Essentially this RP is taking a rather dead concept and... using it. Yeah, yeah, the seven Servant classes are actually characters from other worlds. A crossover Grail War, blablablabla. But this time it's not the sixth Grail War or some other thing, it's the Fifth Grail War with a few twists. The fourth, third, second, and firth Grail War all followed the same method. Summoning heroes from the Akasha Records of OTHER worlds instead of the one they exist in. Funny, isn't it? ANYWAY...
It takes place in Fuyuki City, Shirou, Rin, and the others are certainly around. Just the Servants are different... or rather Shirou could summon Saber, and he couldn't. It's really up to who registers what. So, let's get this started...

Meh, I'll go with something a little less broken than my original intent. A little >:3

Appearance: Asymmetry is the new black =P
Personality: Normally a very cold and serious woman, not at all the type for joking or fooling around. She's polite, but to a fault, and when stacked with her ice queen personality, it comes off as almost being rude in a roundabout way. Kaori's cynicism and distant attitude are the result of an upbringing that can, in an odd way, come across as both extremely lucky and extremely unlucky. She's ashamed of her own good fortune, and how despite her enormous blessings, she only seems to cause misfortune to those around her, despite wanting nothing more than being able to save and safeguard them. And yet despite the pain her own stolen fortune brings others, they still admire her... Needless to say, matters of "good fortune" are a hot-button topic with her, as she seems to think her own fortune is misfortune. But, with a little effort and understanding, an empathetic Master might be able to crack the shell of cynicism enough to earn some earnest emotion. Absolutely atrocious when it comes to operating machinery. You literally cannot trust her to work a washing machine.
Misc: Drop the words "Fallen Angel Ero Maid" around her. Shenanigans will ensue.

Magic Resistance (A): Cancel spells of A-Rank or below. In practice, the Servant is untouchable to modern magi, so it would not be an exaggeration to title the Servant a "Magus Killer".
Riding (-): Due to incompetence regarding modern technology, the Riding skill is inaccessible for all motorized vehicles, watercraft, or aircraft.

Personal Skills:
Saint (N/A): Indicates being acknowledged as a saint. When summoned as a Servant, the ability of saint is selected one among "raising the effectiveness of sacraments", "automatic HP recovery", "1 Rank-Up to Divinity" and "production of a holy shroud is possible".
Runic Magic (B): Capacity to use the 18 original runes.
Stigma (B): The ability to call upon God's power as a saint who has bodily characteristics similar to the Son of God. All physical stats are treated as Rank Up. In exchange, the Servant becomes weak to attacks that mirror the wounds that killed the Son of God (i.e stabbing in the side, flogging, a crown of thorns, crucifixion)
Divinity (C): As a Servant revered as a saint, the strength of her nature as a divine spirit is equivalent in rank to the deities of minor cults and the forgotten gods of yore.

Noble Phantasm(s):
Shichiten Shichitou ~ Seven Heavens Sword (Anti-Unit): An extremely long nodachi which is Kaori's signature weapon. This sword, while menacing on its own, is actually more of a package deal, and is used in conjunction with seven steel wires to produce a number of attacks and techniques with a wide variety of strength and range:
*Nanasen ~ Seven Flashes: Her main attack uses seven steel wires. These wires can 'split' into thousands and surround or cut the enemy, allowing almost 360 degrees of reach, though only Kanzaki can go that far due to her attributes as a Saint.
*Yuisen ~ Single Flash: An attack which charges her blade with prana, producing a significantly more powerful strike.
*Kinshi Kekkai ~ Boundary of Forbidden Wires: A Bounded Field made of wire which allows for the use of Red Lotus Flames.
*Red Lotus Flames: Kaori is capable of using Nanasen to construct three dimensional runic magic.
Kami wo Saku Mono ~ God Breaker (Anti-Army): A special usage of Shichiten Shichitou which could be described as an Anti-Army usage. Or rather, it turns Kaori into a force comparable to that of an Anti-Army Noble Phantasm. When under the influence of the God Breaker mode, Kaori's already heightened physical abilities are pushed to the limit, into a realm only capable of being described as "truly superhuman". All attributes receive a temporary two Ranks Up while God Breaker is active. However, Kaori rarely if ever uses this Noble Phantasm, as the stress of the God Breaker is so great it actually physically damages her body, ripping muscles and popping blood vessels the more she exerts herself. In fact, it's only safe to use God Breaker for at most ten to twenty seconds before serious damage may be incurred.

