Medieval RP: The kingdoms of Ardania and Derangia

Connor took the horses to nearby patch and made sure they couldn't wander off on their own. giving horses the resting chance. he gathered few rocks aand placed them into circle from where the camp fire wouöd be so that the fire wouldn't spread. "Now to wait Airen for the wood he as gathered." Connor said crouching down.

Jack smiled. This guy was pretty impressive. He relaxed his own hand, which had grasped a potion, also out of reflex. He may be cute but that didn't make him trustworthy right?

Anyway.... "That's fine, that's fine. Just shows me you're reliable," He noticed a small plant he hadn't ever seen before. That perked his curiosity so he plucked it for further investigation later.

"Kitty Kat take a break for now and keep an eye on Barny boy, I'm making my move," The man dancing beside his sister had whispered to her before making his off the stage. He'd have to move quickly before any of the queen's guards noticed him. He spotted the queen easily, that distinctive pink hair being very hard not to spot.

Casually he bumped into the woman lightly, as if it were by mere accident, "My apologies your highness, I was not paying attention."

"Oh it's fine, no harm do-" When she looked up to address the man, he had already gone. Peculiar. Then on the floor she spotted, a slip of paper the man must have dropped. She picked it up and opening it up, skimming over the contents. Her expression grew grave. Whoever that man was.. if he was right, then Ardania's time of peace was soon coming to an end.

Lyra, meanwhile, had spotted the blonde 'girl' going to hide under the table she was eating at and gave a strange look. After a moment, she just shrugged it off, going back eating her cake, "Weird humans and their strange customs..."

"Alright, good luck," Catarina had whispered back to Lukas before he left the stage. Stopping her dance, she stepped down off the stage and put her shawl around her shoulders. She stood at the foot of the stage, smirking and watching Barny dance.

Well, that was until he went and hid under a table. How cute. Well, she decided he needed a break so.. she'd let him rest a bit, then torment him some more later.

Alice stood next to the princess, her expression unenthusiastic as she scanned the crowd for any threats. She saw someone bump into the queen, and it made her take a step forward, but it seemed no harm was done. Still, when the queen stood back up, holding a piece of paper, her expression had turned.. grave. It made Alice feel even more uneasy.. but she didn't want to approach the queen just yet.

Instead, she continued following the princess around, her hand on the handle of her sword. She stayed a respectful distance away and never let her eyes linger on the princess for too long. Still, the fleeting glances she did send in her direction kept reminding her how stunning the princess looked in the dress. It seemed even more beautiful now that she was out amongst the people of the party, and not merely in her room.

Alice quickly shook those thoughts off, even if they were a nice distraction from her brooding.

(Uhm...I had Barny go hide under a table because people wouldn't leave him alone. He's sulking right now......so....)

Candy was walking around now, trying to distract herself by talking to various people of the country. It was working until she saw that her mother looked...troubled? Candy wondered on it but decided it wouldn't be good party talk.

She shrugged and shook the hand of a particular noble. "Oh no," She thought, as she realised this man was the first she had ever turned down a proposal from. He tried to talk to her but she gave him a half-hearted smile and tried to think of a way to escape without being rude. He was talking about his estate again... and comparing it to the castle. Something about smaller but more elegant, and how nice it was to live there. "Ugh, this is all he EVER talks about..." She thought to herself, keeping on her 'smile' and nodding every few sentences.

Airen had quick eyes and noticed Jack's hand move away from his potion, but he was tactful enough not to comment on that.

"Yes, thank you for saying so," he said, watching as the other man plucked a plant nearby. "Now did you need something from me? I'm just about to head back to camp."

Milano noticed one of the dancers taking a break. One of her orders were to make sure they were well hydrated so she walked over to the scantly clad woman. She held in her hand a tray of wine and she kept her usual calm expression, but she couldn't help but to blush slightly at how underdressed the other woman was, "Drinks, Miss?"

Alice fought back a smile when Candy shook the hand of one noble man. She, too, remembered him.. and he seemed basically the same as when she had seen him before. He had asked the princess to marry him, and at first it had seemed like a proper enough match, even though for some reason it always made her uncomfortable when the princess was proposed too. Even now, she felt a knot form in her stomach from the memory, but it vanished when she remembered just how much the princess disliked this man.

It was her duty to protect the princess from all things unpleasant, right? Walking up, she stood a respectful distance away from the man and the princes, her hands behind her back in a militaristic stance that felt more familiar than a maid's bow. She quickly corrected this, though, when she saw the man's dubious look. Bowing, she spoke in her professional tone of voice, like any regular maid.

