed would be her imminent victory, she shouted, "Pierce!"

(Vera uses Command: Pierce once more, rolling seven successes)

(Vera's power is now 1)

With no power to dodge, the icicles power through the barrier, slashing at Regn.

[Vera ends Round 5 with 2 victory points. No victor! Rematch! ROLL FOR INITIATIVE]

Regn, however, seems to still be standing! And he seems to have recharged! However, that attack has stunned him long enough for Vera to attack again.

Vera sighs, realizing the fight wasn't going to be over yet. Having also recharged, she put on a focused expression and began to glow slightly, saying a short chant under her breath.

(Vera uses Ice God's Template, with 2 successes out of 7)

(Vera now has 9 power)

Regn brings back up his Thundorcharge, this time hoping to be more prepared for attacks and not so wasteful of energy.

[Thundorcharge, 6 successes out of 12. Brawn is now 10, power is at 8.]

Vera, noticing her opponent was going to be taking this quite seriously now, raised her hand and fired a burst of ice to freeze Regn in place, hoping this would hold him down for her next attack.

She also sustains her Ice God's Template.

(Vera used Command: Freeze, 5 successes out of 18. Used 3 power, 6 power left)

[Round 4]

Regn smirks, and raises his hand to attack Vera. "THUNDORBOLT!"

What could only be called a pathetic blast of electricity emits from his hand. "Well then." He gets blasted by the ice, frozen in place for the moment.

[Thundorbolt, 1 success out of 12... to start with. Counter negates it completely.]

[Regn sustains Thundorcharge. -3 power, for 5 total.]

Vera was certain at this point she could win, but didn't let up, "Pierce!" She raised her arms once more, prepping more icicles.

(Command: Pierce, 14 successes out of 27. She drops her surge, so only 3 power spent, leaving her at 3)

BATTLE RESTART

WE HECKED UP HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS

ROLL FOR INITIATIVE!!

VERA GOES FIRST. *AGAIN*

The above was merely a mirage!

Vera comes across a man with gorgeous hair. Deciding that he must be her opponent, she immediately prepares for the assault.

Chanting quietly, her body glows and her hair flows gently, "Are you ready?" She states, raising her hands.

(Ice God's Template is used, 2 of 7 successes, Vera has 9 Savvy, and 9 power remaining)

Regn smiles at her opponent. "Not using the element of surprise? I guess I owe you." His body starts crackling with electricity, his hair standing on end.

[Used Thundorcharge, 7 successes out of 12. Brawn is now 11, power is 8.]

Round 2

Vera smirks, "You don't," She quickly raised her hands, "Pierce!" She summoned a set of sharp icicles, before firing them off in a swarm at her opponent.

(Command: Pierce, 10 of 27 successes. Sustained Surge, so power is now 5)

[Regn spends two Power to dodge. 10 successes out of 22.]

Regn seems to almost literally disappear as he dodges between each icicle with ease. "Alright, my turn! Thundorbolt!" He suddenly appears in front of Vera, his hand raised and crackling with electricity. A beam shoots out of it, ready to fry her.

[Thundorbolt, 4 out of 12 successes; defended by Brawn.]

[Regn spends 1 power to maintain his Buff. His power is now down to 3.]

(Vera spends 2 power to dodge. 8 successes out of 10)

Vera had watched his movements as he dodged closely, and was therefore prepared for his sudden close range attack. She nimbly reached up, pulling herself up and over him, doing a flip to land behind him, entirely avoiding the bolt.

(ROUND 3)

"Hah, not even close! Now, Freeze!" She blasted a burst of ice to cover him over completely if she could. If this didn't work well, she'd be left quite defenseless.

(Vera used Freeze, 7 successes out of 18. Vera's surge ends, and her power is left at 1)

[Regn spends 2 power to block. 7 successes out of 22.]

Regn steps out of the way lightning-quick, as the saying goes. He backs off a little, seemingly biding his time. "You're no pushover!"

[Regn spends his turn recharging, granting him 5 power. Spending 1 power on his Surge, he is now at 5 power again.]

(ROUND 4)

Vera breathes heavily, realizing that she missed, but he hadn't immediately counter attacked, "As if I would be!" She leaned back, getting ready for whatever was going to happen next.

(Vera spends her turn recharging, recovering 5 power and putting her at 6 left)

Regn erects a Thundorshield, seeming to dare Vera to attack again. He strikes a pose, preparing for his next attack as well.

[Thundorshield: 5 successes out of 12. Keeping the Surge going, he is now at 2 power.]

(ROUND 5)

Vera narrows her eyes, and reaches back her hands. She had to break through that shield and hit him at the same time. This has to work! "Ice, Pierce him!" She fired off a cycle of icicles, ready to pierce him should they hit. They didn't seem to be very steady for some reason, however.

(Command: Pierce, 5 successes out of 21. Vera has 3 power left)

Regn grins at the attack. As soon as the icicles hit his shield, an electric current forms that zaps each icicle in turn, and ultimately Vera, causing only Vera to receive damage.

[Regn spends 1 power on his defense. 2 successes out of 11, plus 5 is 7. 1 point spent to maintain Thundorcharge.]

JENRI VS JEANETTE

ROUND 1

Jenri poses as elegantly as she think she can, sword pointed at her foe. "I'm going to defeat you! Prepare yourself!"

[Jenri uses "I will win!" 4 out of 7 successes, Brawn is now 7. Power is 9.]

"Oh, you wanna rumble?" says Jeanette, grinning. "I've got some down time to kill,"

Jets of flame erupt under her feet, lifting her into the air.

[Jean uses "Fiery Feet" 8 out of 12 successes. Brawn is now 12 Power is now 8]

Jenri refuses to allow herself to be daunted! "Here I gooooo!" She charges, using her sword to slash at the enemy!

[Sword Slash, 3 successes out of 7!]

[With the Surge upkeep, power is now at 7]

Jeanette nimbly flies out of the way of the blade.

"Wow, that really could have hurt if you hit something with it," she said. "Let me show you how to hit someone..."

She clenched her hand into a fist; and a jet of flames propelled it towards the young knight's stomach.

"ROCKET ROUNDHOUSE!" she declared.

[Jeanette used "Rocket Roundhouse" 10 wins out of 24. Power is now at 2]

[Jenri uses 3 power to block, bringing power down to 4. 10 successes out of 21]

Jenri blocks the punch with her shield, and the exchange of power between the two seems equal. "Tch... we'll just see about that!" She rushes forward with her shield, hoping to hurt the other girl with it.

[Shield Rush, Counter technique. 2 successes. Surge upkeep, 1 power left.]

[Jean doesn't attack the counter, due to lack of power.]

Jean stayed out of the way of the knight. She was running low on power. She would have to recharge before attacking. Though she couldn't let her opponent know that.

Since she was costing herself energy just by staying in the air, she landed on the ground.

"I don't need to fly to beat you down," she said.

[Jean recharged. Power is now 7]