Personality: A young girl who holds 'promises' above everything. She doesn't understand her own feelings, that being love, and she defines it as feeling 'weird'. Although, she does understand anger and other negative emotions but she doesn't 'like' being angry. Deep down Mare has a crippling fear of loneliness and truly wants to have a friend.

  • Hoshizora no Memoria (A+): When the stars hang in the night sky and the moon shines bright, all status parameters are increased by one rank.
    Rays of the Bright Sun (A): While out in the day time, all of Mare's status parameters drop by one rank.


Noble Phantasm:

Thanatos, Ritual Scythe of the Hibarigasaki Meteor (???/Rank E-A+): A scythe used to reap the nightmares of those who need it. A nightmare can be personified as something mental or something physical. If the nightmare of the person is the war itself and the Servant, one strike with the scythe can splice the link between the Servant and Master, resulting in the Servant to disappear. The likelihood of this effect varies as nightmares are unique to each person. If the person conquers their nightmare, the scythe won't do anything.

Upon seeing the scythe, and the person 'believes' it's going to hurt them, it'll act as a mundane blade AND reap the nightmare of the person in question.

Bio: Bazett was born in Ireland as a descendant of an old family of magi that had detached itself from the Mages' Association and lived in the shadows quietly. Wishing to pursue a different path than that of her ancestors, she chose to join the Association. Despite Bazett's rare lineage, her skills were not judged as being particularly useful and she was dismissed.   • Meister Otome: C, As a Meister Otome, her sole job is to ensure the safety of her Master. This skill allows her a bonus in endurance when protecting her Master. Also because of this skill, she cannot have sexual intercourse with a male. Semen of any kind has adverse effects to her powers and makes her lose her NPs.

Noble Phantasm:


  • Blue Sky Sapphire: B, an earring gem that, when activated by her Master, materializes her robe and element, a double bladed crystal lance that can grow in size and which main attack is an energy blast called Bolt From the Blue. It should be noted that her robe also gives bonuses to her strength, endurance, and agility, as well as give her flight capabilities.
  • Ultimate Blue Sky: A, the true form of the Blue Sky Sapphire. Activated with the phrase Materialize Zwei, it changes Arika's robe and allows her to use the Sword of Akatsuki while putting further bonuses to her strength, endurance, and agility.

Personality: A girl with a strong sense of justice but is too blind to see the world past white and black. There is no middle line. She's easily one to hold a grudge, as shown with her confrontations with Kyouko Sakura.

Mad Enhancement - (Rank E-A+): Sayaka's case of Mad Enhancement is strange. She can chip away at her own sanity for a power-boost or stay the way she is right now. The more she falls into madness and despair, the higher her stats shoot up.

Personal Skills:
Weapon Summoning (Swords) - Rank A: Sayaka's primary way of attack. She's capable of summoning blue cutlasses to attack and tear at the opponent. It's not necessarily a Noble Phantasm.
Resistance to Pain - Rank E-A+: An ability gifted by Sayaka's Noble Phantasm. It's the ability to manipulate the feeling of pain itself. This in conjuction with her special Mad Enhancement makes her a fierce opponent in battle.
Regeneration - Rank A+: Sayaka's wounds heal at an astounding rate, almost isntantly depending on the type of wound.

Noble Phantasm:
Sign of the Other Worldly Contract, Soul Gem - (Rank A+): A Noble Phantasm born from a contract with a creature known as an Incubator. This grants Sayaka two abilities (Regeneration and Resistance to Pain), and also allows her to survive even if her body is fully destroyed. As long as the Master has prana, she can continue fighting. Also, if the Soul Gem is destroyed, these abilities are no longer in effect and Sayaka will be killed instantly.

Once Sayaka's Soul Gem corrupts (either due to despair or low prana) she transforms into her Witch State. A Reality Marble (Witch Barrier) is expelled once the Soul Gem busts. Sayaka loses all Noble Phantasms, Class and Personal Skills and becomes a monster.

Personality: Comes off as emotionless and cold most of the time. Inori doesn't know what it feels like to 'love' or 'like' someone. She's indebted to her adoptive family and thus respects them. They're the only people she has any sort of 'affection' for. To strangers, she has no idea how to form emotional attatchments and continues to hold this cold and collected aura about her.

