Medieval RP: The kingdoms of Ardania and Derangia

Airen wasn't opposed to Connor tagging along. It was Winni's decision after all and since she was the employer he had no right to object... to a certain extent...

"I'll just go pack my things," he said, setting his drink aside. "We'll meet at the entrance hall in twenty minutes."

Then, without waiting for any affirmative, he stood from his seat and left the mess hall, already deciding what gear he should bring on the journey.

Winni nodded, impressed, "Yes, he's very efficient..." And in a quiet voice she added, "Shoulda found a pretty girl though..." She shook her head.

Jack however enjoyed watching Airen leave before turning back to Winni and Connor, "Well Connor, if you'll be carrying stuff for us then I certainly don't mind," He said, turning to leave as well. "I'll go wait at the entrance, I have nothing else to do,"

Winni turned to connor, "Alright let us go get my stuff! Oh and what was your name again?" She asked as she began to pull Connor away from the table.

".. Why on Earth do you want to go to Derengia and kill a dragon? Doing so would get you killed, if the horrible army over there didn't do it first." her expression had turned.. almost disgusted, as she spoke about Derengia. "Still, I suppose there's probably some group around here that could take you there."

She calmed down a bit as she spoke, releasing her grip on her sword's handle. Clearly, this dwarf wasn't a bad person, nor much of a threat to herself or the princess. She seemed.. a little foolish, if nothing else. Glancing behind her, her eyes when wide as she noticed she had gotten separated from the princess and Milano.. in the middle of the city.

"Oh.. gods. You. Dwarf." She looked at Valery again, frowning. "Due to your interference, I have lost track of my companions. Therefore, you will help me find them. Come along." With that, she started off the direction she thought Candy and Milano went in.

Catarina smiled as she found a satisfactory wig, not too fancy and not too plain, with long, wavy hair. Going over to Barny, she placed it on his head and lightly combed her fingers through the false hair. "There. Ohh, doesn't he look beautiful, Lukas?"

Suddenly, the book flew into the air in front of Marlene and Polly.

"The Orb of MacGuffin is 50 miles West. Good luck," it said, in monotone, before falling into Polly's arms.

"...that was convenient," said Polly. "But I don't think I shall head in that direction; I believe it is my responsibility to make sure you get home safely...."

Marlene reached out to Polly from up on the horse, smiling. It's your duty to get this.. orb, right? Your quest or whatever? I don't want to interfere plus.. this sounds a lot more fun than going back home just yet." She motioned with her hand for Polly to climb up, insisting that they continue on this journey.

"So let's get going.. it'll take us a bit to travel that far."

"You realize it's probably going to be dangerous, right?" said Polly. "For one thing, if it wasn't; the queen would have sent a clerk or something to fetch it rather than a knight. For another...we have no idea where we are..."

That exact thought had JUST occured to her. She found herself hoping they were TOO far from home that her supplies wouldn't last long enough to get there and back.

"Please, I can handle a bit of danger. I'm tougher than I look." She waved it off, like possibly dying didn't mean a thing in the world to her. "As for having no idea where we are, well.. that just gives us more of a reason to just start heading west, if we don't know how to get back anyway." Marlene sat side-saddle on Trampler, looking down at Polly.

"If you're worried about supplies or something, I'm quite capable of fixing food out of just about anything. Now, get on the horse so we can start this adventure. Plus," She leaned forward, her low-cut top purposefully giving little to the imagination. I'd like to spend more time with you."

Polly blushed a bit as Marlene leaned forward. This girl would not be happy to discover her lack of certain male organs.

"Well...fine," said Polly, getting on the horse. "But I ride in front,"

Marlene smiled and moved over, allowing Polly to get on the front. "Aw, and I was hoping you would put one arm around me as we rode, it'd be quite romantic." She chuckled softly and smiled, watching her and she got on. "But I suppose that's okay.."

Once Polly was one, she slid her arms around her waist, seemingly unbothered by the fact she was wearing armor. "This is nice too, in its own way."

Valery huffed. "I need to kill a dragon! Nobody can kill me!"

When Alice demanded she follow her, she huffed again, "No way! I won't follow you anywhere! I do as I please!"

Barny pouted, ignoring her comments now. He hoped to whatever God there was that Lukas decided to save him. He doubted it though, because he's never been much of a church goer.

"Oh she went to go talk to that dwarf from before, My Princess," Milano answered as they neared the castle entrance. "I must be on my way, princess. Farewell."

With that, Milano headed inside the castle. She had to go deliver these vegetables to the chiefs before they got irritable at her for being late. She had just turned another corner of the corridor when she bumped into something, or rather someone rather large. It caused her to fall back and land on her butt, sending the contents of the bag all over the floor.

Lyra stared at the castle in wonder, not even noticing when the maid had left. This was the first time seeing the castle up close, "Wow..."

That was all she could say. Words had left her as she gazed upon the magnificence of the castle. It was indescrible, simply amazing.

