Medieval, Kingdoms of Ardania and Derangia - Repowered

Post by Simply David on Wed 04 Apr 2012, 10:28 pm

A special Chat just for the wonderful citizens of Ardania and Derangia!

[ Copy this | Start New | Full Size ]

-

In the Kingdom of Ardania, There are many skilled and popular knights, and there are court wizards of great intelligence. The people of the kingdom are generally satisfied with their queen and the princess, and the various nobles scattered about.

Things have been pretty tense lately though. A knight had gone berserk on the castle grounds, apparently having beaten a maid and killed several guards on his way out. This was only the latest in ill omens as the kingdom of Derangia, with their dragon riding armies, has been looming over the kingdom of Ardania and the people are afraid of what is likely to be a war.

-------------

The day was a peaceful and sunny day, just a few clouds drifting along with no sign of bad weather in sight. One could almost forget the politics of the time and just sleep the day away.

The princess was busy with her lessons, currently in the middle of ballet.

The knights were in training, and townsfolk went about their business as usual. So far an uneventful day like the one before, nothing of interest going on it seemed...

Rosalie leaned on one hand. The overhanging roof outside her mansion made it so she didn't really have to worry about keeping her parasol open until she decided to go out somewhere. The stone table she had arranged there was a nice spot to contemplate her gardens. They were quite lovely, various plants purchased from all over. It was her maid, Maylene, who had planted them all. Understandably, given her nature, it was not for the best for Rosalie to attempt to do this herself. Still, she got to look at them, and it was nice. However, today she was leaving the house. Maylene would care for it herself, as usual.

Rosalie Kreuz, the vampire child, was going to leave the grounds of her property and venture out into the world once more.

----

Seraphi Klein was relaxed. This spot by the river, it was nice. The sun shone down right on it, it was peaceful... it was a good place to rest for a while while they traveled to the next town. It should be pretty close, Seraphi guessed. She wasn't entirely sure, but it seemed about right given how many travelers they had come across recently. There were usually less travelers when you were far from towns, and more near them. They'd seen quite a few, recently. Seraphi stretched, relaxing. It was a good day, certainly.

Meanwhile, the former monstrous being from the depths, the little girl known as 'Lolly', stood by the water's edge and looked in. It reminded her of things, like places in the depths and other creatures who were like what she used to be. They were kind of mean, in retrospect. At the moment, Lolly was just a bit too warm, and the water looked nice and cool... Clearly, tipping forward into it without even removing the nice dress Seraphi had bought for her was a good idea.

She did just that.

----

Today was a good day!

Ariselli had already talked to some people, and even convinced them to join the church! They had already been considering it, and her words swayed them to truly join! It was nice knowing she had succeeded, and they seemed like very nice people too. The town was full of people, today... She wondered how many of them would consider becoming part of the church. Even if they didn't... if they had any problems, any at all, she'd help out!

She'd-

Ariselli ran headfirst into another person.

Clarice, for her part, was enjoying the river, swimming around in it and generally making the most of clean water in close proximity. It was nice to be upstream for once; she never fancied splashing around in the sullied fluid that exited most towns and claimed to be 'water'. Her fun was interrupted for a second when a shadow appeared above her. It was almost certainly a child and, given the only child likely to be around was unlikely to swim...

Like a bizarrely well-trained dolphin, Clarice shot out of the river, pushing Lolly to the ground and ending up barely not squashing her, the top half of her body supported by her arms and her tail resting to one side. After a few seconds of this began to get a bit tiring, she rolled until she was lying beside her... somewhat odd, adopted daughter.

"If you want to follow Mama into the water, Lolly, you need to be naked and you need to ask if it's okay," the lamia admonished, wrapping one arm around the child and hugging her tight, partially because she didn't want Lolly rushing off again but mostly because she was a bit too affectionate. She was certain there was some shallower waters further upstream, however, so...

"Please be careful, little girl," Vivace asked, after turning to see who had so rudely jostled her and pushing the child back a bit. Maybe if the girl had paid some attention to what she was doing rather than, the scribe guessed, having her nose buried in a book, this wouldn't have happened...

Lolly was caught just before she hit the water... and was soaked anyways because Clarice was rather damp from all the swimming. She blinked, sitting in the lamia's arms with a rather perplexed expression. She did not speak yet. She wasn't entirely sure of what to say to what Clarice had said. But she still wanted to go in the water, that was for sure... And now she was all soaked in water and itchy.