Bio: A girl with unknown origins and even stranger powers. She comes from a family of mages and, whose sadly been chosen for this strange new Grail War. Inori has just arrived to participate in the Grail War in Fuyuki City, staying a hotel in Shinto.

Origin: "Connection"

Mystic Code: Thread: Cat's Cradle: A Mystic Code in the form of thin, neon threads that are capable of binding the target in place. Inori can use them to form a make-shift guard, use it as a whip to choke the opponent, and other versatile uses. (Traps, etc).
Modern Weapons: Even though she has knowledge of mage craft, Inori has two desert eagles she often carries around for the purpose of self-defense and, for the Grail War, the death of the other Master.

He considered himself as 'wrong' in society. He was originally a carpet, so nice that people walked all over him. Now, it seems to be different. He'll do what it takes, no matter what, to get the optimal outcome. Even if it means killing or other equally despicable acts.

The Power of the King, Void Genome (Rank E~A+): A Noble Phantasm in which Shu forms a contract with another person via 'reaching into their soul'. He pulls out a weapon or item that's attributed to the person's innerself and personality. The effectiveness of the Noble Phantasm depends on the person that Shu comes into contact with. Shu can also fuse voids with one another to increase effectiveness in combat.
The Everlasting Guilty Crown - Crown of Sins (Rank A+): Shu's own void that's capable of shouldering the burden and pain of others. It can be used to transfer pain unto himself. It can also be used to trace other voids through contact. Such as stacking them or otherwise

Appearance: He'll destroy that illusion of yours. Right in its stupid face.
Personality: Sarcastic and cynical, yet overall a good person at heart. Touma is the kind of person who follows what he believes in, come hell or high water. He does not stop, or quit, or back down. He's not the kind of person who can simply sit back and watch people suffer, and would prefer to take that pain upon himself, no matter what the personal risk. He'd even help an enemy in danger if the opportunity presented itself. Not because he wants to, but because it's the right thing to do, goddammit. In short, he got smacked with the hero stick hard. There's no dissuading him, and attempting to make him see any way other than his own is usually doomed to failure. Completely oblivious to any sort of romantic feelings, or at least he appears to be. Actually much smarter than he looks, despite his belligerence.

Mad Enhancement (E~A+): Touma is an odd case. His Mad Enhancement is mad... yet he retains the ability to talk, think, and reason. It could be said that rather than a result of a mental abnormality, Touma's Mad Enhancement is an attribute of his personality. As Touma's anger or determination increases, so does his rank in Mad Enhancement, ratcheting up his stats. At its peak, Touma disregards all concepts of consequence or pain, and will not stop until he either dies or succeeds, even if success has disastrous results. He has no control over this, as it is tied to his emotional state.

Personal Skills:
Mystic Face (A): The unparalleled ability to attract the opposite sex, one which transcends alignment and beliefs. If you are a female, you are attracted to Touma. If you aren't, you are in denial, and it will simply be a matter of time.
Drunken Master (B): When under the influence of alcohol, Touma loses his Mad Enhancement, and receives rank ups to all physical stats while drunk. His Mystic Face skill is also elevated to rank EX.
Bravery (A+): Bonus effect of increasing melee damage.
Battle Continuation (A): Makes possible to fight even with deadly injuries and can remain alive so long as one does not receive a decisive fatal wound.

Noble Phantasm(s):
Imagine Breaker (Anti-Unit/Anti-God): The strange ability which resides in Kamijou Touma's right hand, a power beyond any kind of Magic Resistance. An always active type Noble Phantasm simply described as anti-magic, the power he possesses is capable of canceling out anything supernatural. Magic, esper abilities, even acts of God. If it comes into contact with his right hand, it's gone. Like it never even happened. In the event Imagine Breaker goes up against a self-regenerating force, it will continue to cancel it until one side decides to disengage. Has absolutely no effect on melee attacks or conventional weaponry, although his status as a Servant provides him immunity to the latter regardless
The Invisible Thing (Support/???): The truth behind Imagine Breaker which can only be seen if Touma's right arm is severed. Should this occur, the Invisible Thing will begin to manifest in his stump. Should Touma manage to quell the power of the Invisible Thing, all wounds are healed and Mad Enhancement is reset to E. If not.... well no one knows. No one really wants to either...