"My princess, my lord, I am terribly sorry for interrupting, but the princess is needed elsewhere, as a member of the royal council wishes to speak with her."

Oh, goodness. What a cute maid, the dancer thought, a catlike grin forming on her face. She wanted to jump the poor thing here and now.. but she had to act subtle, professional, and above all, just as elegant as she appeared.. if not.. under-clothed. When the maid got close enough, she relaxed her smile as not to come off as.. creepy.

"Thank you very much," she cooed, reaching out and taking a wine glass, the took a sip and made a happy sound. It not only quenched her thirst, but made her feel even more relaxed and cheerful. "And please, my name is Catarina, feel free to refer to me as such."

Reaching out, she place one hand under the wine tray to help steady it, then took hold of one of Milano's hands and kissed the back of it. "And you are?"

Candy quickly took up on this even though the noble tried to keep her, "Oh yes, this must be quite important, I'll see you around, nobleman. This is a party after all!" She smiled and walked past Alice, waiting for her to catch up.

"Who needed to talk to me?" She asked, looking around for who Alice had meant.

Barny sighed. He couldn't spend the whole time under this table, right? He quietly snuck out on the side with less people, and grabbed himself a nice snack.

After quickly gulping down the food, he walked around the party, deciding to enjoy the party until he got a signal from Lukas. He didn't actually have a job, he was just a tagalong really who enjoyed following Lukas into dangerous circumstances. Of course, right now there was nothing stopping him from having some fun right?

The maid could feel the heat rise in her cheeks. This dancer was being so forward. She was so unused to flirting, her queen not to waste time when 'playing' with her maids. It made Milano's stomach twist into knots, yet she did not know why.

"M-my name?" Milano said as she pulled her hand away from the other woman, "It's Milano, Miss Catarina."

But before Milano could say anymore, an older man walked up to Catarina and tapped her on the shoulder, "It's time to go Kitty Kat, go get our little pretty princess over there."

The man said as he motioned toward Barny by the snack table.

Alice bowed to the noble again and quickly caught up with Candy as she walked off. She walked to the left of and slightly behind her, her hands resting on her front in proper maid posture.

At the princess's question, Alice fought back a smile, keeping her expression as professional and calm as possible. She spoke in a low voice. "No one, my princess. I merely knew that you disliked talking to the particular noble, so I decided to.. assist you." She looked over at Candy and gave her the slightest of smiles. "I hope that wasn't out of line, my princess."

"Milano~" Catarina essentially purred out a name, hr smile brightening when she saw the slight red tint on the maid's cheeks. Good to know she still could flirt with the best of them. It was then she realized she had used her real name instead of her stage name, and she mentally berated herself for that one. Still, she had told everyone else her stage name who asked.. so she was sure it'd be okay.

At the tap on her shoulder, and turned around. By the time Lukas finished speaking, Catarina's cheerful expression had turned into a childish pout. "Aww.. why do you always have to ruin my fun when I'm talking to a cute girl." She sighed, then looked over at Milano. Winking, she gave her a little wave. "Well, I'll see you later then, mica mea floare~"

Walking about, it didn't take her long to spot Barny. Going over, she grabbed him by the hand and pulled him along. "Come along, dear little girl, we're leaving now~"

Candy blushed a bit, before saying, "Thank you, Alice. You are right, but it would be improper for me to express something like that..." She sighed. She loved having someone like this as her personal guard.

Barny had just seen this very pretty young girl, and was going to walk over to her when his hand was grabbed, "What? No!" He wanted to fight back but not even he was dumb enough to cause a big scene in a situation like this. He fought back all his protests as he struggled only slightly against the pull before finally walking along.

Jack nodded. He wanted to be tactful about it, "I was wondering what your opinion of me is, as a person," The question sounded odd, and now he asked it he wondered if there was maybe a better way to figure it out.

Airen didn't know whether to lift his eyebrows in disbelief or scrunch them up in confusion. He has never been asked such a question before and it was certainly strange for him.

"Well, considering I have only just met you, I'm not entirely sure," he said, choosing his words carefully. He did not want to insult the other man, that was for sure. "But you seem to be a very competent man. Confident and sure of himself and battle ready. I respect that in a person."

He lifted a hand to fiddle with his mask, but when he realized what he was doing he dropped it with a light flush.

"We should head back to camp," he said a bit awkwardly and then started walking.

Jack sighed, "Yeah, they're probably waiting on us," He didn't hear what he wanted to hear, but he shouldn't expect much. The fidget at the end was worth the attempt though. He'd have to catch him off guard.