Seraphi, startled by the load splash, quickly turned to see Clarice holding Lolly tightly.

"What happened?!" she cried, rushing over to them.

----

Ariselli blinked and she was pushed back a little. She looked up at the person who'd done it... it was a girl who was certainly physically older then she was. Though she wasn't sure if that was actually the case. Oh, well. Time to greet her! "Hi! I'm Priestess Artelwell of the Temple of the Youthful Death Goddess! I'm out to see if anyone is interested in our religion, or if anyone needs any help!"

----

A black and red parasol bobbed down the road...

Rosalie was heading to town.

It seemed that no matter the continent, forests were never any different.

Sure, you could stick a different tree there, a differently-shaped flower at that bit, but at the end of the day, it was the same old scenery.

Not that Makoto really minded. It made exploring this continent slightly easier. Gave her familiar surroundings to return to if she needed that kind of reassurance.

This whole place had been fairly interesting, much different from back home. The samurai here seemed a tad more chivalrous, though she hadn't spotted any ninjas. Were they that awesome here?

"...Oh?" Makoto noticed a small figure on the ground up ahead, slumbering under a tree. A girl in black clothing. What was she doing on her own way out here?

Makoto approached the girl, kneeling before her. She looked sound asleep... it seemed a shame to wake her, but this seemed an odd place to sleep.

"Hey." The kitsune spoke gently. "Little girl, what're ya doing way out here?"

"Lolly tried to go swimming," Clarice explained, letting go of the girl, "And I stopped her. We need to go downstream a bit, it looks like there's a shallower point down there."

With that, the lamia slipped back into the current and followed it, efficiently disappearing from sight for a few minutes as she went to check, before reappearing slightly more slowly and confirming that there was indeed somewhere suitable for teaching their 'daughter' to swim, or to at least make a start on it.

"I don't suppose you can provide any financial help or need magical tomes copied?" Vivace asked hopefully, skipping the bit about how the little girl was a priestess and latching onto the fact that she might be able to escape her current financial difficulties without a sign of any repercussions. That would... that would be perfect, especially as the current political noise looked like it would ruin business again...

Damn magicians, getting themselves killed in battle.

"Sleeping..." the sleeping girl automatically replied, rolling over and cuddling her bunny rabbit tighter. Behind her, the scythe slipped to one side, falling through the tree roots and generally giving the impression that it wasn't there to be uncomfortable to lay on. Maria had been walking all night and, now that the sun was well up and she couldn't really see what was going on, had chosen to try and get some sleep. She was a deep sleeper, that was for sure.

"Lolly... wants... to... swim... like... Mother," replied Lolly, looking up at one of two adopted mothers. It had been an odd experience, being adopted by two mortal beings after being summoned and locked into her much nicer true form. But... they were nice people, and Lolly could speak now. That was much better then the previous lack of knowledge of any languages.

Seraphi nodded, and started guiding her 'daughter' in the direction that Clarice had indicated. At first, she was worried that Lolly had been unhappy becoming their 'daughter'. She had been wrong. The former elder thing had taken to it well... though the fact that she didn't get that stealing was wrong, or how metaphors worked, posed some issues. Some very serious issues. But... educating her... maybe it was helping? It was hard to tell. Maybe teaching her to swim would help her learning process or something...

----

"Um... I can't just give you money, and I don't have any magical tomes... I have my holy books, though!" replied Ariselli cheerfully, extricating several thick black books from her robes and holding them up towards the taller girl. "I don't think I have anything magical for you to copy, at least... are you interested in the Youthful Death Goddess?"

----

The road widened, as the town sprawled before her.

With a smile, Rosalie headed to town.

"This really the best place, cutie?" Makoto asked with a small laugh. Well, the girl looked content. Probably immovable. The kitsune's bright green eyes flickered over to the scythe, causing her to wonder just what this girl was. That certainly didn't look like your average farming tool.

...Oh well.

Makoto planted herself on the ground before Maria, her nine incredibly fluffy tails now being used as a makeshift blanket. She didn't mind sitting there for a little while, and the girl could use something nice to cuddle into, at least. Though if Makoto knew if she were near a town, she could just carry her to an inn or something... and worry about payment later.