Personality: Shiho is a sarcastic, sharp-tongued and often scarily sadistic young girl. Keenly aware of the world having a dark side and the folly of accepting everything at face value, she has a generally pragmatic view on how things should be handled. Shiho tends to act far more maturely and lady-like than someone her age normally would, possibly because of her ability. Despite these many dark aspects to her personality, she is loyal to anyone she considers a friend and easily gets angry when those friends get hurt, likely to hold a long lasting grudge against the person who hurt or threatened her friend.

This essentially can make anything a Noble Phantasm as well as let her use others' Noble Phantasms if she can get her hands on them. She can also use this ability to read her opponent to discover their identity and weakness. Servants with Magic Resistance can minimize what Shiho reads from them.
  • Psychometric Wire Gun; E; Anti-Unit: A special gun designed just for Shiho and her ability. Not only can it shoot out bullets, but it can shoot out wires that can be used for various things, but mostly to wrap around the opponent and make her able to read her opponent from more of a distance. It can also send out shocks of electricity to the opponent if their wrapped up in the gun wires.

Finally it can be used to control a single target, however the controlled targets movements are slow and it can be resisted with enough will power.(Anti-Army/Support)

This requires large amounts of Spiral Energy, which will drain both Simon and Kamina's master's prana at a noticeable rate.
*Giga Drill Breaker(EX)(Anti-Fortress): A massive drill spawned from Spiral Power and Simon & Kamina's legendary finishing move, this is nearly impossible for even two magi to power, but it possesses the ability to pierce even A-ranked defenses with ease. In addition, any enemy pierced will swell with energy and explode in a magnificent fashion.

His morals are strong and he even asks for help from his close friend, Emiya Shirou, rather than getting the school to pay for repairs on school equipment. He greatly dislikes Tohsaka Rin, and women in general.

Bio: Growing up at the Ryuudou Temple, Issei was always taught the ways of the monks there. He was taught martial arts, though this particular shrine saw that it was better to interact with the outside world than to stay completely isolated, and so Issei and his brother both had gone to the school, and his brother was even a teacher now. Issei is at this point the Student Body President of his school, even though he continues to train under his father's watchful eye. There is a secret technique that is passed down through their family, a martial art specific to the Ryuudou Temple. But beyond that, he was let in on a secret between him and his father, that he had

Powers: At first, he will only have Chinese Martial Arts (C). However, having a servant and participating in the war in general may lead to more, similar to Shirou. (Note: I don't plan on him being able to be any stronger than Shirou. Actually, he'll be weaker considering Shirou has EXCALIBUR)

Powers: BUGS BUGS THEY'RE EVERYWHERE GEDDEMOFFAME.

Since I'm not 100% sure they have a good explanation on that page as I didn't feel like actually reading it, I'll just point out that his body is made of worms, and he controls them. These "Worms" are able to give people fake Magic Crests, control people if they've had them grow inside of them, and even attack. Since his body is made of worms, he simply has to find a new person's body, devour it, and he can basically regenerate from any and all wounds. He can also seem to "turn into" worms, a technique he uses to disappear to and from the shadows. There's probably more I'm missing but honestly I think I covered the important stuff.

It would only be EX rank if he copies an EX Noble Phantasm level spell. He cannot copy Noble Phantasms or magic that isn't a "Spell".

Description: If Ryner goes berserk (Read: Suffers severe emotional trauma), this demon takes over and he begins to laugh maniacally and claim that "Everything must return to Nothing". Nothing can possibly survive these beams and if left alone he will eventually destroy even himself. When this activates, someone must close his eyes and he will be returned to normal.

Hatches open up all over Mech-Hisui's body, firing out a barrage of magically enhanced missiles, lasers, blades, and other assorted weaponry in a wide spread of destruction. Whilst this is an immensely destructive attack, Mech-Hisui cannot use it multiple times in succession, otherwise she will quickly run out of ammunition.

Jade Scrander: Saturday Night Fever (A++) (Anti-Unit)
Mech-Hisui's ultimate upgrade, a jetpack that boosts her flight capabilities, allowing her to reach supersonic speeds. Though she generally mostly uses it as a continuous ramming attack, she can also fire off the scrander itself at her enemies, resulting in an explosive attack which destroys the scrander and most likely her enemy with it.

