medieval RP - Crack Pairings.

Alice flinched as if she had been shot in the stomach with an arrow, suddenly alert. Her face colored slightly, as she realized that not only had she been staring, but she had been caught. It was subtle, perhaps maybe only caused by the heat, but it was there. "Ah, no, sorry. I.. was lost in thought for a moment."

The maid looked away, but tried to do so in a manner that wouldn't look too out of place, like her mind was drifting off onto something else, like her staring had really just been a product of being lost in thought. I had been, in a way, though not thought or something she would tell the elf.

Lyra raised her eyebrow at Alice's obviously lame excuse, "People wouldn't normally stare at someone naked when they're lost in thought."

"It's not my fault that you're naked," Alice said quickly, still looking away. She obviously didn't plan on giving the elf the real reason she was looking. It would sound too odd, and would probably make this trip even more awkward than it already is.

"Don't worry about it. I wasn't trying to be rude, and I apologize if I made you uncomfortable."

"Just don't do it again," Lyra said a bit too indignantly, feeling her flush come back thanks to the maid being all knightly. Curse whatever this was making her all flustered around her rival. Damnit, she was supposed to like the princess, not this idiotic maid! She should have never agreed to come along on this stupid mission.

After several hours, Milano had set up camp for herself and the princess. Currently she was setting up a fire to keep them warm and to cook the preserves of meat she had. They had sat in awkward silence the entire time and was only broken when Milano decided to speak up, "Uhm... about what we were talking about earlier, my princess. I suppose it wouldn't hurt if spoke to eachother more from now on. And since we have time on our hands... maybe we should start now?"

Milano wasn't sure why she even made this proposition. Maybe because in some ways, the princess reminded her of her old friend. And friendship was something the maid had been so deprived of, that she couldn't help but to reach out to that bright and innocent woman.

Candy, Thankful for an opportunity to speak with Milano and maybe get to know her a bit. "Yes, I think that'd be nice," she was also glad to be speaking, "So what should we talk about? Perhaps where you're from?" Candy was smiling happily at Milano with that silly innocent look.

"I'll be sure to be more careful," Alice reassured the other girl. Keeping her promsie, Alice was now, rather obviously, keeping her gaze on everything but on the elf. Deciding that it was a bit odd of her to just keep glancing around, she instead settled on closigng her eyes, trying to get relaxed again.

She couldn't help but notice how overly-aware of the elf she was now. It was odd. Were her and Lyra friends now? She didn't really feel this way towards any of the maids she was close to.. not even Milano, whom she had basicalyl taken under her wing. She was a bit overly-aware of the princess, though. This was probably her over-protective insticts kicking in, as she was starting to harbor some affection for the elf girl.

Milano's face darkened for a flicker of a second before returning to her normal, calm demeanor, "I'm from a kingdom far away from here. My home wasn't all that great. Me and my brother grew up in the slums. Uhm... my brother eventually left for another kingdom and I came to Ardania to look for a better life. I was lucky to get a job as a maid."

It was now back to awkward silence for the two. And if there was one thing the elf couldn't stand, it was silence. What to do, what to do. She wasn't about to do something stupid and suddenly begin talking about politics or the weather, but there had to be something for the two of them to talk about. "Damnit, is there nothing we can talk about?" She muttered to herself in elven.

Alice looked up at Lyra as she heard her mumble something under her breath. It didn't sound like English to her, but she couldn't be entirely sure. Considering who it was, she wouldn't be surprised is Lyra was complaining or insult her under her breath.

"If you just called me a stupid maid again, I'll be forced to come over there."