Rosalie might notice an unusual woman walking in front of her. Not merely because of the many strange markings that adorned her body, or the fact that she had eight scimitars dangling in black scabbards on her back... no, she was unusual because she NEEDED eight swords in the first place.

The woman had eight arms. Eight oddly-jointed arms came from her shoulders, four of which were playing a lute softly, while the other four were behind her head, clasped in pairs of two. Evana hummed a moment, strumming the lute with two hands, and then began to sing softly.

"If you come to me tonight...

I'll make sure that you're alright...

We'll be up 'till the break of dawn...

And... you'll be... out of those... johns?"
Evana frowned. "No, no, that wasn't it. Dammit. Why can't I remember that song? How am I supposed to charm the ladies without it?"

Lily sighed as she looked at the disorganized mess that was her "shipping wall".

Into the wall, several names were carved into it; with several arrows connecting them. These arrows represented the relationships of the various people in the castle; as well as the people Lily planned to ship together.

At the moment, however, Lily was in the process of crossing out the names of people that were no longer there; and circle the names of people whose names she wasn't sure whether or not to cross out yet.

She also had several new names to add, though she hadn't drawn any lines for them yet. She hadn't had much time to get to know them, and hadn't really considered pairings for them yet.

"I need a new wall," she said. "Fuck this, I'm gonna go annoy Alice,"

--

Polly smiled as she rode towards Ardania. She was on the way back from a rather long quest for the magical orb of something or other (she couldn't remember the name); and was definately in need of a shower.

She would also need to figure out what to do with her new passenger; currently riding in a rather embarrassing location.

"Um, Dragon?" she said. "Are you absolutely possitive you need to ride between my breasts?"

Even with the day being relatively peaceful and 'normal' around the castle, all knew of the impending threat from Derangia. None more so than the inhabitants of the castle, where soldiers have begun their strict training regiments, knights duel to hone their skills, and even the common workstaff seems ready for just about anything. As ready as any of them can be, at least.

A member of said staff, one who lingers in a grey area between knight and maid, had already been awake since the break of dawn, getting everything ready and making sure all the members of the maid-staff knew their jobs for the day. Alice, already a light sleeper, had spent most of the night awake, plans of action always on her mind. In addition to her work schedule, she worried about how her training was going, if the castle was prepared for an attack, if all the secret escape passages were free of debris so the princess and queen could be easily evacuated.

You know, common things like that.

Somewhat drowsy, she jolted as she looked out the window, noting the time of day via the position of the sun. Noting that it was almost time for the Princess's ballet lessons to end, she finished posting the work schedule on the board near the Servant's quarters before heading down the hallway. She swiftly turned down another corridor and when she reached the door to the Princess' lesson room, she paused before it, hands dutifully clasped in front of her abdomen. Instead if heading in, she instead stood by the door, against the wall, waiting patiently.

Clarice ended up seated in some shallows, watching the fish dart past her, not really caring for her presence. It barely came up to her chest; the worst that could happen to her daughter was to fall in and have to be quickly lifted out again. Whereas where the water was deeper... it would be all too easy to miss a little girl in the murk and have her be swept away. Or get caught on rocks. Or even be assaulted and eaten by a pike...

"Youthful death goddess?" the scribe wondered, not realising how much talking this would unleash upon her. She'd heard of a lot of gods of the dead and afterlives; wizards seemed to love referring to gods at random points in their grimoires. Never, however had she heard of a god whose epithet was 'the youthful' or one that had youthful anywhere in connection with... well... anything other than a deity that supposedly governed children.

Maria mumbled in her sleep and moved her arm a bit, pulling the sleeve up to reveal apparently nothing and getting the fluffiest, longest of the nine tails wrapped in her embrace along with her bunny rabbit. Since she was asleep, she wasn't really thinking, but in the Reaper's dreams she wondered why there was suddenly so many pillows. Pillows, pillows everywhere! Which was weird, she'd been dancing with a skeleton a few seconds earlier... now the graveyard was full of pillows...

"Yes. It's warm, no-one asks why I'm with you or what I am, and it's more comfortable than your shoulder," Dragon asked, having changed clothing whilst she was there from her fancy dress to... what appeared to be pyjamas, or some sort of variant thereof. Judging by the fact that her breathing slowed a few minutes later, the fairy had chosen to take a nap. If she hadn't been so light there would've been a danger of her weight forcing a gap between breast and breastplate but... that wasn't really an issue.