  • Territory Creation: A+. Not only can she render a location as hers, Evangeline can physically transfer a location to be inside a bottle of uncertain temporal stature. Despite increasing base prana drain, increased consumption from usage of spells and abilities within her territory is dropped to nearly nil.
    Since I seem to have... confused a few people: no, she does not bring either of the pre-existing territories with her. Yes, she has to create the glass sphere and its pedestal from scratch, and once it's in place it is a staggeringly bad idea to use it without basically deactivating the magic and requiring a lengthy set-up process.
  • Item Creation: C. Able to create Familiars (which, naturally, are a drain on her Master) and potions capable of functioning as a one-off boost to prana.
  • Negima Mage: A+. Capable of wielding most spells outside of her natural affinity, casting spells that violate natural laws, and outright creating more for a single purpose. Most are big, flashy, and by their nature a hazard to even Servants. The downside: prana consumption skyrockets on anything truly hazardous.
  • Martial Arts: B. With no fixed style, she cannot truly be called a 'master', but her skills in close combat are still exceptional.


Noble Phantasms:
  • Magic Erebea--Queen of Ice: A+. If activated, Evangeline not only gains a rank up to strength and agility, but the ability to use any ice-element spells she knows without a cooldown or extra prana consumption on top of the high cost to use the Noble Phantasm itself. Specifically, she can cast any ice spell below Kosmike Katastrophe without the chant and surround the entire battlefield in a nigh-impenetrable barrier of ice.
  • High Daylight Walker--The OTHER Type of True Ancestor: EX. Evangeline's true physical abilities, due to the curse she bore in life, are represented as a second Noble Phantasm. Her Strength is raised to B, Agility to A, and both Endurance and Luck to C, and unless an attack specifically forbids regeneration wounds will heal. On the other hand, no normal mage can even begin to support this for more than a few seconds, and an inadequate mage would probably die on the spot.


As you may have noticed, most of Eva's abilities are ruinous on prana drain. Her base amount, not doing anything, is about level with any other non-Berserker Servant. Once she starts fighting seriously, you may as well have Lancelot or Heracles, and that's without High Daylight Walker, Territory Creation, or a Familiar.

Bio: A young foreign girl whose parents moved to Japan when she was thirteen after her father got a job offer to teach chemistry at one of their universities. Her mother was a magus and her father was for all intents and purposes a normal human. However, he had a nasty habit of making explosives in their basement using his knowledge in chemistry. He even encouraged his daughter to help with making them from a very early age. The young Ingrid was fascinated by the explosives and fire in general. An accident with her mother's cat revealed her element to be fire with a bit of a twist. Recently moved to Fuyuki to participate in this Grail War she heard about from her grandparents.

Origin: Explosions
Powers: Because of her odd origin, she has the ability to cause small scale explosions, ranging from the size of a baseball to the size of a car, by snapping her fingers. These explosions usually occur in an area within her line of sight and cannot be changed once it's decided where the explosion will occur.

Personality: A sweet and cheerful girl who is obsessed with her former Servant. She's also completely insane, and a dangerous psychotic who will kill without hesitation or mercy, all with the same cheerful smile on her face. Despite her bubbly, almost ditzy personality, she is actually rather intelligent, and a genius mage.

Bio: A genius magus who took part in a previous Grail War, eventually falling insanely in love with her Servant. In order to ensure his victory, she began sacrificing others to boost his power without his knowledge. When he found out, she was just about to kill her own sister, having already finished off her father. Enraged and disgusted by her actions, her Servant attacked her and hurled her into the core of the Grail in an attempt to kill her. However, somehow she survived, comatose but alive, possibly by being sustained by the Grail, or possibly through some other unknown method. When the new Grail War began, the forces involved in choosing Masters inadvertently led to her being awakened, ready to take part in another war with only one wish in mind...

Element: Ether. Her Origin is Sacrifice (although it never specified that she was the one to be sacrificed, did it?).

Powers:

  • Magecraft: Manaka is a high-class magus, capable of utilising far more powerful spells than most regular magi. Due to her elemental affinity for Ether, her spells are not aligned to any of the four main elements.
  • Counter Magic: A form of Magecraft that Manaka shows an unusual level of skill with which allows her to disrupt the activity of Magic Circuits, thus preventing the conversion of prana and the casting of spells from opposing magi.
  • Mystic Eyes of Hexing: Allows the bearer to fire a debilitating curse from their eyes. Those struck by it are incapacitated for a short period.

