Urban Fantasy Infothread Thingy!
Angels: Angels are a race of beings tasked with governing the safety of reality. They are winged humanoids with golden halos, and they see to it that reality remains safe and unharmed by outside intruders. They dwell in the realm known as heaven, a seemingly idyllic place composed of gold and white. In spite of what is believed, heaven and the angels have no connection with souls or the afterlife in any way. They are stronger and faster then humans, and extremely difficult to kill. As opposed to magic, Angels possess "holy" abilities. They are capable of hiding their wings and halo, as well. Exceptionally powerful angels, known as Archangels, command angelic legions to do battle with intrusions that are not severe enough for further action. They possess the Throne of God, an immensely powerful Miraculous Existence fueled by humanity's faith. Recently, there has been an angelic exodus due to the actions of the Archangel Gabriel and a rebellious angel.
Archangels(Colored archangels are claimed, by either plot or players): Gabriel, Michael, Raphael, Uriel, Raguel, Ramiel and Sariel.
Reincarnation: Reincarnation is a the process of remaking an existence naturally as a new being. This process results in a new being with the soul or the original. This process usually affects the human or the human-like. The reincarnated will often remember aspects of their past life, and even develop some of their abilities and characteristics(though not all of them, physically of personality-wise at least). Reincarnation does not effect everyone. Only those with a defined reason to be reborn will be reborn.
Vampires: There are many different kinds of vampires, each with different traits. Whoever, they all hold a few traits in common: Inclinations towards being nocturnal(for various reasons), and the need to drink human blood.
More information on factions and other important things will be added as things develop.

Miraculous Existences: A Miraculous Existence is an item that is both a miracle in nature, and able to cause a miracle. Such miracles can vary in nature, from items of healing to weapons of unlimited destruction. There are two types of Miraculous Existences:
*Artificial: Artificial Miraculous Existences are artificially-created miracles, items fashioned by those with high amounts of magical or holy power. They are capable of causing miracles, but must be fueled by something, be it an actual object or something abstract. The Throne of God and Excalibur are examples of Artificial Miraculous Existences. There can be living Artificial Miraculous Existences, but they require fuel to keep using their abilities and are extremely rare.
*Natural: Natural Miraculous Existences are miracles that occurred naturally, or were caused by natural magical phenomena. They are capable of causing miracles, and have an unlimited amount of power. However, some of the most powerful Natural Miraculous Existences can burn enough power that they become unusable for hundreds of years at a time. Some examples of Natural Miraculous Existences are Caliburn and Tsubame no Koyasugai Kara. There are living Natural Miraculous Existences, but they are incredibly rare and slowly kill themselves when they use their abilities.

*Artificial
**Butsuzō no Ishidzukuri Fukazara: A
***A simple stone bowl that was once crafted and used by Buddha himself, this miracle can produce a barrier of astounding strength. The barrier is neigh impenetrable, though sufficient amounts of power may shatter it. The user cannot move while using it, and it is fueled by the act of meditation.
**Dragonbone Limbs: C
***Crafted, as the name suggests, of the bones of a dragon, these (technically it's four Miraculous Existences, but they function as one) have one main function: allowing her to operate normally despite having had her natural limbs variously burnt off, chewed off, or otherwise rendered useless and gone. They can also give her the physical capabilities of a dragon, though that takes more power than otherwise. Its power source? Determination. Sakura gets faster and stronger the more determined she is to achieve something... and since she really, really doesn't want to lie limply on the floor, she always has enough to function normally. Due to their being bonded with her, Sakura can actually remove them so that sleeping doesn't involve lots of lying on bone limbs (just because they look and feel normal in action doesn't mean they're like that when there's no power) and force them to reattach. Naturally, she's incredibly vulnerable when sleeping, because that takes time.
**Eternal Stasis Drive: D
***A replacement for Sakura's heart, it halts the ageing process entirely unless removed (at which point she has bigger things to worry about, like having no heart) and ensures that her physical appearance always returns to the same point as when it was installed, given enough time. Pity she found it after losing her natural limbs. It actually makes for a handy sunblock. It runs off of the same energy as the rest of the human body, forcing Sakura to eat a hell of a lot.
**Fragarach: B
***TBA
**Frankenstein's Monster(Living): D
***Frankenstein's Monster is an artificial lifeform. He is a humanoid male constructed from the bodies of the dead. Powered by electricity, his very existence is a miracle. He is an incredibly fast learner, as well as extremely strong and resilient. He is believed to currently live somewhere in the arctic, occasionally going into Canada to purchase batteries.