Makoto glanced over her shoulder, feeling a weird sensation on her tail. Had it been grabbed? Something felt... weird.

...Hm, there appeared to be nothing under that girl's sleeve. Maybe her tails were in the way? Hm...

Well, regardless, the girl looked harmless enough. Makoto would very much like to ask her just what she was, but that could wait.
Carefully, Makoto shifted herself to lie on her side, head propped on one hand and staring out to the trees. She kept herself close to the girl to keep her cloaked in the tails.

...Might be here for a while. Makoto wondered how long it would take for her to doze off as well...

Lolly's dress was quickly removed, and placed aside to dry in the sun. Seraphi wouldn't have her get it even wetter, it had cost a fair amount and ruining it wouldn't be particularly nice. That, and Seraphi didn't want her adopted daughter stuck being itchy until the dress dried. Lolly, of course, took this as clearance to topple forward into the water again. Whether this was out of clumsiness or out of eagerness to get in the water, Seraphi couldn't tell.

Lolly knew it was something of both.

Seraphi was too slow to catch her daughter, and once again had to rely on Clarice catching her.

----

"Oh, the Youthful Death Goddess is truly wonderful!" replied Ariselli, cheerfully. This girl was interested! She really was interested! That would be... if this went well... five people today who wanted to learn more? Today was such a wonderful day! "Tielle, our High Priestess, saw her one day while disoriented."

She withdrew one of her holy books and opened it. Within, was a picture of the youthful death goddess. A child in clothes that looked quite distinct, with a bony scythe-wielding arm and one arm that just didn't seem to be really there. "It was doubtless, she truly was a death goddess! Tielle founded our religion in order to guarantee that she will care for the dead once they are gone. Those closest to her are female children, like me!"

Ariselli looked hopefully up at the girl, gauging her reaction.

----

Now in the town, Rosalie scanned the area.

Anyone interesting...? Ah, that woman with a lot of arms. It wasn't the first time she had seen someone like that, but it was still somewhat interesting. She seemed rather busy with singing, though, so Rosalie looked for alternatives.

A young boy walked down the halls of the castle. He wore the normal attire of a servant boy, though he had the addition of a top hat he refused to part with. His long white hair was tied into a low pony tail. He was quite the handsome boy, many of the older servants constantly commented on how he'd be quite the heart breaker when he was older. It was a compliment the boy always returned with a smile and casual flirting.

Speaking of flirting, the boy noticed Alice waiting outside of the princesses room. A very common sight, almost as common as his flirting with her, "Good morning mademoiselle, you look simply exquisite as always." He emphasized it with a flourished bow and a smile that would have made straight girls his own age swoon.

An elf ran down the streets of the shopping area, a bunch of apples craddled in her arms. It was suffice to say she had stolen them. If the yells from the street vender were any indication. But the elf was fast, she would be able to get away easily. Though, it may not be a good idea to go near that particular vender for awhile. She had forgotten to bring her cloak and he had seen her face. Oh well, at least she had gotten quite a bit of apples. That should fill her up for awhile.

Re: Medieval, Kingdoms of Ardania and Derangia - Repowered

Post by Molly on Sat 07 Apr 2012, 11:49 pm

As Alice stood there waiting, looking alert on the outside but was really half-conscious, she was snapped into alertness by a voice. Already, she knew it was her second least favorite person to be accosted by, below only Lily. Holding back a sigh, she turned to look at the young boy as he approached.

"Claude. Hello," her reply was simple and her expression was less-than-impressed. She contemplated throwing him outside to get him out of her hair, but that would be rude. Even if he was somewhat.. obnoxious.. he was at least friendly. "Is there something you need, or are you merely here to attempt more flirting? If so, I'd rather you move along before the princess finishes her lessons. You know how she reacts to your.. advances."

Plus, for some reason, it always irked her when the boy would try to get too close to the princess. She wasn't sure why, it's not as if he stood any chance with her, considering his age and rank.

Logic didn't do much to ease the feeling, it seemed.