Marie thanked her guard as she headed into the wine cellar. She walked over to the rows and rows of wine bottles and picked up one of the finer bottles, popping open the lid. It fizzed out of the side slightly as she went to get glasses and poured herself and the guard a glass. She handed one of the glasses to Lognia, "Cheers, may our days be forever peaceful."

Alice huffed, deciding it was pointless to drag the Dwarf along with her anyway. The princess and Milano were mostly likely already at the castle, anyway. "Very well, do as you please. Good-bye, miss Dwarf." She gave a quick bow, the most familiar dismissal she was sued too, then turned and quickly began heading back to the castle.

After jogging back, she caught up with Candy a little bit after they had made it to the castle. "My apologies, my princess. I had to.. dissuade the Dwarf from before from following us back to the castle." Upon hearing Lyra's reaction to it, she couldn't help but puff up a bit, proud that she lived and worked here.

There was no place she would rather be.

Catarina chuckled at Barny's expense. "Such a pretty girl~"

Valery didn't know what to say. If she were to be honest, she thought Alice would fight to make her follow.

"She could've just asked nicely..." She sighed. She headed towards the castle, this time not following Alice.

"Oh," Said candy in response to Milano, "See ya!" She said, waving. When Alice walked up she perked immediately, "Alice! I feel safer now," She giggled a bit.

She then turned to Lyra, "Yeah, the Castle is great isn't it?" She smiled at her brightly.

Gawain turned around, "Watch where you're going you wench!" He said, noticing who had bumped into him. He hadn't even budged at the touch, and in truth he wasn't bothered at all by it. Any other knight would likely have helped her but he just shouted at Milano.

"Yeah it is, I've never seen a place this large..." Lyra admitted as she contnued to stare at the castle with wide eyed wonder.

"O-oh, my apologies Sir Gawain," Milano said as she quickly picked up the vegetables and put them back in her bag. She knew who this man was, her queen had informed her of him. This guy made the hairs on the back of her neck stand. He was really an imposing man, one who she had tried to avoid up until this point.

Alice smiled affectionately at Candy. "I'm honored you place so much trust in me, my princess. I would never let any harm come to you." She glanced at Lyra as she said this, assuring her that if she tired anything, she would personally stop her. She put on a more pleasant expression, though, when she looked back at Candy.

"My princess, would you like me to prepare a guest room for Miss Lyra? The queen is most likely not be able to meet with her one-on-one today, due to the festivities. We also need to get you changed into proper attire soon." She stood with her hands clasped in front of her, her demeanor quickly becoming that of a simple maid.

Gawain looked more closely at Milano, "Eh? I think I recognize you, come here," He grabbed her by the chin and got right in her face.

"Yeah, I know you... I know your secret..." He had a devilish grin on his face, "Come with me, we need to talk in private," He grabbed her arm and led her away from where they were.

Candy nodded, "Yeah, I should really get dressed... mama would be so mad if I show up like this at her birthday party," She winked at Alice, "Well lets go then~ And of course Lyra should have a room prepared!" She said, having almost forgotten.

"Birthday party?" Lyra asked aloud, looking from the castle to Candy, "It's the queen's birthday?"

"H-huh? what?" Milano said in confusion as she was pulled along. Wait.. he said secret... oh... that must mean Dulcy told him. He knew she was a fellow spy. But... what could he possibly want with her. There was something unsettling about the whole thing that made her stomach twist into knots. Something told her to run, get away, but the man's grip was just too tight to escape.

Candy nodded, "Mhm~ My mama is having her birthday today. I feel sorta silly, I shouldn't have forgotten..."

Valery happened to walk up nearby, let out an 'eep!' before turning around and walking away. She didn't want to be around that group right now.

Gawain brought her through a few hallways, and into his private bedchamber. He had a private room seperate because of his deeds as a Knight, having taken out quite a few powerful enemies. He's gotten a bit of special Treatment going on, though it was tentative since he wasn't exactly the most noble personality wise.

"Well, Mirano, now we can talk privately," He said, having accidentally forgotten her name slightly and mispronounced it.

"I know you're a spy. I'm one too. So that means we work together, right?" He said, his tone was calm but... something about it would creep anyone out. Something creepy was behind it, something that most people might notice.

"I-I suppose..." Milano answered uncertainly. She didn't bother to correct him on her name, no. She'd much rather run away. There was something very creepy about his question, like there was some underlying meaning to it. But.. she couldn't run. For one, Dulcy would be upset if she disrespected of her spies another is that even if she did try, the hulking man could easily overpower her.

Gawain nodded, "That's right," His voice could even be described as regal... but why was it so creepy?

"Allies help each other out. You see, I've been having a bit of a problem," He said, walking around the room a little, looking Milano over quite blatantly.

"I have this....need. A certain need every man meets, but lately I've been having trouble finding the right.... cure, to my need. Do you understand?" He asked, giving her a creepy perverted grin.

Meanwhile, in a storage room in the Ardanian Castle...

"Aaaaand this is mine, and this is mine, and that's mine, and that's rotten, and that's a dead rat... blech, they really need to keep this place cleaned." Gnak was talking to himself, merrily shoving food items in a large sack.