**Heaven's Typewriter: C+
***The Thompson's Machine Gun that Amitiel wields is in fact a weak Artificial Miraculous Existence. It runs off of lethal potential(specifically that of the bullets loaded into it, though it can run off of anything that has lethal potential and is placed inside it), allowing it to create a miracle. This miracle is converting anything loaded into it into holy energies. These energies are highly dangerous, especially to the supernatural, and even moreso to demonic entities. When in use, golden wings of energy sprout from the right and left side.
**Hell - "Zone of Absolute Corruption": EX+++
***An ancient artificial Miraculous Existence so old that not even the angels know exactly who made it, or what purpose they had in mind for it. It is an extradimensional plane that corrupts anything placed inside it for an extended period of time. Notably, unlike what many belief systems preach, Hell is not a realm of evil, merely corruption. In fact, if an evil-hearted being was placed inside Hell, the evil in their hearts would become corrupted over time, leading to them actually becoming less evil than they were to begin with. It is for this reason that the angels use Hell as their own personal dumping ground, placing anything they find undesirable in Hell until such a time that its core being has corrupted enough to allow them to begin rehabilitation. Unfortunately, if something is left in Hell for too long, it will corrupt to the point that it will cease to be what it was when it entered and begin its transformation into a demon. Like Hell, demons aren't inherently evil, only corrupt; it is maybe for this reason that they seem to get along a lot better with humans than the angels in all their purity do. Hell is kept running by the corruption it causes; as there is seemingly no shortage of things the angels find undesirable enough to place in Hell, it does not seem like it will burn itself out any time soon.
**Mandjet, the Solar Barge: ???
***TBA
**Menagerie in Ametrine Ink: A
***Gold tattoos of various different animals. They are incredibly stylized, to the point where it is almost impossible to identify the animal at a glance. They are actually ground gems, imbued with the souls of various creatures and fused to the flesh of the subject in the form of tattoos. This allows the bearer to summon the creatures into the world for a short period of time. However, bigger ones are more taxing, at which point damage they take is represented as bleeding from the tattoo. Destroying the creature will result in heavy bleeding, though it will eventually stop and heal, and the creature can still be summoned. Most of the creatures are mythical, such as Pegasus.
**The Lance of Longinus: B
***A black lance made of an unknown material, the tip seemingly perpetually stained with blood. The Lance of Longinus is capable of piercing all defenses and will always kill what it hits, regardless of the nature. It will even alter causality in order to pierce defenses and it its target. The only way to survive this is to be truly immortal, or to have some method of altering causality. However, it is fueled by conviction to kill. If the wielder has even the tiniest scant amount of doubt in killing their target, the Lance's abilities will fail and it won't even scratch the skin of the target. The whereabouts of the Lance of Longinus are currently unknown.
**Lost Eden: A+
***Lost Eden is literally a sword created out of the concept of repentance. It is fueled by people who have sinned, but have acknowledged their wrongdoings and are working towards its repentance. Something struck by this spiritual sword would literally be burnt to cinders and ashes. The more fuel the sword has, the larger in scale it is. In its regular form, it resembles a simple cane, and in its unleashed form, it is a cross of literal white, gold, and red flames condensed to the point of looking like a literal sword of light. If there isn't enough repentance in the area, Uriel can boost it with his own heat energies at the cost of draining almost all his holy energies.
**The Red String of Fate: C
***TBA
**Solar Harness—Portal to the Sun: A
***A katana apparently forged from diamond, this is said to have some connection to Amaterasu. Whether it does or not, its power is to do with that great shining sphere: when activated, the amount of sunlight falling upon it (which DOES include light reflected from the moon; only new moon gives no charging) increases the rate at which the link between blade and celestial body can be established, indicated by how much of the weapon is shining. When it's fully shining, Ami has the ability to transport heat straight from the sun to where the blade points, vaporising most things and making the surrounding area rather uncomfortable, though it's a very focused blast. Then it needs to charge again.
**The Throne of God: EX+
***TBA
**'Til the End of Eternity: EX+++
***A ring of uncertain design and material, if properly powered it grants the wearer full control over time. Time travel, time distortion... the actual power source, though, is unknown, and the ring itself is cracked and always seems on the verge of breaking, bringing its vast power down to a mere E-Ranked speed boost.
All of its owners have died within three years of having gained it, so the ring can never really be tracked.
**The Wings of Icarus: E
***Replicas of the wax wings created by Daedalus. Their abilities are rather basic, they are simply instruments that allow those without flight the ability to fly. The run off of strong emotion, which can include hubris. The current wings are not the original, which was destroyed when Icarus flew too close to the sun.