----------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, Sofia Clark was walking about in the market area, what looked like a small knight on one shoulder and a small black dog-like creature spitting fire on the other. There was a shoulder-pad on the side under the dog, for obvious reasons.

There was bag loaded down with eggs and such on one arm, and in her other hand there was list for what she needed to buy. It was mostly baking ingredients for her parents store, but she also planned to stop by the alchemist to get more powders and runes, and by the library to see if she could get any new books to summon dolls from.

As she looked back up, the first thing she spotted was a strangely-dressed blonde girl with red eyes. The second thing she noticed was an elf speeding towards her. Letting out a yelp as the elf brushed by her, she staggered backwards before landing on her bum.

"Oof! Watch where you're going! Dangit, I hope none of the eggs broke.."

She mumbled under her breath in irritation as she looked in her bag.

As she neared the city gates, she couldn't help but wonder what she was going to do about the Dragon. She supposed she would have to allow the fairy to stay with her; as it was her duty as a knight to help those in need.

Though she supposed that it would be alright to have a fairy roommate for a while; provided the girl didn't decide to spend the whole time hiding between her breasts.

--

At that point, a grown woman suddenly jumped onto Alice's shoulders.

"Hello there, Ms. Haremmaster!" said Lily, cheerfully. "Sorry I've been neglecting you lately; BUT I'm here today to spend the WHOLE day bothering you!"

She stopped talking for a moment, and turned her head to the boy standing in front of Alice.

"Oh, hello Claus. Don't tell me you've joined Alice's ever growing harem too?" she said.

Clarice cheerfully caught the child, dragging her into the water to stand beside her mother. Then she explained, very carefully, that she was going to hold Lolly around the waist and that she had to kick, with her legs straight. Whilst not the best method of swimming, it was the one she found easiest to explain, not least because she could at least mimic a kicking motion with her tail if the girl didn't understand. Once Lolly was doing that... she was sure that Seraphi had a bottle of beer somewhere and she was thirsty!

"And what makes her any different from every other god of death, aside from the appearance?" Vivace asked, intrigued. She motioned for the girl to follow her into her house; she had enough food for one guest and this sounded like it would take a long time to explain. She didn't have anything else to do today, anyway, so she may as well entertain the little girl... or priestess, whatever she was. Gods tended to be silly, anyway.

Makoto's shifting put her in reach of the once-again grasping hand, which found itself petting her on the head. Even asleep, Maria's body knew what you were meant to do to pets... and the tails had convinced it that Makoto was a pet. Grim reapers really did have the strangest tendency to do things in their sleep; maybe that was why they normally slept far enough away from the base world that people couldn't see or interact with them. It certainly made a measure of sense, as the awkwardness for the kitsune would soon indicate.

The sleeping fairy found it much easier to sleep in her current position, with a shirt as a blanket and breasts as mattress and pillow, than she did sleeping in a human bed. Human beds were, for a start, far too big. They also had much thicker blankets and, unsurprisingly, she didn't have the strength to easily move them. The last time she'd ended up in one, it had taken her three quarters of an hour to find her way out of the thing...

Lolly did her best. She was clumsy at the best of times, and even kicking was proving to be particularly coordinated. What the kicking was causing was lots and lots of splashing. Water was getting spread everywhere, really. Lolly herself was merely slightly frustrated that she wasn't magically instantly learning how to swim. After all, she had magically instantly learned how to talk, so why wasn't swimming working the same way?

Seraphi watched carefully for a few moments. She wasn't a good swimmer herself and didn't think she could give any good pointers... instead, she turned and went to check Lolly's bag. It was bright purple, the girl had picked it out herself. She seemed to have an inclination towards purple, for whatever reason. Now, in spite of being remarkably well-behaved as long as she didn't start questioning social norms, Lolly did have one problem... No matter what she was told, she didn't get the concept of ownership. As such, Seraphi kept checking her bag for stolen items.

----

Ariselli began to follow, ecstatic that the girl wanted to hear more about the Youthful Death Goddess. Maybe she'd even get a new temple priestess out of her... But that was only if she was willing to go through with that. There was a chance she was not.

"She protects you after death!" replied Ariselli, extremely eager to explain all of this, "She ensures that no harm comes to your soul after you are deceased. Nothing demonic, no evil entities, she fends all of them off. You will be ensured totally... um... soul safety!"