Life-Link (A): As long as the Master remains alive, Hazama cannot be killed no matter what. If the Master is low on prana, this skill is ineffective.


Noble Phantasm:

Nox Nyctores, Ouroboros (Anti-Unit/Rank B): A Nox Nyctores that takes the form of chained snakes. Hazama is capable of throwing them at an opponent and pulling himself in upclose for an attack or pulling them his way. Hazama is also known to materialize Ouroboros as energy snakes capable of tearing into the opponent. The numbers that can be materialized are unknown, however.

BlazBlue (Support/Rank A+): The original BlazBlue. Upon activation, Hazama gains a boost in all stats and a green field bursts forth in the form of a runic circle. Anything within the circle is slowly drained of life and prana. All energy goes to Hazama. If the Master is unfortunate enough to be within the circle, they will be stripped of energy and most likely killed.

If you're ugly, an enemy or happen to have served the wrong wine for the meal, you're dead. Your family is dead. Your entire town will burn.

  • Mark of Slaanesh (B): Another blessing from Slaanesh. The mark renders any mental interference or mind reading (although given what Slaanesh's followers are known for, you're better off this way) completely worthless.
  • Mystic Face (B): A "blessing" with an effect similar to charm-type Mystic Eyes. However, it affects males in addition to females, to a lesser degree. "Women want him, men want to be him" would be a reasonable way to phrase this skill's effects.

Noble Phantasms:
Silverlash, The Blade of a Mad God (Anti-Unit/C): A silver rapier, forged from a shard of Slaanesh's own weapon as a gift to his favourite champion. This sword gives Sigvald a rank up in Agility while he wields it.

Auric Armour, Seal of the Contract (Support/A): A suit of armour that Sigvald recieved when he became Slaanesh's champion. Whilst wearing it, he seems incapable of changing from the form he had on that day. The armour itself is extremely tough, though its real strength comes from the regenerative abilities it holds. If Sigvald recieves an injury, it will reknit itself rather quickly. There are two ways to prevent this, one: decapitate him or two: use some form of magical fire to seal the wound, it won't stop him regenerating per se, it'll just slow it down.


What's a Fate RP without a haughty, vain asshole in gold armour?

Also, I may have some tiny details about his NPs wrong, but that'd just be backstory stuff that wouldn't affect their effects. Oh, and I imagine Auric Armour would be around Gil's armour's level of toughness, so C rank NPs would take several hits to break through but anything higher shouldn't have much of a problem.

As for why Mystic Face is a "blessing", well...I could go into a speech about how he lost what was left of his humanity due to everyone he met from that point on being drooling idiot fanboys/fangirls, or I could point out the fact that apparently he saw his reflection at some point and fell in love with himself to the point that he'll ocassionally stop mid-battle to admire how handsome he is.

Anyway, I'm writing this up while tired so...I probably screwed at least a couple of parts of it up. I'll try to write a Master up tomorrow, since we clearly need more of those.

Personality: Something of a ditz, at least outwardly, though she's much, much smarter than her actions would seem. Also a lesbian--this, at least, is hard to argue about. She has a same feeling that someone is missing... but who could it be? It doesn't really make much sense...

Bio: Heir to a wealthy family of magi, Konoka's life... hasn't been overly interesting. That's about to change, though...
Is she a reincarnation or merely a cross-dimensional duplicate? Who knows?

Element: Life (ether sub-element). Rare as it is, this means her abilities are going to end up rather far from the norm.

Powers: Through use of two mystic codes that each take a day to charge and are a constant drain on her, fortunately scarily large, supply of prana, Konoka can heal practically any injury and cure any poison. Once a day. She really needs to learn how to do this without the fans...

Personality: Loyal to a fault, completely and utterly oblivious to reciprocal feelings unless the other party grabs and kisses her...and it's so blatant that she's infatuated with Konoka that anyone can see it. And that the original Konoka was never opposed to the idea. Aside from that, she's serious--perhaps a bit too much--most of the time... and a tremendous pervert. Few other people include commentary on bust size and (by appearances) whether or not the other girl has bodily hair in assessments of strength.