"Ooh, is that sausage? And behind it... they have an extensive amount of meat. I LOVE knocking up this castle." Gnak chuckled to himself, climbing up a shelf to reach what looked like lamb. He promptly fell backwards, crashing into a shelf and tilting it.

"Ooooh fuuuu-"
Several loud crashes were heard as shelves collapsed.

Milano watched the man as he paced around the room, uneasily. She knew what the man was implying. It wasn't like the subject of sex was new to the maid. She often had to entertain her queen or anyone else she was ordered to. But still.. she'd rather not do these things while on a mission, plus it wasn't like Dulcy was here to order her to sleep with this man.

"I-I'm sorry Sir Gawain, but I shouldn't. I have to focus on my mission."

"It's Connor..!" He was able to say when he was suddenly yanked along.

"Connor..." Winni repeated as they moved along, "I like it!" She smiled, "I'll make sure you get good pay for carrying my stuff," She said as they left the castle.

Jack stood at the entrance watching them leave. He looked around, wondering if there was some way to occupy his time. He hated wasting time. Time was one thing he couldn't put in a bottle and save for later...

Gawain stepped up to her, looking straight down on her from his position way on high. He liked to think of it that way. He always did when looking down on someone.

"Oh? Did you say no?" He asked. He laughed a little now, as he bent a little. "You seem to be under the impression I'm giving you a choice," He said in a very low voice, right in her face. All playfulness and regality lost, he was now simply stating a fact, letting his breath cover her face.

A maid was cleaning the hallway outside his room, without noticing anything.

Milano backed into the wall. She could smell his repugnant breath as he got closer to her face. This was bad, this was really bad. She didn't want this, she never wanted this. But it seemed she was going to have no choice in the matter, not even running was an option. "Please... don't..."

It was all she could do, she knew it was useless. Men like him would do it anyway, but she had to at least say something.

Gawain only smirked, enjoying the fear she felt. He loved the face she made, and he revelled in it.

He didn't even say anything as he moved in, his body so huge compared to hers. He loved them small, is what he thought about as he forced a kiss on her.......

A maid stood outside, watching a bit of what happened having accidentally knocked the door open. She gasped, not able to look away...

Finally she tore her eyes away and ran to find Alice. Alice was the only woman this maid trusted, and another knight would only make things worse right? "I mean," She said aloud, her thoughts going crazy, "It's a KNIGHT doing it!" She had tears in her eyes. She had particularly liked Milano...

Alice nodded to the princess, going over and speaking to a couple of maids as they entered the castle, who quickly went off to prepare a guest room. She spoke to a third maid who had been standing next to the other two, and she came back over with her.

"Miss Lyra, this is Milla, one of my best maids." The girl bowed, blushing at the compliment. "She will be happy to show you around the castle while I help the princess get dressed, and she can also show you where your guest room is, once it has been made up. It shouldn't take too long." She bowed respectfully, and Milla did so a second time, to both the princess and Lyra.

"My princess, shall we go now?"

Having finished up, Gawain forcefully threw Milano down on the bed.

He laughed loudly, "You know, it wasn't as good as I thought it'd be. You're body's nice to look at but.... well, I guess me new queen is a bit rougher with her help than I thought," He smirked, "Oh and don't forget, mention this to nobody, you don't want to compromise our mission,"

He exited the room, his laugh picking up again.

Candy nodded to Alice, but then looked at Lyra, "Though Alice.... I think I should show our guest to her room," She smiled and grabbed Lyra's hand, "Could you please go get my clothes ready Alice? I'm sorry to trouble you, but I want to get to know our gues a bit better," She smiled brightly at Alice, hoping that'd suffice for now. She'd make it up to her later.

She pulled Lyra along expecting the Maid to follow as well.

The maid was running down the halls, panting. Where's Alice?"She though to herself, dashing along, "Only Alice will be able to help her.... only Alice is strong enough to stand up to Sir Gawain! No other maid could possibly, and no other knight would dare... She then accidentally slammed into Alice, this being a few moments after Candy, Lyra, and Milla had left.

"O-Oh! Alice!" She looked her right in the face, "I'm so sorry.... but there's no time! Something terrible has happened!" Her face showed such terror.

Alice was, obviously, displeased by the arrangement, but she did not argue, nor show it on her face until Candy had turned away. It wasn't her place to interfere, after all, so if Candy wanted to spend time with her guest, that was perfectly reasonable. Her eyes flickered down to their joined hands, watching them leave for a few moments before she turned on her heel and began walking to Candy's room, to obediently get her clothes ready.

Except, only a few moments after she had started walking, she felt someone slam into her. She quickly regained her balance and caught the other woman, holding her shoulders and looking at her. "It's alright.." She started, before she saw the look of terror in the other maid's eyes. "What has happened? No.. quickly.. take me to where it is and explain as we go."

The maid nodded, tears forming in her eyes as they started walking.

"I-i-it's the new Maid.... and Sir Gawain..." She said, her mind hardly bearing the thought of what happened. She could hardly speak what happened.

"He.... she said no, she asked him not to... but he did anyway...." Tears were falling from her eyes, "I didn't know who else to turn to!"