----

Rosalie blinked, and quickly turned to watch the elf run past. Tilting her head, she turned to face the girl who had fallen once more. Adjusting her parasol, she frowned. Well, that was rude...

"Are you alright?" she asked.

Makoto, not expecting the slumbering child to suddenly start petting her, froze as soon as her head was touched. The kitsune's entire body seemed to shiver and stiffen, and a surprised yelp of gratitude escaped her lips.

"H-hey..." Makoto muttered, a small blush on her face. "Watch what you're d-doin'!"

It wasn't entirely clear why petting her head had a strong effect on the otherwise composed youkai. But it sent waves of pure bliss throughout her body, and it was incredibly difficult to ask for whoever was treating her like a common house dog to stop. Incredibly degrading, but so enjoyable...

It was also hard to maintain illusions in this scenario. The kitsune was flickering between her youthful form, and that of a much taller woman.

"Cerbi, go get her!" Sofi said to the small doll-dog on her shoulder, who yapped excitedly.

The tiny fire-dog jumped down and shot across the ground after the elf, leaving little flaming paw-prints wherever it stepped, which went out almost instantly.

Yapping enthusiastically, the tiny dog caught up with the elf using its magically enhanced speed, and attempted to jump onto her back, shooting out short bursts of fire at the same time.

Satisfied that Cerbi could handle it, she turned to attention to the little girl who had walked over to her. She pondered on the parasol for a moment, but the girl did have light skin. Poor thing, probably sensitive to sunlight or something.

"Yeah, I'm fine, thanks. Nothing was broken either, so it's all fine."

Sofi stood, brushing off the seat of her pants.

"You wound me, mademoiselle," Claude replied, placing a hand over his chest, "I only have the purest of intentions. Is it so wrong to compliment a woman on their beauty?"

It was then Lily appeared with talks of harems and how he had apparently became a part of it, "Oh how I wish, but she keeps turning me down, breaking my young and impressionable heart."

---------

Lyra didn't even give a second glance to the girl she bumped into. No time to stop now, not if she wanted to esca- Wait, did she smell something burning? "AH!" She yelped in pain as her rear was scorched, flying two feet in the air. Well not really, but it felt like it! She tumbled forward, face first. Her apples scattered everywhere. Why now? What did she do to deserve this? Oh right... she stole those apples didn't she?

"You can stop if you get tired and just play around," Clarice told Lolly, worried that the girl might overexert herself whilst trying to get it. Swimming... she was hoping the practice might help the girl's clumsiness but her daughter's same clumsiness appeared to be getting in the way. She was getting thirsty, too; it was a hot day and all. There was certainly abundant water to drink but she wanted something a little more... flavourful, "Hey, Sera, got anything to drink in there?"
----
"What's the point of worshipping her when you're alive, then?" Vivace wondered, sitting down at a paper-strewn desk and turning to face the child, who had most likely chosen to sit on her bed, "Does she actually offer anything to the living or is she only of benefit to the dead?"
----
Slumbering peacefully on, Maria's only response was to slow her petting somewhat, eventually just turning into rhythmically rubbing the fox's head. It seemed the only way out of this would be to wake the peacefully sleeping girl and hope she wasn't upset that her rest had been interrupted by her current blanket.

Indeed, Lolly had tired herself out. The small girl was now drooping in her adoptive mother's arms, still very weakly kicking but not really achieving anything. "Mother... Lolly... is tired..."

Lolly panted.

"Ummm... I don't see any... thing," Seraphi frowned. In the bag was what was most certainly(the blue hue of the liquid was a dead giveaway) a mana potion. The liquid tapped into a magic-user's natural mana reserves to rapidly replenish them... somehow. Seraphi didn't know how potions worked, really. But she knew she didn't buy this. She hadn't needed mana replenishers since summoning Lolly, after all. And the last place they had been was a shop that sold potions...

"Lolly..." she began, turning and holding the potion up.

----

"Well, she ensures the safety of loved ones who may have died," replied Ariselli, sitting down with a cheerful smile, "And she also stops plagues of the undead! Have you noticed how there hasn't been any of those deadly outbreaks in the last fifty years?"

----

"Ah, well, that is good to know," replied Rosalie, following the dog with her gaze. It caught up to someone a little ways off...

Hm.

This person seemed interesting, why not introduce herself?