*Natural
**Amulet of Impossible Aim: E(Rank depends on the attack involved)
***Allows the first attack used after the amulet is first equipped by a person to become unblockable and impossible to dodge. In Ami's case, this means that if she wants to glomp you, you're going to be glomped. It takes the form of her hair ribbon and, due to the magic involved, becomes a collar when she transforms. She just thinks that's all it does and considers it a handy addition to her wardrobe.
**Belphegor--Embodiment of Stasis: EX+++
***A living Miraculous Existence embodying the inability to change. Whilst it's not certain when she came into existence, her features suggest that it's around the same time as humanity did. The only things capable of making any change to her, or effecting one permanently, are herself (hence how she can learn) and an equally ranked Miraculous Existence with 'change' as its sole power.
**Belphegor--Indolent Demon: B
***The corrupted version of the above, her ability has weakened to the point you need only be more powerful than she is (hence, B+ or above ME's) to alter her, though damage is still reduced. She's also MUCH sleepier and, oddly, has a drive to create and change things other than herself, making her a wonderful inventor.
**Gae Bolg: B
***TBA
**Heracles(Living): A
***TBA
**Hom: C+
***A red string made from the intestine of a certain legendary beast. When activated, it imbues Lea with monstrous strength for thirty seconds, enough to throw about tanks and other armored vehicles with ease. It can also be used as a lasso in order to entangle and ensnare opponents. Many mistake it for a different Miraculous Existence, the Red String of Fate. Like Zi, it has a reload time of an hour.
**Hōrai Kara Hōseki no Shiten: A+++
***Hōrai Kara Hōseki no Shiten is a black branch with five limbs. It is about the length of a small child's arm. Each limb is tipped with a jewel, one red, one blue, one green, one yellow, one purple, and one pink. The branch is seemingly innocuous, but it is in fact capable of preforming the miracle of limitless destruction. The branch fires a blast of immense strength that is capable of rending through most materials and obliterating many targets.
**Kasai no Nezumi no Shitsunai Chaku: C+
***A robe made from the pelt of the fire-rat of China. It offers protection from all forms of heat and fire, as well as weak resistance to magic. It is fueled by the will to survive.
**Kusanagi no Tsurugi: C
***TBA
**The Maiden's Pure Heart: EX
***A Miraculous Existence powered by nothing other than love. A female's love for another female (or females, as the case may be), to be precise, it takes the form of an amulet formed from purest silver to resemble a lily and, depending on the amount of power, supplies everything from a minor defensive boost to extreme defensive power and superhuman abilities.
Heightened emotions increase the strength of the boost but actually fighting to defend another female raises it to its full strength. No matter what happens, the bearer will be able to keep fighting and heal at an accelerated rate. If the protectorate dies, the boosts will temporarily be raised to astronomical levels before the Maiden's Pure Heart stops functioning for the wearer forever. There is a version for the opposite gender, as well.
**Ryū no Nodobue Hōseki: B
***TBA
**Sun Wukong(Living): B++
***TBA
**Tsubame no Koyasugai Kara: EX
***As a Natural Miraculous Existence, Tsubame no Koyasugai Kara(A cowrie shell hatched from a swallow's egg) can create a miracle itself. However, it may only be used once every five hundred years. Said miracle unlocks a world within Hisako's memory, creating a landscape of the moon. Here, but only here, she may alter reality as she sees fit.
**Yata no Kagami: B
***TBA
**Yasakani no Magatama: A
***TBA
**Zi: C+
***A flower-looking charm made of a certain bird's feathers that spouts giant wings of pure white plumage. This allows Kelpie to be able to fly, and is in actuality the much better version of the Wings of Icarus are based on. It's also powerful enough to create strong wind currents. One can also use it to buffet things too by whacking them with it or as impromptu shields seeing as they don't transmit pain to its user. Lasts for only thirty seconds per each usage and the reload time is an hour in between uses.
Archangels(Colored archangels are claimed, by either plot or players): Gabriel, Michael, Raphael, Uriel, Raguel, Ramiel and Sariel.

The only things capable of making any change to her, or effecting one permanently, are herself (hence how she can learn) and an equally ranked Miraculous Existence with 'change' as its sole power.
Belphegor--Indolent Demon: B
The corrupted version of the above, her ability has weakened to the point you need only be more powerful than she is (hence, B+ or above ME's) to alter her, though damage is still reduced. She's also MUCH sleepier and, oddly, has a drive to create and change things other than herself, making her a wonderful inventor.