He walked beside Airen back to the camp.

It didn't take long to return to camp. Airen saw that Connor made a fire pit and he nodded at the squire in thanks before squatting down and arranging the kindling. After making a little teepee of some sticks, he stuffed some dry grass beneath it and then took out a knife and a piece of flint from a pouch. He struck the flint with his knife to produce some sparks; it took a few tries but he eventually had a fire started.

"All right, there's the fire," Airen said as he straightened, putting back his knife and flint. "Did you get anything good in your foraging Jack?"

Connor now was too looking at Jack ready to hear what he had found. unless he was just relaxing somewhere. Letting others do the work. He placed another piece of wood into firepit while listening.

Jack nodded, and pulled out some mushrooms and a few pieces of what looked like weeds, "Most people don't realise the nutritional value of these plants," he said, smiling brightly.

Winni did not seem to like this idea, thinking that these plants can't possibly be good to eat. She made a note to make sure he ate some of it before her.

Jack set them into a container he produced from his person and created a roticery(sp?) on which he hung the container. He pulled out a small vial from which he added a slight seasoning, which would make the meal taste better.

The smell from the seasoning seemed to be enough to push away all of Winni's fears, as she in fact said, "Oh wow~ What a smell!"

"Of course, my princess. My duty is to serve you, after all." She bowed, and her familiar smile had vanished by the time she stood up straight again, her expression back to that of a reserved and proper maid, but also with the slightly stern eyes of a bodyguard.

As the party dragged on, she glanced up at the large grandfather clock a distance away. "My princess, are you tired yet? It is starting to get late, and this party has been going on for quite some time."

Candy sighed, her feet had been hurting for a while now in fact. Proper shoes were soooo annoying no matter how cute they were.

"Yes, I think it would be best for me to return to my room. At this point, everyone is simply drunk and enjoying themselves well enough, they won't notice my absence," She held back a yawn, which would of course be quite improper.

"Would you escort me back to my room please, Alice?" She asked, smiling at her.

Alice smiled a bit upon seeing Candy hold back a yawn, in order to remain proper in front of all these.. drunken nobles. She'd never understand the pleasure one got out of being so intoxicated you couldn't properly function. Maybe it was just something the wealthy did.

"Of course, my princess. I would be my pleasure." That, and she certainly wasn't leaving her alone when there were a bunch of drunk young men wandering around the castle doing who knows what. She wasn't about to let her princess get harmed in anyway, or lose her purity to anyone but the future husband she chooses.

Walking to the side off and slightly behind Candy, she walked with her back to her room.

Candy walked gracefully back to her room, the walk there was quiet. She was too quiet to actually think of anything, and the one man they passed she was too innocent to realise he was looking her and Alice over with a creepy pair of eyes. of course he was not foolish enough even while drunk to do something stupid with the princess...

They arrived at the room and she began to undress, asking Alice for help with the back.

"Hmmm, really delicious aroma there. What was that you just added?" Connor asked nodding at Vial.

Airen stayed silent as he watched Jack work, but he too thought that the aroma was tantalizing. He could already feel his stomach growl from the smell alone.

Jack smirked, "It's a se-cr-et~" he made a sort of giggle to himself at it. The truth is people were much less willing to eat his food when he actually said what was in it.

As he finished it up, he served it over to everyone, and Winni quickly ate down her serving, while Jack savored the flavors he created, and looked at people's faces in curiosity of what they thought.

Airen pulled down his mask as he took his portion of the meal. He scooped up a spoonful, blew on it to cool it a bit, then ate it. The flavors instantly burst on his tongue and he couldn't help but moan softly.

"That is delicious," he said. "Better then what I can cook."

Connor couldn't but simply give hearthful laugh at Airen's Moan from food. "Wow, that's just my heart skip a beat " He said before tasting himself suddenly beating his own chest with his own fist. "This also Made my hearth skip..." He said after the suprising rich taste. He held back his own moan when he took another bite. "Delicious..~ " He said while holding back.

Jack was satisfied, and held back his laughter best he could at the reactions.

He finished his own, and let out a sigh of satisfaction. Despite it not being much, his special ingredient and the initial herbs were actually a very filling combination.

Winni had finished a while ago, and had crawled into a sleeping bag to rest.

(I'm good for a time skip, by the way. Almost everyone is complete for the night and going to bed. Unless there's one last thing anyone wants to do with their characters we can move on to the next day)

(How can we time skip when there's still a party going one at the castle? o3o)

(The party's pretty much over. The time skip will be waiting on our camping peoples I think)