"I am Lady Rosalie Kreuz, it is nice to meet you."

Alice had to resist the urge to roll her eyes at both Lily's and Claude's antics.

"Once again, Lily, you come to bother me and start rambling about things that I don't understand. I do not posses nor do I want a harem, and this boy is certainly not part of anything of mine. As for you, it's only wrong in excess."

Alice turned to look at him, unable to help smiling somewhat.

"Having a 'young and impressionable heart' certainly doesn't stop you with flirting with every other female in this castle, and no rejection from me will deter you for long."

Glancing at the door, Alice wondered if the princess would be done soon, so she would be saved from this madness.

--------------------------------

The small fire-breathing dog, Cerbi, jumped onto the Elf's back, yapping excitedly, proud of himself for managing to catch his prey.

Meanwhile, the small knight on Sofi's shoulder drew his weapon as Rosalie drew closer to introduce herself.

"Back, fiend! My Master will have naught to do with the likes of you! I shall smite the- Mmmffmpphh!"

Sofi had placed her hand around the tiny knight's head, effectively stifiling his tirade. "You'll have to excuse Sir Don, he's a little overprotective. Go on after Cerbi and make sure he doesn't cause too much trouble, okay? Keep that Elf where she is, too."

Sofi crouched and set the doll-person down, who huffed then ran off after Cerbi, catching up to the small dog soon after.

"Anyway. Hello! I'm Sofia Clark. You can call me Sofi," the girl finally returned the greeting, smiling brightly as she held out her hand to Rosalie. "'Lady', huh? Are you a noble's daughter?"

the petting continued, and Makoto was still practically helpless to the sensations. Shameful, but no witnesses. Still, this couldn't go on forever...

After suppressing a dreamy sigh at the incessant petting, the content kitsune tried to think of a way to end her 'torment'. It was really kind of hard.

...Waking her up sounded like a good idea.

Waving one of the tails not being gripped, Makoto blindly waved it around, trying to tap or brush the girl's face to the point she had to wake up. Seemed like the best way to go about it. Trying to speak would only result in embarrassing noises.

"Alas, poor Clyde," said Lily, as she jumped down from Alice's shoulders, and walked towards the boy.

"In order to capture the heart of the maid night; you need something unique; something you will probably be unable to acquire without some weird, body-altering magic if that even exists," said Lily.

She suddenly leapt towards Claude, and whispered into his ear.

"Blond hair," she said. "Also, it might help if you were a princess,"

Evana paused, noting a small girl fall, dropping apples in the process. Furrowing her brow, she slung her lute over her back and proceeded to pick up the apples, wiping them. They looked like they were good enough to eat, thankfully.

"So, girl, are you ok-" She said, pausing at the sight of some creature on her back. "...Is that a fire-breathing dog?"

----
Were Makoto to look up, she'd see a somewhat odd sight. A boy with wings on his back was flying above, and losing altitude. Close observation were reveal his eyes were closed. He was sleeping while flying, as he was wont to do. His snoring was interrupted as he crashed into the tree under which Maria and Makoto sat. He crashed to the ground in front of them, propping himself up slowly. He raised an eyebrow at the two women, appraising them.

"Not the weirdest thing I've ever crashed into, I suppose." He said, turning over to lie on his back. "But still, damn foxes and their mating rituals..."

Sure enough, Candy finished her lesson, sighing out as her instructor told her to do so, "Very good your highness~ Well done as always~"

Candy smiled, "Thank you, Instructor," she went to the side and cleaned herself up a little, wiping the sweat off her forehead and neck, before turning to leave. She'll get more clean once she reaches her room, where she'll change from her dancing outfit to her formal castle wear, in preparation of Piano lessons that will be coming before long.

As she exited the room, before her were three people who at times almost seemed inseparable, despite the wishes of one of them, "Hello Alice, Lily, Claude," She gave a slight curtsy, "I do hope we're all getting along..." despite her attempts to not show it, one who knew her would recognize the very slight vein of anger that would otherwise be covered up by her smile.

Polly rode up to the Stribus city gate, and yelled to the guards to let her in. After they lowered the gate, she rode into the city; and headed towards the castle.

She wanted nothing more than to head to her quarters, and take a nice long bath. However, she would first have to bring the orb to the queen, and give a report on her quest.