[*] Sica Shishikushiro: B. Has the ability to turn into sixteen separate wakizashi and fire at the enemy, an attack that has its own name (Sica Shishikuro). It can also create a cage of electrical force around the enemy, which stops outside attacks from hitting them but prevents them from moving or attacking. It then tries to hit them. This attack is called Inatsurubi no Katama.
[*] Takemikazuchi: A+. Unusable until she starts referring to her Master by name (even if this requires a romantic relationship), it's a sword of three pieces: hilt, blade, and floating orb between them, with none of the three touching. Funnelling prana into it allows it to vastly grow in size, otherwise it's just a magical, surreal blade.
As Takemikazuchi also represents the passing of time and a growth in Setsuna's skills, once activated for the first time her stats all receive a rank up and so does her skill with the Shinmei-ryuu.

Hmm... I'd rather not be controlling the both of them, though, but this idea was too much fun...

Personality: Rin is the sort of person you’d never notice, one who would blend into the background at any event. She doesn’t make any attempt to directly interact with other people where it can be avoided and when it can’t, she’ll say the minimum possible and stick to being formal. Part of this is probably the isolation that came with not being allowed to talk to ‘normal’ children; the rest is from her past.

Wherever possible, Rin will avoid problems by sending whatever’s causing them on wild goose chases. She will never directly confront anyone, if she can help it.

Bio: Rin's parents were both mages. Whilst this provided an excellent background in the magical arts, their zeal for the subject was not particularly good for her social development. Rin became increasingly reclusive, mostly focusing on book learning and hardly ever actually attending school, eventually dropping out entirely and barely continuing her studies. One day, when she was at home and her parents were shopping, a man knocked on the door. Tall, drunken... she didn't want to deal with him and quickly answered any questions he had regarding her parents' whereabouts.

It turned out that the man was an old acquaintance of theirs and one who had been hunting them down over a perceived slight, or maybe a more serious reason. She never found out what; her parents were killed and then he hanged himself before the police could get to him. Nowadays, she just wants to try and undo that terrible event... or, failing that, gain some kind of family or friends that she can interact with without freezing up.

Element: Water

Origin: Redirection; it's what Rin lives her life by and her tendency to deal with problems by pointing them elsewhere has had drastic effects.

Powers: Rin's knowledge pretty much never extends to directly influencing her target. Always, she focuses on using some intermediary to do so, whether it be freezing water in the air and using the resulting ice as a temporary defence or (and this, naturally, is extraordinarily draining) redirecting the opponent's attack wholesale and turning it against them or some other nearby target if outright reflection is impossible. Most often, however, she uses her Mystic Code. By all appearances, it is just a pale blue ribbon ten metres in length, tightly coiled and attached to a handle. When prana is channelled through it, however, the ribbon becomes extremely good at slicing through things... and she can control it, luckily for her. Monomolecular wire is the best analogue.

She has an oddly high number of magic circuits, but given Rin's emphasis on never doing anything to directly engage her foe, it's not terribly useful. What use is high amounts of power you ignore?

An antique musket, it can only be fired with the chant "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, or Sailor, my bullet punishes all, Without Distinction." It fires 'Magic Bullets', which cannot miss. Should the attack be dodged, the bullet will turn around and fly at the enemy again. The bullets drain prana as long as they are moving, but are incredibly powerful.

  10. Hermit: Nyx gains a Magic Resistance of EX while Endurance stat is raised to A+. All other stats are locked at C.
  11. Fortune: Nyx gains elemental affinity with Fire, Wind, Ice and Lightning. Mana is raised to A+. Magical resistance is raised to A while other stats are locked at C.
  12. Strength: Nyx gains buffs of Mad Enhancement while remaining sane.
  13. Hanged Man: Nyx gains Magical Resistance of A. Mana stat is raised to A. Gains an affinity for dark magic that is capable of blinding the opponent and manipulating the environment.

Blade of Nyx (A): Nyx's primary weapon. It's a long sword capable of cutting through any and all defenses, although nothing 'absolute'. Has a dark elemental affinity.

The Dark Hour (EX): A strange reality marble that encompasses the entire world. It's an hour hidden between twelve o' clock and one in the morning. No shadows appear, however, but Masters are capable of fighting one another without worry for the public eye. A strange Noble Phantasm in that regard. People not participating in the war, even magi, transmogrify into coffins.
